If after using ignore object size, all your letters didn’t disappear you can select the parts with your stylus and trash them, so that images you do want like the star will stay on 5e screen ready to cut
I am interested in seeing how you separate the images. Please put together a video for us about that. I recently purchased the Scan N Cut DX, and am very happy with it so far, but I know I do not yet know all of it's features. Thank you for your videos
Thanks for sharing Rosa....although I know how to do it, since I haven't used my Scan and Cut for a while, it is nice to have a refresher. Also because of technology and how rapid it changes, I wish the the creators of all printable digital images would take that into consideration when drawing their designs and make it so that all portions of each design could be cut on these type of machines without making it a challenge for the user to figure it out. Also leaving space for all images to be clearly cut. It might help with sales as well as help those who are technically challenged. And a tip for you, Aleene's makes a product called Tack It Over and Over that works great and is not as sticky after application. TFS gina
Use a baby wipe to clean your mat, works for me all the time. Once the stickiness wears out, I'll buy the sticky stuff. Thank you Rose, because you go into details. Brother is a great machine. I use mine for felt.
Hi x On your 2nd one x I learnt from someone else to draw a pencil line so you can rub it out, eg: the oblong paper, then it cuts without going into the design 👍👍
I recently got a Scan n Cut and have been “devouring” videos on how to use it and the various techniques. Regarding the lighter areas in some of your images, I’m wondering if the technique I saw for closing in open areas might help here as well. With a regular HB pencil draw around that particular area so the machine will pick them up. Then use an acrylic eraser (not the red rubber eraser on the end of the pencil) to remove the pencil marks. I tried it yesterday with a stamped image where there were a lot of areas that the machine would have probably shredded the image and it worked like a charm. 👍
Great tutorial. I have had my new machine for about 3 months and still haven't had time to really play with it. I have a lot of the Winnie digitals and this would have been a lifesaver when I made Christmas cards and had to fussy cut all those items out. Would love to see what you do to separate your images.
Thank you Rosa for a GREAT tutorial! Thinking about getting a Brother Scan N Cut machine. Appreciate all you do and share with us! Happy Day to you! TFS
Enjoyed your video. Tombow is rather strong for using to re stick your mat. Have you tried Zig glue? The glue pen with the broad tip. It's much better than Tombow. Also instead of doing ignore object size it would have been easier just to bring everything onto your mat then delete the bits you didn't want to cut.
Great tutorial! Makes me want to take it out and dust it off 😂😂. This machine intimidates me 🙄 I end up just using my Cricut. I’m gonna give it a try again. Thanks for sharing 🤗
To have the machine scan so it will cut images properly so your envelope or that large piece on the upper right corner that was pink and white cut properly, all you need to do is to add pencil marks. The stem for the leaves would have cut out as well if they had pencil markings around them. You may have to test to see how lightly you can draw around the images and still have the machine pick it up. When done cutting erase the pencil marks. Of course you will want to use a quality eraser for that.
I have just learnt another tip about adjusting the colour, I hate fussy cutting, doesn’t help having arthritis in my hands, hip! hip! for scan n cut...
Thank you Rosa. I will have to try again. My machine only recognizes the banner and the christmas wreath. The rest of the images it only recognize parts of it even if i try to up the color. Thanks again, have a great day.😙
Can you do a video on drawing a line -box etc around a scanned in saying ? I’m about to put my hair out. I can email you the sheet of saying i want to cut around . I have a brothers cm 350
I found that after using the cutting mat a lot it used to not hold the card stock. So what do you use to make your mat sticky again without it sticking to the back of the paper
I have been using tombow liquid glue, I apply a thin layer of adhesive, let it get tacky and then you can start using it. I've also used Aileens tack it over and over.
This cutting machine is not a printer it will scan the piece of paper you place on the cutting mat and then it can cut any shape you like that's it. The printer I use is an HP Envy and I'm in an ink program, it's a monthly subscription and before I run out of ink I get it delivered to my house.
@@RosasCreativeWay ok i understand thank you. I am planning on upgrading my cricut and then thought of buying that byt now I'm torn lol so i may just save for the brother since i have for the cricut already:) then i get both😄
Hi Theresa, I will be doing a video on how to separate the images. I’ve has a lot of people ask me the same question so it easier for me to show you than to write how to. You will need to have the silhouette program installed in your computer, you DO NOT need to own the silhouette cutting machine to do this. The silhouette program is free for everyone.
@@RosasCreativeWay Thank you so much Rosa, I have the program already. Just not sure how to put them into the silhouette library like you have yours. Can't wait to see the video....
Thank you for the video! I just bought a Scan n Cut to fussy cut images that I have already printed out, and I learned how to do it from this video!

Thank you so much, I didnt know I can deleted, I'm still learning and I've had this machine for a few years now
Would love to see more tutorials on separating images or putting them together for one image on a card.

Do you have to restick it every time you clean it?

Why didn’t you take a pen and make a line across the edge of that light pink area to scope the cut going into the image

Oh no, I’m sorry. I really don’t know why this could have happened.
@@RosasCreativeWay I will just separate them just like you do. thanks.😘
Great tutorial Rosa!!!
Did you just spread the Tombow glue all over your mat to make it sticky again? How long did it take to dry?
Joanne Salamat yes I used my finger to spread the glue, very thin coat. I waited about 5 minutes.
Awesome tutorial thanks for sharing hugs ❤
