Very precise, love your videos because these upgrades are what I’m going to do to my stinger this winter
Great installation really detailed ! Cool Job
Wow great video!
Nice bro! Good advice on hooking them up before install to make sure they are working first 👊
Thanks man! Yeah no worse feeling than having your car taken apart and realizing what you were going to install doesn’t work 😅
@@KDMCurt Just ordered mine for my 2022 like 5 minutes ago lol. I still gotta make a new youtube so I can dedicate it to Stinger content
What is all that red hose/shield stuff in the engine called and for ?
Great video. After installing the snorkels did you notice a change in induction sound?
This is a great instal video. Used it to put mine in. I did keep the shroud though 😬.
To C Mack, how did you keep the shroud, can you elaborate? Seems shroud is there for a purpose.

I keep trying to reply to you but my message keeps going away. I tried to share the link with the pictures I used as a reference but long story short, I felt the same about the shroud so I used a dremel to cut holes in the shroud so they slipped in.
Excellent Job patriot nice look to the car indeed can't wait to do mine too stay safe and good luck w your new marriage lol peace
Great video, looking to do the same to my Stinger. Could you tell me where did you get the front bumper lip spoiler?
Amazon, I have a video for it on here as well and theirs a link in the description of that video for it.
Great video! Easy to follow. I was curious why you chose to take the Shroud out completely and not just cut a little spot for the snorkels? Is that shroud just a waste of space? Or did you feel the benefit of the factory shroud was not worth the hassle?
Thank you! Most people I watched and read instructions from just removed the shroud all together as it doesn’t seem to hinder performance with it gone, so I went ahead and did that too. Plus if you end up damaging the shroud you can’t go back to stock if there is a need.
@@KDMCurt Thanks for the quick reply. I can’t decide how I want to do it. Maybe I’ll decide once the bumper is off 😆
can you elaborate How others have connected them so they turn on/off with the car? Second could you explain a little more how you secured wiring, esp the bluetooth control box? Thanks, excellent video by the way
To get the lights to turn on/off with the car you would need to put them in a different fuse spot in that box. I’m not exactly sure which one as I only researched plugging them in the way I did in the video so they could be used with the car off. I just secured the cables up under the edge of the engine bay with zip ties and in some areas a little high bond tape.
Nice vid. Did you have to change any of the ECU settings with the installation of the cold air intake and new duct work? I was warned that with the installation, the ECU should be upgraded since airflow is being increased. Thoughts?
Nope never had to adjust ECU at all, most newer cars the ECU will automatically adjust to compensate for the new amount of airflow unless it’s just a crazy amount the engine can’t handle.
@@KDMCurt gotcha. I hear the sound an engine can make with the intake installed. Much more aggressive sound.
Great video, I wanted to ask where you get the red braided hoses from?
Wonderful love it now the big question is this only for the GT2 trims? Can this be done on the GTLine trims as well ??
How do they handle rain? The reason for the stock location was to avoid elements like rain getting to the air filters.
Driven with them in heavy rain 3 times now, filters were dry every time. The snorkels curve up inside in a way that makes it so any water that would get past the grill and to the snorkel would just drip down out of the front of the snorkel. You would have to drive into a pond for these things to suck up enough water to get your filters wet.
Does the fuse tap make it so they cut on with lights?
The fuse tap just allows you to plug it in to the fuse box, now which fuse spot you plug it in to is what matters when powering them on/off. The fuse spot I plugged them in to supports power even when the car is off so I can use the lights when I’m parked at a car show.
What’s up bro, just installed these. Do you leave the switch to the actual wires on and just turn off the lights through your phone when you’re not using them. Or do you flip the switch completely to save the battery. Will it affect my battery if I don’t flip it every time?
I just turned them off with my phone, no need to disconnect each time to save battery. It won’t drain when they aren’t on.
Should I turn the switch off when my vehicle isn’t ruining even if I turned it off with the app? I’m worried about my car battery dying.
If you’ve turned them off with the app you should be perfectly fine. They use barely any energy at all.
Do I have to put the Air intakes on first or can I put the Snorkles on first.
Want to start modding my 2018 gt1 but scared of voiding any warranty’s ):
Everything I have done so far has kept my warranty intact as confirmed by my Kia Dealer. However once you start modifying things like exhaust and bigger engine components that’s when dealerships start to look at you funny and talk about voiding.
Do yours automatically turn off? Or do you have to manually do it??
Has to be done manually in the app if it’s connected the way I did it. I’ve seen people do it another way that shuts off with the car but then you can’t turn them on when you’re parked somewhere.
@@KDMCurt can you elaborate How others have connected them so they turn on/off with the car? Second could you explain a little more how you secured wiring, esp the bluetooth control box? Thanks, excellent video by the way
Can I install this on my 2022 gt line?
They have a kit for the GT-Line that is just a single scoop, not sure you would be able to mount these the same since they are made for the twin-turbo models.
Thank you! Looks bad ass though! I should of got the gt1 but they were marking it up too high and they wouldn't budge. All good though, I'll probably just get an underglow kit lol
Actually, you said that I couldn't mount them the same as these, but you think I could still mount them?
@@ianolsen6389 well you might still be able to mount them, I’m just not 100% sure and I don’t want to tell you yes and then you end up wasting your money.
Mate! what a great informative vid, just in the process of getting myself a Stinger and seeing what upgrades people are doing, and stumbled on your channel. Thanks again!
Glad my videos could help, if you have any questions about any of the installs feel free to ask.
