I've tried all 3 of these. I spent about 18 months trying different golf balls. For me the wilson staff triad are the best value for money. They launch well, feel good on short game shots and are long off the driver. They last well too.

Currently using the Wilson Triad after switching from the Bridgestone e12 contact. Super soft feel and get great distance and the feel off the putter is superb. Only negative is the line up on the ball is a little too short. I love the look of the triple track and will give these balls a try after I use up my triads. Thanks for the review!!. CHEERS!!

Alex, what you said about the golfballs will not cause me to change the golf ball that I play because I already am using the Callaway Triple Track ERC Yellow golf ball. A few months ago, I was using the Callaway Supersoft but changed to the ERC Triple Track, and I love the way the ball sounds and feels coming off of the club face for both my irons and woods and how it perfirms on the greens. Plus, the Triple Track alignment aid serves me well both on the tee and on the green. It's great to hear that I am using a ball that you highly endorse. My current GHIN is 20.3. :-)

I'm currently playing with a WHS of 15.4. I use Vice Tour. If you buy now you get 6 dozen for the price of 5 which works out at £16.65 per dozen. Even if you only buy 3 dozen the price is £20.99 per dozen. I think it's a really great ball that suits my game. Been using Wilson Triads. Did break par for the first time on 9 holes last year. 34 on par 35.

I’m a 15.8 handicap player(was as low as 9.8) with a 105-108mph driver speed and as I naturally launch the ball to high with heaps of spin I needed a low launch/low spin ball and I’ve used the titleist AVX and scored my 1st ever eagle with it from 128 metres out(140 yards) and I love that ball, but as it’s a mid compression ball I wanted to try something a bit firmer I stumbled across the Bridgestone tour B X and I’ve found a gem of a ball, can hold greens and get great distance and it goes great in the wind,1st time I used it,it was blowing 21kph winds and I hit 10/14 fairways so I’ll be using that ball for a while in competition but for practice I’ll use the AVX

Funny you should say that about the Srixon soft feel. I'm just getting back into golf after a few years off due to an injury. I hadn't purchased any golf balls in years. I went to the local store and picked up a dozen of these mainly due to their low cost and coming from Srixon. When Srixon came out some years back and were new to the market, I grabbed a dozen of theirs, not sure of the ball model though and were impressed. Anyway, I find I am hitting them fairly well from the tee and approach are fine but what I'm finding is when I'm chipping. They seem to bounce off the club well and are running faster than I expect so am going by the pin an extra couple of feet from what I've done in the past. I still have a couple sleeves left so will use them up but think I'll be trying the Wilson Duo Soft. I can't see myself spending more than $30 a dozen for the amount of time I can actually get in a round.

Now I’m retired and the membership was just too much money for monthly dues and the every other year “assessment” (~$5K). I still have dozens of Titleist golf balls I found on that course. Anyway, I was pleased to see the ERC Soft the list. I’m not going to change until Callaway stops making them. Dave Pelz, short game and putting guy says play the same ball ALL THE TIME. Different balls do go different distances. Amateurs play different balls all the time and wonder why they are inconsistent. Duh!

The ERC soft is so long off the tee and low spin off the low irons, it goes miles. The Q star tour goes a bit shorter but plays great, I love the orange/Yellow divide personally. The Soft feel to me is the best feeling ball around because of the soft interaction with the clubs and putter but it doesn't spin at all on wedge shots and it's well shorter for me as someone with a 108 SS with the driver. The Kirkland for me at least is way too spinny with the irons, kind of balloons up and loses distance. My friend who swings a little slower loved them when I gave him a sleeve last year.
My personal favorite is the Titleist AVX. If you like a softer feel ball but want basically the same distance as a harder compression ball, this is the one to play. Buy them 4A/5A on EBAY for half the price of new and call it a day. Love the channels, keep up the great work.

18 handicap. I play a couple rounds a week year around. If I'm honest, I play lost balls I find most of the time. The longest ball I have hit is a Titleist AVX. Found it in the creek and waited a couple holes before using it. Dramatic increase in distance. Lower flight, even with chips (which is my preference). I've played the same ball for two full rounds and my partners have noticed the distance difference as well. I'd never purchase one though. They cost nearly $5 a ball! The course I play has a lot of water, so I never get too attached to any one brand.

Handicap index 9.4. I play whatever I find out of our lakes at my club. I don’t care for some cheap balls (topflite, pinnicle, ultra…). But I just don’t notice the differences enough to notice. But I do fish out ton of Pro Vs and other top brand golf balls out of our lakes. I suspect most are buying balls their game doesn’t measure up to.

Use what I find, but only if it's a top or mid-tier ball. If I were buying a pack of balls today would probably be Vice Pro (2x dozen for discount) or Srixon Z Star (buying 2 dozen also gets a discount) or Q Star Tour

I play Vice Pro and/or Snell MTB. Both are great golf balls and offer real value and quality performance. I am a 12 index.

I use both q star your and to a less degree the Calloway chrome soft. I like the srixion as lower priced than the chrome soft BUT my priority is enough spin to stop on the greens. Chrome soft has a little less spin than prov1, and the q star tour a little less than the chrome soft. Bottom line is more run out for both than prov1 but I much prefer the lower compression and softer feel given my slower swing speed as a senior golfer. I just cannot properly compress the prov1.

I am playing to a 6.3 hcp. I have been playing Srixon Z-Star and Bridgestone e12 balls for the last 6 months. I love the Callaway ERC on "warmish" days but found it too sluggish on cold days. For some reason I cannot hit Titleist golf balls for 💩 I have been finding lost Kirkland golf balls left and right (no pun intended) over the last year.

Love the Srixon Q Star Tour and have been using it for years. Also used the Callaway ERC Soft and I give it a “meh” as it’s not very durable.

Moved from TaylorMade Soft Response to Callaway Supersoft recently, purchased mainly due to being on offer. Callaway superior in my opinion, nicer feel of driver, irons, wedges and putter and give me more control around the green. Welk it seems that way at least.
Looking at playing zstar later in the year as talking it over with my coach he reckons they could benefit me and my developing game. Tried a few in lessons and they feel better than the Callaways I currently play.
No handicap yet, but my coach reckons mid-handicapper from what he sees in lessons and my Trackman data and Combine Tests.

QST is a great golf ball. If one has yet to try it then just do it. IMO the best ball at that price point. I also like the Vice Pro as well. If you want to stretch and buy 5 doz the Vice Pro get real close to the K Sig in price too. 😊
As for the ERC. I think the TM Tour Response is a much better ball at $39.99. 😮
I am playing off a 12 hcp and i play Vice Pro & Q Star Tour.

I've been playing the Chrome Soft for years. I found a Callaway Super Hot in some tall grass and decided I'd try out "the funny orange ball." Honestly, best ball for me that I've ever hit. I'm getting better distance and accuracy off the tee and have had no short game issues. I haven't tried the ERC. I'll have to try it out, but still haven't been able to lose the Super Hot I found.

Srixon Distance. I’m not that good or play that often to distinguish between good/bad balls. What would you recommend for 20 handicap? I play about 15/20 rounds a year

I use whatever ball i feel like that's in good shape. I generally play a ball from cut golf, and oftentimes the red. All golf balls are going to give you low spin off the driver, it's greenside where the urethane ones spin more.
