    A little diesel motor and an f350

    Heck ya! Make sure to use the ladder as a support when you deploy the tent. Those hinges in the middle aren't made to hold the weight without support.

    • @jeremyvigil4138
      @jeremyvigil4138 4 роки тому +6

      Was thinking the same. Ethan should make some kinda support for the tent while there in it.

    • @bugrnfris5056
      @bugrnfris5056 4 роки тому +2

      I think he should make supports to fix the hinge issue and the tilting issue. I’m sure Ethan can figure it out lmao. Maybe use the ladder? Or you could mount some old jacks with metals plates on them to the back of the trailer for support!

    Splendid camper! Pimp your trailer with independent trailing suspension...those leaf springs hammer your gear over long track hauls...(all the best, outback traveler, Oz) PS, the ladder should be connected to tent floor when you get into it, the hinge is not designed to take all the weight of a body climbing in to the cantelevered floor.

    Zipties are the perfect shovel mount, carry spares, when you actually need to use your shovel cutting a few zipties is the least of your worries.
    Also, to level your trailer, if it's still sitting a bit tongue high, run the front wheels of Senders up onto a couple 2x6s and it'll tip the tongue down. Cut a few chunks down and tuck them in the corner of the trailer, easy levelling blocks.

    You guys have probably already been out overlanding with this setup but I wanted to suggest adding some angled braces to the tongue to create a triangle up front. After awhile all the side by side twisting will snap welds where the tongue is welded to the trailer platform. The triangle will add strength to help against the flexing side to side.

    It would be cool to see you guys build a sliding tray under the cooler so you could just slide it out grab what you need and slide it back that would have been cool but great build guys loving it

    That’s is awesome! You should add a sliding tray to the front with a plate to protect cargo from dirt!

    Park Colonel Senders under the tent and put a jockey wheel on the draw bar. Keeps it dry you will know if anyone is messing with it and it would support the end of the tent.

    Put slide out jack stabilizers for the back and front of the trailer so that you can disconnect if you want

    Word of advice on your pop up tent. add a pair of legs to the far end thats just hanging there with no support under it. set them up so that when you open the tent they automatically flip out in to position.

    very nice I suggest putting a canvas tarp on the front of the trailer to protect your gear. I foresee holes in the cooler from the 1000 mph rocks them tires through.lol

    That's a perfect setup but u are missing 1 thing.. A Small Broom to clean off cooler and other things from the rooster tail it produces.. Good Job on the build..

    Use a full u joint from a driveline for the trailer so you get full up and down and side to side articulation without binding.

    Awesome build. Looks like the front of the trailer might need a rock deflector shield though. Otherwise something kicked up by the rear tyres could put a hole in the water container or tent. A sheet of rubber would do.

    Speaking about Power Wheels Mods. I'd love to see a third (detachable) axel on that Jeep, make it a 6x6, would make it much more capable of hauling a trailer

    Them: You need a $60,000 pickup or SUV with about $30,000 worth of mods to overland.

    You could put power assist brakes on the overland trailer to help with the weight stoping down hills
