- My Ford Focus RS finally got numberplates, wich means that the car is legal to drive on the roads. I've allready driven the RS a few times before making this video but now it's time to drive the car for the first time on camera :)

I'm finally back on yt after a few weeks. I had some problems with the police, my cars and camera all at the same time unfortunately 😅 It probably still takes a few weeks before my camera is fixed and than I'm able make more and better videos again. Thanks for the support 🙏💪

Aint it normally because exhaust valve gets stuck in one position. If you get new back back box or full exhaust I'm sure it'll fix it
or a valve delete for like 15 quid

100% a Ford dealer will sort your drive mode select problem. I’ve had my RS since new and that’s the only issue I’ve ever experienced. Enjoy the car, it’s a blast.
Your drive mode problem is the exhaust valve sticking had the same issue on mine before i sold it,ford did a pcm update on mine which apparantly would solve it but I'd already gone down the route of the valve delete unit you can buy,check the forums or youtube vids for it,it replaces the lead that activates the valve open/close so that the valve always stays open

I want this car so bad. 😂 I have a 2003 ford focus that is fun to drive down the autobahn and surprisingly has good handling given it's age, but I bet the focus MK3 has got to be a dream to drive for my style of driving.
It’s definitely one of the most fun hot hatches money can buy. It gotta be way different than a focus from 2003 I think 😂
@@R19Robbin It most definitely is! The top speed and horsepower the car can push out is no match for your focus, BUT taking turns, especially the sharp turns with a tighter Apex the car's handling is quite satisfactory come to find out. I am very interested to see the performance of the MK3 in terms of the overall handling.

Het probleem ontstaat als er wat meer warmte in de auto zit
I would lose drive modes when the exhaust valve got stuck so I got an exhaust valve delete. It keeps the valve open all the time but tells the cpu the valve is open or closed whenever needed.
Almost everyone is telling me that it's because of the valve. Probably gonna do something like that
Your problem is related with the flap exhaust valve. Ford released software update for that. Go to a Ford Garage and update the ECU. You will get free from errors on drive modes.

Try taking off sport suspension in track mode, if you can use drive modes like that its a front strut sensor.

Yo Robbin, de rijmodus veranderen kan worden verholpen m.b.v een software update. Ook het navigatie scherm kan je laten updaten bij Ford. (Of zelf doen met USB.)
Dit hebben wij ook gehad met de Focus en na de software updates deed alles het perfect. Net zoals computers, als hij geen updates heeft gehad gaat hij raar doen.
Hopelijk wordt dit snel verholpen.. :)

Kans is ook aanwezig dat een van de sensors hem tript bij hogere temperatuur en dat die er niet zo goed meer tegen kan, daar had je ook gelijk in. :)
Maar je hebt een hele mooie auto! Ding rijdt als een zonnetje en je kan hem de bochten door knallen daar zeg je u tegen..👌😉

I had mk3 es edition same color in UK with revo stage 2 440bhp full decat miltek exhaust. I do miss it

@R19Robbin it was fun. I could do a launch and all 4 wheels would spin on the spot. Was rapid. I had fiesta st performance edition stage 2 as well. I think that felt more fun though
Het kan meerdere redenen hebben wat betreft de driving mode. Check voor de gein eens of je uitlaatklep vast zit, dit kan ook de oorzaak zijn. in de linker uitlaatpijp zit die. Ik heb dezelfde auto, ook in het blauw :)
Ik had er laatst al een stok doorheen proberen te beuken, zonder resultaat helaas 😅

How is it going back to manual?
Comming from a dsg it is something to get used to because the clutch of the RS is quite heavy compared to other cars. But it’s so much fun on some back roads 🚀🚀
very interesting question. i am debating on buying a manual or automatic (zf8) bmw. for daily use i think automatic is nicer but i feel manual could be more fun.

Hope the Headgasket has been fixed! Lol, Good car, but put it up against an Audi Rs3 sportback, And unfortunately the Audi will be in a different country after a quarter mile! 🤣
Of course there are better cars than a Focus RS, like there are also better cars than a RS3. The RS3 is €10k more than a Focus RS.
