TRON: Legacy - Main Theme (Piano Version)
Piano Version by Patrik Pietschmann
Some of you have requested this soundtrack several times, now it's finally done. The "TRON: Legacy" soundtrack is Daft Punk's first film score. It was arranged and orchestrated by Joseph Trapanese.
This piano arrangement consists of three major parts: In the first part I used the arpeggios from the track "The Son of Flynn" as an intro. In the second part I took the main theme of the soundtrack which occurs in several tracks like "Overture", "The Grid" or "TRON Legacy (End Titles)". For the accompaniment I only worked with the original patterns to preserve the musical atmosphere. The third part has a completely different musical character and is based on the track "Adagio for Tron".
Any suggestions for future arrangements? Please leave them in the comments.

The music was a huge factor in why I really enjoyed that movie.
agreed. probably my favorite movie with surround sound. the music just envelops the entire room masterfully. A lot of movies don't fully utilize surround sound as much as they could but this movie really goes for it.
It totally is, as is every great movie without great music the movie never breaks into true greatness
I really did not like the movie, but watched it 2x in succession, only to hear the soundtrack again lol
the music is still awe inspiring and some of the remixes i've found are equally impressive

Daft Punk was nominated for an award for their score for TRON: Legacy; it was "Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media", but they never won. Personally, I think they should have.
This soundtrack was groundbreaking and is just flat out amazing, if I had any faith in the Oscars I would be surprise but alas...

They were weeks away from starting principle photography and were organising VFX teams when Disney pulled the plug on it... damn them!
literally Disney has turned to such garbage that I don't know if they could handle a movie such as tron… probably why they pulled the plug on it

I worked on Tron Legacy as a designer years ago, and I love playing/listening to piano. Thank you for the beautiful arrangement, the perfect combination of two things I dearly love. (Edit one year later): wow. What the hell happened? Came back a year later to listen to this piece and noticed the likes. To this day, and after so many years and many projects, Tron is still my favorite. So happy to see that this project was a joy for many other people, not just the ones who worked on it. Helps making sense of our job, which at times can feel superficial. And thanks a lot to the musicians, who help us keep the emotions and memories fresh even many years later.

As a fan of TRON, I can say that I really appreciate meeting you here. It is one of my all-time favorite movies, an emotional tribute to a geek classic and the Internet.
In an age of Internet censorship, Article 13, and the downfall of Net Neutrality, Kevin Flynn's vision of the "freedom of information" seems farther away than ever. But if we keep up the good fight, we may just yet realize the dream of the perfect system, however far or close it may be.
I wish Disney saw the potential in the franchise instead of pulling the plug on TRON 3, but alas, they have become far too shallow in their endeavors, opting instead for remakes that don't work visually and ruining franchises left, right, and center. Perhaps it was better, then, that Disney pulled the plug, so that we can continue the story in our hearts and instead of being given a subpar sequel that would have tarnished the memory of TRON and TRON Legacy.
But I digress. Thank you for being part of one of my favorite movies, and I wish the best for your future endeavors.

Were the circuits like freeways? Not we're. We're is a contraction. It stands for We are. So your sentence without the contraction would read like: We are the circuits like freeways?

I remember seeing Tron: Legacy in theaters and thinking it was a well-done, but not spectacular sci-fi film. I wasn't too bothered by the music either. In fact I hadn't remembered any of it after leaving the theater.
I was given the soundtrack (due to my love of soundtracks) for my 18th birthday, and I was surprised as I rememered it was made by Daft Punk, who were basically unknown to me, as I listened mainly to classical music and whatnot.
So I humored my friend, listened to the whole soundtrack once through....
And again, and again...and again, and here we are, with me thinking the soundtrack to Tron: Legacy is criminally underrated
Check out Daft Punk's Random Access Memories album. Phenomenal and it won a Grammy. Daft Punk is seriously amazing at whatever they do.
Daft Punk is incredible at making music. I own all their albums, each one is completely different from the others. And the Legacy album is the only soundtrack I own on CD.
I haven't watched Tron in AGES but now I feel like going back to it, thank you for making this - I love that you mashed up all of the best themes, such as The Son of Flynn, The Grid/Overture, and Adagio for Tron, they sound so amazing together!

ZUL_RB26 R34 the term bio-digital jazz meant the mix of biological code in digital code! He was talking about the ISOs that were actual beings with a DNA, except in a digital world!

I don't think this is a coincidence...literally two days ago I was working on homework and I began to listen to the TRON legacy soundtrack. Then I looked into why they never made another movie and was disappointed. So I went back to listening to the main theme, not less than a day later...YOU come back with a surprise. A gift that was so perfectly timed and will be so cherished by me. Thank you. This is perfect, every key stroke.

I finally learned this entire piece today, I learned this entire song from you just off this video, TRON Legacy as a kid was my favourite film, so when I saw this as a pianist I couldn’t NOT learn it. Thank you so much. So happy I finally can play it all now!!!!! It took nearly 4 months of decently hard practice but this is so worth it, I’m working on TENET and the last samurai now!!!! Thanks so much. I was never really a fan of piano until I saw your channel. Learning off these videos is 1,000,000 X better because your learning it all just from memorie. Probably my favorite underrated movie of all time. This is one of those movies that you forget about due to all the bigger Marvel/DC movies and such going on, but once you rewatch it, you relive it and realize that it's better than the rest.
The flow and energy of this arrangement is just incredible. Don't know how many times I've watched this now. And of course I'm practising eagerly, I just love it.
I love how your arrangements always capture the little details in the original orchestral pieces.

The scene that I like the most in the movie is in the ending, when Quorra sees the Sun for the first time. I think that Olivia Wilde nailed the look of awe and marvel while they were on the road...that scene moves me every time...

One of the best soundtracks in my 50 years on this planet. Absolutely genius. I saw the original in 1982 and legacy was awesome. A feast for the eyes and ears! One of my favorite action scenes For my home theater . Tron forever!
