    These 6.7 powerstrokes are great engines. The early 11's-12' had some turbo and glow plug issues but the newer models are bulletproof and can handle a lot of abuse

    That tech that does Thoroughbred Diesel videos, he said that he doesn't do one injector. He said that if you replace one that you should replace all of them. Do you agree with that sir? Damn, if that's true then that's mighty expensive. Thank you for making these videos buddy. Thumbs up on this video. 👍👍👍

    How do you keep these fuel systems clean when you are working on these trucks? I have brake cleaned everything and used a shop vac to suck any loose dirt up around the whole area and I can still find tiny particles in the injector ports and stuff just from picking them up and pushing them in the holes. The rails I’m sure are getting tiny little particles in the ports, I can see like small carbon flakes down in the injector hole that you can’t even get to etc..do you even worry about small stuff getting in the system? I just imagine these fuel systems would be trashed if you got even a spec of dirt in the rails or injectors.

    Well it appears I broke one of those little plastic return lines. I was driving the truck and suddenly lost power and could hear an injector knock. I pulled over and the line had popped off the injector and was dumping diesel. Would that low pressure line cause the truck to barely move and make the injectors knock like that?

    • @PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod
      @PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod  3 роки тому

      Yesss. It didnt just break by itself. Either the injector hold down busted & the injector popped out causing the line to break.....OR u just found out you have some sort of contamination in the HP fuel system that blocked the line, caused excessive return pressure & boooooom blew off. Hopefully its not contaminated cuz u just costed urself $11k LARGE!!!!!

    Brack down on expressway towed to Ford today in IA. Got codes, P04DA, P0299, P0263, P0269, and P0673. I’m guessing couple of those are fuel injects and one is glow plug. 2011 F350 6.7 powerstroke. How much are fuel injectors each.

Should i just have them swap the injector without checking. As far as im aware we’ve found no evidence of contamination, metal or otherwise to suggest anything but a bad injector.
