My poor Scan N Cut doesn’t get out of the box much. I bought him several years ago from HSN and the only time I used it was when my teenage boys at the time helped me through it. I felt so stupid! My youngest did take it to college with him and he used it there! Thank you, thank you for showing me just how easy it is to cut out all that Mintay paper I bought! Even though I enjoy fussy cutting I have the courage to attempt that demon in the box again! 🙂
You're so honest and positive! Thank you for being both of these things. I purchased this machine at the beginning of the pandemic and even after doing quite a bit of research, I've been too scared to use it! Silly, I know. Today is the day I will play...even if I fail or I damage the cutting mat, I'm going to plug this sucker in and get started! Thank you for sharing valuable information about this machine. 😊 ❤️💯
Hi Maymay, I know this is an older video, and you may not see this. But ,I have to tell you. This is the best instruction I have seen for Scan n cut. I have had my machine for years and have never been able to understand this part. You have just saved me.... So, Thank you so much for taking the time ,even if I am late to the party. Nan
Are you kidding?! I have been struggling with this issue for a year! I could not even figure out how to describe the problem, and not one video (DX) I watched showed this problem, never mind solution. This is so much bigger than the title suggests - it’s more like “scan n cut settings for detailed images” - then more frustrated SNC people would find it! Thank you 🙏🏻
Thank you for this. I have a cricut and a scan and cut but you helped me with some of the problems that I have been having with my scan and cut. Thanks for the clear cut directions. I appreciate it!
I'd be happy with that cut, too! Better than having to cut out every single item!! After making a christmas card, and cutting out All of the teeny dachsunds, kittens, candles with greens, lanterns, and stockings, that is when my year long back and forth about getting one ended. ☺️ Then my hubby just sat quietly beside me and ordered it. That was 25 months ago. And I'm glad I have one, now!
Great tutorial! Although I have one, I found several helpful hints in this video. Thanks, Maymay! Wanted, but did not need, another necklace, so took the whole price of it and donated to C4K. That made me feel good...
Saw your video. Ordered my scan n cut. Came this morning. And your instructions were the best. Thank you. A new page of stamps cut out. Can’t wait to do more. More videos would be appreciated.
Thanks Maymay, I’ve had my scan and cut for years in the box because I couldn’t fathom how to use it, watching you I’ve got it on the side now and my stamped images come out a treat. No more fussy cutting and dies to match, cheaper in the long run. Missed Vinnie the other day hope he’s well rested!! Shannon you done ok Hun xx:-)
THANK YOU, MAYMAY. THIS IS MY FIRST TIME TRYING THIS MACINE, YOU MADE IT EASIER FOR ME, SO I DON’T HAVE TO READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS. I AM A BOT WORRIED THAT I WILL CUT THE MAT.
That was really helpful!!! I’ve heard people talk about this machine but never saw it til now. I’m a big stamping gal so I need one of these! Thanks soo much for sharing!!! ✌🏻💖🙏🏻
I have wanted a SnC for a long time. First, IDK which one to shop for and second, IDK if I'm smart enough to figure it out. You make it seem possible. Thank you.
I basically use my scan n cut for cutting stamped images. One of these days I’ll start using it for all the other functions available. Regardless, it’s been worth the money. Love it!
I have a scan n cut too. I never tried adding more colors! After 3 years still learning! I've cut fabric, embossed, made stencils and a few other things. But the scan function always makes me happy, lol
I have the exact same SNC. I love it, so easy to learn. Canvas Workspace software to use with the machine is equally great. Thanks for sharing this technique. I use it frequently.
Thanks for showing us how the Brother Scan & Cut works. Someone gave me one about a year ago without the mat and no instruction book and I had no idea what I had. I ended up taking it to Goodwill, which I now somewhat regret. Maybe I'll buy one for myself sometime this year or for next Christmas now that I know how it works and what it can do.
Thank you! I really need a new electronic machine (I have the “original” Cricut), but there are too many choices! I go back and forth between the Brother and the Maker. It’s nice to see one in action with a true idea of how things work instead of just showing pure perfection!
That is amazing! I've never seen this machine but saw you use these images on the album you made of your granddaughters. Thanks for making this videos to show the machine
Thank you for showing this to us:) I have been on the fence on buying one but when I look at what I pay in dies I could buy this machine and it would pay for it self in no time:) Can you show how you re glue the mat? Thank you very much:) Have a blessed weekend:)
Just the newer one is even better than the older one like you have MayMay. I love my brother scan N cuts notice I had a s on the end. That’s because I have 3. I love them. I also have 3 older cricuts as well but for me the scan n cut is best.
I have the newer one too, I have videos coming with it. I actually have an unboxing of it on the channel from when I first got it. But... I still only use it for fussy cutting.
I’m still fairly new (and young) to crafting and i was thinking about going to the next level and buying a machine like the cricut or something like this. What do you recommend for a beginner?
Maymay has a video from either last week or the week before discussing what one would need to think about in order to make a decision as ro which machine to purchase. It's a great video!
Thank you for this video. I have been wondering (dreaming) of purchasing one, this was very helpful! How did you get that purple tape to stick? I bought that e act tape and it won’t stick to ANYTHING!! 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
May May. Please help. I also have this machine but...it’s brand new. I have it out of the box and sitting there. I’m scared to death of the blade depth and pressure. I’m concerned (horrified) (lol) of cutting my mat. There has to be a way to conquer this (my) issue and I know you are certainly the right person to help. Is there any hope for me? Please show me that there is. I know you are busy so I am willing to pay for lessons.
Just get some paper or cardstock on it and start at half, I always cut at 6 to 8. You will be find, it is rare to cut through the mat. Don't be afraid, honestly I hardly look at the blade setting unless I am using very thick material, other wise I keep it on 6.
I love my scan n cut.

I have this model and its been in the box untouched for years!!! I'm gonna open that box as well as my cricut makers Thanks Maymay

I’m so glad I watched this video, I did not know to punch up the numbers for more color😊
thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Hmmm...now I'm thinking that a scan n cut would be a great purchase! Thanks, Maymay!
My husband gave me this Scan n Cut 3 yrs ago for Christmas but just don't know how to use it. Love this video. Thank you Maymay.
Yep can always learn more about it! Thank you Maymay!
Saw your video. Ordered my scan n cut. Came this morning. And your instructions were the best. Thank you. A new page of stamps cut out. Can’t wait to do more. More videos would be appreciated.
I am a newer Scan n cut user. Thanks for the tips and demonstration! Cute paper too!
OMG never knew abt the colors, that will save me so much frustration

Thank you for another great video... it’s so helpful... you are such a great teacher..
Same reason I love mine. Especially useful when making multiples. Faster than die cutting.. Thanks Maymay. Hugs and blessings.
I saved $50 with your code discount on my cricut purchase 🥰 thank you for sharing it!!
THANK YOU, MAYMAY. THIS IS MY FIRST TIME TRYING THIS MACINE, YOU MADE IT EASIER FOR ME, SO I DON’T HAVE TO READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS. I AM A BOT WORRIED THAT I WILL CUT THE MAT.
Thank you I've had it for a while was to afraid to use it, knowledge from may may is my key thank you again, I'll practice now.
That was really helpful!!! I’ve heard people talk about this machine but never saw it til now. I’m a big stamping gal so I need one of these! Thanks soo much for sharing!!! ✌🏻💖🙏🏻
I have the CM350 also. LOVE it for cutting out designer paper. I did 60 tiny baubles in minutes. Such a hand saver and time too.
Thanks so much for sharing with us! You’re a gem!
Again, you make it simple and your encouraging tone really adds to a person's thought of "I got this ".
Just purchased the scan n cut DX 125E... excited to get the time to unbox and play with the Mintay books I have 🙂
I have wanted a SnC for a long time. First, IDK which one to shop for and second, IDK if I'm smart enough to figure it out. You make it seem possible. Thank you.
Thank you for making this a "teaching and learning" video. Hadn't ever changed the scan colors number before -- so good to know about that.
Thank you MayMay. This is awesome!!
I don’t have one but I just enjoy watching all of your videos! 😂 You are so good at explaining things! Thanks Maymay!
You are a great teacher. I love my scan n cut, too.
Thank you for sharing

I bought this exact SnC based on Maymay's reccomendation a couple of yrs ago. I don't regret spending the money. I love it & use it a lot.
Love the video! It makes me want to go use mine right now. Just need to do a little decluttering :-) thank you for sharing.
You are an amazing instructor!!!
Love my scan n cut, I have this model too!

This machine has been on my wish list for a very long time! Now when I do make that purchase, I'll better know how to use it. Thank you!

Great educational video!
Just placed my Kendra Scott order and yes, I also ordered the "club necklace"...lol
I would not trade my scan n cut for any other machine!
I have same machine.. I should try it
Great tips!
I have this model and love it I just never figured the SVG file thing....maybe sometime...
What did you have your blade set to?
Perfecto!!
Yea! I learned something new. I have this cm350. Do you have a video tutorial on how to use design space with snc 350 ? I can’t figure it out.
Hi, are you asking about the software that is used for the Scan n Cut?
Yes, I don’t know how to design using my computer to add an svg
You can search for Brother Scan n Cut videos and their product expert has several videos on how to do that software, thanks
I bought one last June, haven’t even turned it on yet! Lol
I’m still fairly new (and young) to crafting and i was thinking about going to the next level and buying a machine like the cricut or something like this. What do you recommend for a beginner?

when i set my blade at 5 or 4, the dial is moved to a lower setting whenever the job is finished. Is there a way to keep it locked into place?
A scan and cut has been on my wish list for a while now! Is the 350 a good model to use?
Does the Cricut Air 2, scan and cut images like the Scan and Cut?
Hello, no the Cricut cannot scan images, if you have a SVG/cut file the Cricut can cut those, thanks
I keep trying to use mine and I cannot get it to work properly. I have tried for years, and I’m beginning to believe it’s not the machine; it’s ME.
Oh, do look at some UA-cam videos! It's so fun! I believe Maymay has a few videos on using it.
I have real trouble getting the right cutting depth.
No stamp club reveal today?
