The Imitation Game - Main Theme (Piano Version)
Piano Version by Patrik Pietschmann
This time I have dedicated myself to another great film composer. Since I really like the "The Imitation Game" soundtrack by Alexandre Desplat, I created this piano arrangement based on the tracks "The Imitation Game" and "Alan Turing's Legacy".
In this video I have combined my live piano playing with the visualization of the music material by programming my own "Synthesia"-like software.
Please subscribe to my channel if you like the video! :-)
You can now STREAM or DOWNLOAD this track on all major music services, such as Spotify, iTunes, Google Play, Apple Music, Amazon, Deezer, Tidal, etc. Here's the link: lnk.to/xtNOqF

My favorite quote FOREVER!
❤❤❤
"Do you know why people like violence?, because it feels good. Humans find violence deeply satisfying. But remove satisfaction , the act becomes hollow."
there is something wrong with you if you find violence deeply setisfying then that is the problem we need to find satisfaction from different things than violence
You Truly thank you
Yes, that is absolutely and completely and absurdly true. It’s a rather disgusting and revolting truth though, but a truth none the same. 😱😭 #PacifistTeam! 👍
Pratiksha Kamat your totally right
You now, not many people now this
You guys know that this is a quote from the movie... right?
I can’t watch this movie without crying at the epilogue: “After a year of government mandated hormonal therapy, Alan Turing committed suicide on June 7th, 1954. He was 41 years old..... Historians estimate that breaking Enigma shortened the war by more than two years, saving over 14 million lives....”
Same! It's a great but also sad movie...
I also cried at that very moment. The them is too good.
Damn you i'm crying rn
We all need a Christopher in our lives!
It was so sad. However, that is not a main reason that he decided to suicide. He finished his hormonal therapy.
Christopher: “It’s about Cryptography.”
Alan: “Like secret messages?”
Christopher: “Not secret, that’s the brilliant part. Messages that anyone can see but no one really knows what they mean unless you have the key.”
'Isnt that.. like, like talking? Like, nobody every says what they mean.. and they expect you to onow.. but I, i never know what they mean'that part stuck in my head
Alan I'm having a funny feeling that you're going to be really good at this
"Gives Alan his cryptography book"
I have a story !
There is a man called Alan Turing ( he died after ww2, killed himself, he wasn't being treated right in shorter ways ), and he had a friend when he was in school, Christopher Morcom. He died of tuberculosis though, and it is rumored that Turing might've fancied him, some Historians believe that part, I don't.
Anyways Alan Turing grew up with cryptography being a big part of his life, I picture that conversation taking place for some reason.
This movie is underrated. Bendersnatch Creamsickles' interpretation of the role was really moving.

For Alan Turing and his contribution hidden for decades...This is one of the best soundtracks I have ever heard
all I can imagine was Benedict Cumberbatch's face while listening to this.
I see the superhero character :-)

Any chance of John Murphy - Sunshine (Adagio in D Minor) ?

Need it be mentioned these are his own renditions?
JonDoe297 you so right
I have a Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering. Alan Turing is one of the hero's that the world did not deserve. Leaves one to wonder how much more he could have achieved if it wasn't for the "therapy" that cost him his life.

@Theodore Michotte van den Berck you realise that you just contradicted yourself?
@@parimalkakde7714 Precisely. People just have to oppose opinions withoit any of their own.
The end scene is about him standing at a fire burning the papers with his colleagues ... what do you mean? o.O
@@SnuSnu91 Are you sure your thinking of the right one? there is multiple. At the end after the burning of the papers, it goes to the aftermath of his hormone medication and how his house is a mess and how he is calling all his inventions after his friend. you must of watched till the end or something otherwise ill link the end scene.
@@jarwin7592 I watched it again...you mean when he turns off the light, right? oh man that's really heartbreaking...
First 35 seconds
"OH that doesn't look really hard."
36 seconds
".....oh... nvm."
Learning songs on piano looks hard, but most songs have a repetitive pattern based structure. So if you take time to learn, it becomes really quite easy
well actually the right hand movement at 0:06 is way harder to do than it looks
Louis Auffret I know, it’s been a night mare to get the hang of just that starting section! I’ve actually found after 36 seconds it’s actually easier that that starting section, it’s the double notes on the right hand just make it so difficult at the start. After 36 it’s pretty much broken chords. Not sure if everyone else find it the same, just to me I found the first section much harder.
Louis Auffret Affirm on that!
Yup, been playing for a while and can confirm the beginning is probably the hardest part because of the double notes
There's two times I appreciate the greatness of this man, whenever I see him play, and whenever I try to play like he does
"Sometimes it is the people no one imagines anything of who do the things that no one can imagine."-Alan Turing
ok this is magic.. most underrated soundtrack ever
When i'm trying to learn this, my fingers be like " wtf u tryin' to do wit me"

I listen to this soundtrack almost every day and it is one of the most beautiful soundtracks I have heard in a movie. i like how the notes that comprise the melody are glowing, makes it way easier to see them it's really helpful
This piece gives me goosebumps every time. The melody itself is just so captivating and your performance perfects its genius. Well done, sir! :)

One of the most marvellous pieces ever made in my opinion. Alan Turing would be more than proud. You’ve done the world an honour, Patrik.
speechless....
I'm a simple man. I see Patrik Pietschmann, I click Like.
I cant look at a photo of Alan Turing without crying...knowing his life and he invented a machine that i love and knowing that 1 man out of 4+ billion at the time could make such a difference and everyone doubted him but Christopher has become so smart. And atleast he can be with the boy he loved aswell as his inventions, family and even the people he loved. Ill always have a place in my heart for this man. And what he accomplished saved us. im only the way i am today bc of him. And i think that sometimes it is the very people who no one imagines anything of...who do the things that NO ONE can imagine...he certainly made Christopher proud
The first time I heard this i listen to it at least 900 more times
