Aging Isn't A Curse. But Ageism Is A Serious Global Problem. | Think | NBC News
As far as finding a job past 60, it IS a global issue
Thank you! As an “older” person who has been, and at times impacted by Ageism, this is an important message.
Some of the comments in the comment section are disheartening but give a strong clue about WHY ageism persists.
What I can’t stand is beauty is defined by youth, I think it’s so weird, why can’t being old be beautiful?
I just have to comment that I am watching this as a 56-year-old college student. I love how she says "powerful lifelong process."
I wanna be this woman in the future.
No shame in my game. The older I get, the less I care what other people think.. either that or I just can't remember what people say about me anymore. ha
Fantastic video that must be shared. Thanks. Cognitive decline and muscle deterioration and loss of balance etc. can, in most cases be prevented, and even reversed with USE. Use it or Lose it applies to all these.
Ageism is everywhere and it is Bad.
I define an ageist as someone who has low age tolerance and Acceptance to people. They only tolerate their age category. I think people who want to do things that are not supposed to be common in their age categories are often stigmazied and discriminated.
And just like other forms of prejudice, it is so stupid and it's a lose lose game. No one benefits from it.
The lack of views to this story only proves your point.
Ageism is an issue in many areas…. It makes money. They charge me more for rentals, at 20 then 40.. and insurance, a girl my age won’t date when 22 will want a 30 year old guy… is there a system to classify how is not acceptable? No it’s stupid because you have to reach an age to get that unfairness…SMh
Yeah they want us to exercise alot lift wts .run here and there get botox clothes to make us look younger it's ridiculousl I'm not going to do any of that .
65 is young
In politics... It's 'for our young people' yet I haven't taught them how to clean their TOASTERS yet... Nor how the meaning they derive from THEIR stories is rooted with the cultural ETHOS that we witnessed 👀
