This was great! thanks Pete, I love rig Rundowns and it is neat seeing what gear you are using. I have emailed Ernie Ball and complained about you not being on their Legendary Players List and hence being on every string package. I hope other guitar nerds read this and take it upon themselves to request you be added, because it is an injustice we need to remedy..I will not names but you are hella more deserving than a lot of guitar players that are already on the list. I will not rest , I say!!
@@PeteThorn YES PETE! Todd Roy is Right Brother and if I can I will Back Todd Up, Your not just a awesome Guitar player your a great person and you R a Gifted person and that qualifies 4 more than most can be
@@Ryan-Hall Thank you friend! I went to Ernie Ball's website and clicked on the contact us link and told them what I thought! I wish a lot of geetar nerds would do that...oh and guess what? I got a new Epiphone Inspired by Gibson LEs Paul Junior today...chunky neck and it feels great!!
Pete there is so much gear talk and lessons on YT but there is never any venue behind the scenes stuff - I mean showcasing all the different halls and stage setups and how each venue appears from your perspective so stuff like this is really gold. Appreciate what you’re doing. Thanks!
I've met Randy Cook when he played wit Phil X on the DD tour in Manchester in 2013.Just came up to me and struck up a conversation at the sound board as I had met Phil 2 nights before.Amazing drummer and a total gentleman.Great to see him !
This is so awesome Pete!! Thank you so much for being such a down to earth and humble guy and guitarist!! Thank you so much!! Quad Cortex rig looks awesome!!
Thanks so much PETE, but U need rest Brother don't overdo we need U around brother!! Just U looked so worn out at beginning of the video 👍🙀😎🙏 Have A Great Time And Brian May Would be Having a Chill Going 2 his Brain!! TY 4 bringing us along 4 the Ride!!
I love the drummer who was playing Steve Gadds drum part for 50 ways to leave your lover. I dig the rig, once you’re in the mix your average person can’t tell… unless you’re a gear snob like us!!
well, I was looking at videos of American Airlines current seating config and here you are wedged on the side bar. a great unexpected treat, hope you all had a great tour. 🙂
Hey Pete, Nice to see you. Thanx for filling the planet with cool and beautiful waves of sound. Not to mention an inspiring dose of guitar toy wisdom. Always a pleasure indeed.
I really appreciate the simplicity of your touring rig. It really doesn't take much gear to sound good. I get tired of seeing so many touring guitarists using these massively complex rigs but not sounding any better then guys like you with much simpler rigs.
Great post from a modern working musician! Loved the run down of each venue and the discussion of needing a flexible rig for traditional tour and fly dates!
I absolutely love and respect guitar players that know the gear they are using. Way to go Pete, keep the great content coming..!! All the best from Calgary, AB, Canada
Pete is such a rad dude, but at heart he’s just a regular guitar nerd like the rest of us. Glad he’s out there having fun and doing what he loves best. Loving those Top Hat AC30 tones…ive always been a fan of those amps. Sounds absolutely fantastic Pete!!!!
Cool backdrop. I am a steel worker from East Germany. The blast furnaces remind me of our pig iron works. Greetings from Eisenhüttenstadt (Iron Hut City).🖖👷♂
Great rundown! Wanted to add, if that's a Taylor from the last few years, the transducer is actually mounted to the BACK of the saddle, not under. There are little Allen adjustments on the bridge which change the pressure to equalize the volume.
I can take a look at that, it’s an LR Baggs though, not the typical Taylor system. I’m gonna take a look at it tomorrow because I would like to start using it, it plays great
@@PeteThorn Ah I missed it had an LR Baggs pickup then. More than likely the bottom of the saddle isn't perfectly flat and making solid contact with the transducer. Easy fix for a good tech!
Pete !! Say hi to Randy ! I played with him on his Drum fest Yamaha gig in Quebec City in 2019. He gave us a hell of a ride ! We had to keep the “one” down cause he just fly over !! Amazing talent! You and him together must be mind blowing!!
Hey Pete I use the quad cortex with a bluguitar amp 1. It’s incredible. I have a captor x too on my board so I have the amp speaker interaction. It enables me to go direct and have twin tracking and studio effects etc and I can go into an amp. Or both.
Excellent content and production! Thank you so much for doing a rig rundown and then actually playing the rig. I love being able to hear it in real time. It’s frustrating when Premier Guitar does a rig rundown does it last 45 minutes and you don’t ever hear one single sample of the actual tone.
Thank for sharing Pete, the wolfpack and I Like you just the way you are. Mellow dude and a Great guitarist. My brothers and I been checking your videos out for years now finely subscribe. About time I think... God Bless Randy, Great North Woods Michigan
That acoustic you're having issue with 2 strings being lower volume than the others happened to me. All it was, dust / debris. Made like plug for the light strings and choked out the volume. I took a toothpick to pull stuff out and then a can of compressed air got the rest. The volume was back after that. Just a free check instead of taking it apart for the bridge work.
thanks for everything you post Pete, we love you for it.. we all know it might be a pain in the ass to do, and at times you can't be bothered,, but you do it, and you make us all, not only happy but better informed. you are a true champion of the digital age of guitarists! .. i mean that 100% .. huge respect
Ashamed to admit that I had never heard of Pete before. What a player! Great demo of his guitars/rig together with an explanation of how he gets his sound. Will be playing a lot of his music in the future. Anyone know the name of the song he is playing around 12:01? Recently I've lost some inspiration when it comes to guitar playing, but Pete has brought that all back with a bang with his fantastic tones and textures 😀 Thank you Pete!
I still watch this video regularly as I find it so inspiring. Particularly like Pete's reverb/delay sound. Anyone any ideas about the name of that song?
Thanks Pete, just added the Neural to my floorboard and it was great to see how you use it. If I was over there I’d be at the shows for sure!! Rock on 🤘

Awesome "Live" tones as usual Pete... appreciate the behind-the-scenes pre-show look at your setup. Cheers Bro

I really enjoyed your concert in Albany Oregon. Small venue, up close and personal. Best concert of my summer! Thanks.
Easily No. 1 in the 'guitar-geek' zone. So impressive. We all learn so much from Pete.
This was super cool, love your sig guitar and of course big fan of your playing
Pete..you come across as such a down to earth level headed guy (with guitar chops to boot)..love your channel!
Pete, have you loaded your Quad Presets into the Cortex cloud for us? Would love these!
The guitar has such a haunting and beautiful tone!
Love the entire video and particularly the moment you play the solo of "Bohemian Rhapsody" and when the bass player joins you on the fly...

Never watched a rig rundown before, this was great Pete, that Washburn has some fantastic history…
Oh yeah... the 65 Treble Boost tone... that sounds brilliant
Thanks so very much Mr Pete, you are so generous. And really glad real people, in a real venue, are getting to hear the real you. Love your sound.
Thanks for taking us along for the before the show tour.
Awesome! What nice looking venues. Seriously, two of the coolest venues I've ever seen. Great tones as well!
Great stuff, thank you! I like the multiple venue shots.
Thanks for the sneak peek Pete and I hope that you have a great rest of the tour.✌🏻
The treble boost on the Queen song sounds absolutely perfect! Thank you for the walk through sir!
