- More Cobbles this time with two Serena Microphones in ORTF.
Ponto Beach is one of the beaches of the world where there are lots of cobbles and the ocean moves them around as the waves break. This results in a really wonderful sound that I love listening too. I hope you do as well.

Hi Jules, me again!
Ok, so I have been listening and trying to pay attention to lots of details, among several videos of yours and others, read opinions, reviews about mike capsules and what not... including MicParts stuff.
I came to the conclusion that: This video sounds awesome, the drums on the building the Serena mike sound amazing (JLI Electronics and Sound Sleuth Microphone Kits Build Video) (specially the kick drum, love it, soooo natural and punchy, even when the sound is low because you are speaking, explaining stuff), and then found out about your videos, specially this one: Open Air Recording: Kady Speeks, I love how the voice sounds. Just phenomenal (the intro for those video series sounds superb too!). So the conclusion is I want the TSC-1 capsule, to mod my Nt1-A microphone. Right?
So my question and probably only doubt it: Does it have a good volume? Weird question maybe but I have bought other chinese capsules from dubious sellers and it is way low sounding in volume compared to the original that comes with the Rode Nt1-A.
Just need confirmation this won't happen with the TSC-1 capsules (which are a "replica" of the 67/87, right?).

OK, Long story short. The TSC-1 is a great capsule. It is manufactured in an ISO-9001 certified facility. It will work fine in an NT1-A. WIth that said I use my OPA circuit for all my mics and it has unity gain so I know you will get "normal" levels out of it. Get one or two...
@@SoundSleuthTy ty Jules. Forgive me I have one more question: If I wanted also a capsule with a u47 sound, you have the JLE-RK47, but it's dual, right? Should I buy it even if my condenser (I plan on installing it on a Blue Baby Bottle I have laying around) is only cardiod? Thank you, Jules.

Nice recording. What are you using for wind protection on the Serenas? I use a pair of Rode Nt1s and need to improve my current system which is just a pair of rycote windjammers
