8 years ago, I used to walk 30 minutes to work in Seattle at 5:30am listening to this on repeat. Only the hotland theme would do it. Otherwise, I'd miss work and piss off my manager. Today, I own my own successful business and STILL listen to the hotland theme. Thank you Toby Fox

coming back a whole SIX YEARS LATER, this song is just full of emotions and nostalgia for most people… I never would have even found out what Undertale was if it wasn’t for my cousin, he introduced it to me. If it weren't for the girl I wish I dated I wouldn't have found this game and named it my number 1 on my list of favourite games, and about the girl I wish I dated, she asked me out a few weeks later after she showed me the game and because she had diabetes and everyone in the school made fun of her I said that I couldn't, because I was so worried about my population in the group of friends, honestly I regret denying her, because she was a real friend and I was a real friend to her still even after the many many times I denied her, I used to be her friend and hang out with her secretly, had been 6 years had passed by and I was in grade 8, I had to move to another school cuz parents were moving out to gold coast, because I had no phone or credit to contact her I was never able to find her again, though she still a good friend in my memories 😌

I am not joking. This comment is not satire. This is one of my favorite pieces of music in undertale by Toby fox by far. I don't listen to it all the time but whenever I am reminded that it exists my mind fills with some sort of feeling like happiness and nostalgia. This makes me rethink my life and remember the memories I've made. This was the perfect song to listen to a few minutes before the new Year. It's just too beautiful to be considered just a video game sound track. I know I will get bored of it soon, so I try not to listen to it at all, but everytime I rediscover it, makes my brain restart in a way that can't be described.
I JUST GOT WHY IT'S CALLED "Another Medium"! In homestuck, there's a place called "the medium". in it, there's a part called "the land of heat and clockwork". what else is a land of heat and clockwork? Hotland. Hence it's theme being named "Another Medium". My god.
The year Undertale came out was when my depression was at its worst. This song was one of the few things that made me feel alive and I'm grateful for that

I think it's more that Waterfall and CORE has Another Medium in it than the other way around. AM was composed first, and was made from an unused demo of Toby's that I think was meant to be used for Homestuck at some point (if i'm not mistaken)
I listened to the song in 2016, and forgot the name of it after about a month, yet til this day I couldn't get the melody out of my head. I tried to search for it so hard, yet to no avail. But finally after a month of searching, I found it! I'm so happy!

I'm in the middle of reading homestuck rn, and its giving me this new appreciation for undertale in a weird way. I have no idea what it is. Maybe it's that reading homestuck has been the closest feeling i've had to my Undertale hyperfixation since, well, my Undertale hyperfixation. Also, it made me gain new interest in this track in the game, and it's lowkey one of my favorites in the entire soundtrack now ngl.

Started playing undertale maybe 2-3 days ago, I’m at the castle, on pacifist, I already know what happens since I first discovered it as a shortsighted kid that didn’t see any way in hell that I’d have a computer now. But lemme say, even knowing exactly what’s going to happen, playing this game for the first time is just absolutely magical. When the little “ooooh” part kicks in the background of this song… dang. This game’s soundtrack goes up there with Halo, Deus Ex 1, Mechwarrior 2 + mercs, Minecraft, Terraria… it’s up there, I’ll say. I mean considering Toby only had recently taken up piano around the time of this game starting, (if I didn’t mishear that vid) Mans nailed it. Maybe I’m wrong abt that, but sheeze… this is what happens when you grit your way through game development. Yeah, this game has an absolutely killer soundtrack. I want to compare it to the OSTs of other AAA titles I've played, but that just wouldn't do it justice. It's its own unique thing, made by a master of composition on both crack and LSD at the same time. At least, that's the only explanation I have for how stellar it sounds. If it weren't for the girl I wish I dated I wouldn't have found this game and named it my number 1 on my list of favourite games, and about the girl I wish I dated, she asked me out a few weeks later after she showed me the game and because she had diabetes and everyone in the school made fun of her I said that I couldn't, because I was so worried about my population in the group of friends, honestly I regret denying her, because she was a real friend and I was a real friend to her still even after the many many times I denied her, I used to be her friend and hang out with her secretly, had been 6 years had passed by and I was in grade 8, I had to move to another school cuz parents were moving out to gold coast, because I had no phone or credit to contact her I was never able to find her again, though she still a good friend in my memories 😌
If there's ever an Undertale movie, this should play in the credits.

I am not joking. This comment is not satire. This is one of my favorite pieces of music in undertale by Toby fox by far. I don't listen to it all the time but whenever I am reminded that it exists my mind fills with some sort of feeling like happiness and nostalgia. This makes me rethink my life and remember the memories I've made. This was the perfect song to listen to a few minutes before the new Year. It's just too beautiful to be considered just a video game sound track. I know I will get bored of it soon, so I try not to listen to it at all, but everytime I rediscover it, makes my brain restart in a way that can't be described.

I'm in the middle of reading homestuck rn, and its giving me this new appreciation for undertale in a weird way. I have no idea what it is. Maybe it's that reading homestuck has been the closest feeling i've had to my Undertale hyperfixation since, well, my Undertale hyperfixation.
Also, it made me gain new interest in this track in the game, and it's lowkey one of my favorites in the entire soundtrack now ngl.

Started playing undertale maybe 2-3 days ago, I’m at the castle, on pacifist, I already know what happens since I first discovered it as a shortsighted kid that didn’t see any way in hell that I’d have a computer now.
But lemme say, even knowing exactly what’s going to happen, playing this game for the first time is just absolutely magical.
When the little “ooooh” part kicks in the background of this song… dang. This game’s soundtrack goes up there with Halo, Deus Ex 1, Mechwarrior 2 + mercs, Minecraft, Terraria… it’s up there, I’ll say.
I mean considering Toby only had recently taken up piano around the time of this game starting, (if I didn’t mishear that vid) Mans nailed it. Maybe I’m wrong abt that, but sheeze… this is what happens when you grit your way through game development.

Yeah, this game has an absolutely killer soundtrack. I want to compare it to the OSTs of other AAA titles I've played, but that just wouldn't do it justice. It's its own unique thing, made by a master of composition on both crack and LSD at the same time. At least, that's the only explanation I have for how stellar it sounds.
