I almost started crying because you taught me how to do this so well lol! I was horrified at the overwhelming task of making armor, but this looks so doable now! Thank you SO MUCH!!!!
Whitli Doke I agreeee, I had no idea how to start but this is super helpful!
For shizz! Same.
i wonder what's the update
I felt this comment in my heart. I'm so hyped to start my journey
.....
Seriously, you're like the Bob Ross of cosplay. I could just sit here all day and watch you make stuff.
Totally agreed, just that she is quite much pretty ...😁😁😁

I feel like Kamui is psychic because every time I remotely have a question about cosplay, bam ... new video
Psychic is from satin. Do you still feel like that's what she is? If you know anything about the Lord, then you know God's word is Holy and True.
It's in your scriptures. Read it.
@@theresafasolo4813 Ever heard of "Figure of Speech"? Chill a little bit, you're making the rest of us Christians look bad.

I'm a beginner cosplayer and your tutorials are so helpful! I would never have thought of using plastic wrap to make templates, thank you so much for making these!
Ooohhhh the zipper is great solution for armor pieces like this one. Great work as always! :D
I don’t have a zipper to add on and I’m on a deadline for a Halloween costume, how would I work around this
@@gemeye1456 hmm... Velcro Tape?
Idk why this was in my recommended I don't know who she is but I love her energy and interesting ways of doing things. And her voice. Love the accent.
I just want to let you know I come back to this every year and always share this with friends who are just getting into cosplay. Please please never remove this video! It’s the absolute best reference on the internet 🎉
This was Really helpful! My wife and have more background in the sewing side of cosplay so but I have a young son that is just starting to get into prop and armor making and this looks great a project we could do with an 11 year old to help further help him develop his skills. Thank you for the tutorials!
I am actually surprised with how well you compressed the information without compromising the techniques you showed. The video seems really comprehensive, and I'm impressed af.
I think you forgot something very important to mention....
Buy her Booooks!!!!!
No im Serious buy them. They are great, short, very informative and a great way to support you favorite artist.

@@KamuiCosplay I was making a joke lmao, it's pretty interesting to see different views on supplies -
Well it depends on where you live, here floormats are a great source of foam if you don't have a hobby store near you, but somewhere else floor mats may be a terrible choice, context is key. In conclusion, yes, sad odin noises
I bought a whole bunch of them and now I’m stuck using it. No complaints, but shaping is going to be more time consuming. Hopefully painting it won’t be horrible
@@loganh4642 what makes shaping floor mats take longer? Is it just the thickness?
This is an amazing video. This will be my first time using Eva foam. She explained everything so perfectly and now I have a little bit more understanding how to do it.
The energy and speed are perfect for keeping my attention. Most people are too slow!
Hey hey! Thank you so much for making this video and all the others! I’ve only begun cosplaying in the last couple months, and thanks to your videos, I am almost complete with my first Ezra Scarlet armor. I’m so proud, and couldn’t have been inspired without you!
Literally the exact video I needed! I've been looking into making some removable boot covers for a Zelda cosplay and have never worked with foam before!! The foam clay sounds like it would be really useful for sculpting lightweight accessories too! I can't wait to apply a bunch of the techniques and advice from your video!!! Thank you so much for your super informative videos and tutorials!!
That takes me back a few decades to making swords and armour for LAPRing at university. Thank you for such a clear and up beat tutorial.
This is so amazing, I Just made my first armour pieces using pvc Pipes and this looks soooo much more pleasant to work with!! The instructions and tips are also super clear!
I'm doing my first attempt at a cosplay and had no idea where to start at making armor pieces. This is incredibly helpful.
Currently in the prep work for a Cosplay of Jetstream Sam (Metal Gear RR) and pretty new to foam work. Thanks to you i got the guideance i needed to finally start the
realization of the suit. Much appreciated thanks from germany
Damn I've been waiting for a video like this for ages XD
A Collection of "weird" armor pieces, like elbow- or kneeguards. I'm struggling a lot with mine.
Also How to make a Foamsword and Shield!
Might be your cup of tea! I have a full foam Hylian Shield build on my channel :-)
a 1-2in thick pvc pipe for the handle for a sword as for a shield depends but using Velcro or leather for the arm band to hold it on your arm helps.
With elbow or kneepads you could look for really cheap ones (for rollerblading and stuff) just to get an idea of a rough shape
Your videos are always a gift to the cosplay community.
Great video!! My 6 year old grandson wanted a Dark Magician from Yugioh costume and after seeing the video, I was able to make the hat, shoulder plates and I'm now working on the arm armor. Thank you so much for this informative and fun video.
This is my first video watching you and I’ve been wanting to get into cosplay and all I keep thinking I freaking love you I’m so relieved how simple you made this and gave me the confidence that I’ll be able to do this on my own ❤️❤️
I just discovered foam clay this year and I absolutely love it! I made my haunted house kitsune mask out of it
It's like you knew I was thinking about starting a new cosplay. I'll take this as a sign I should do it. Thank you.
this was an INCREDIBLE guide, THANK YOU!!! I've never heard of foam clay, that completely blew my mind
Omg THANK YOU! I am interested in making my own Ahsoka and clone trooper cosplay and I’m so overwhelmed on where to start and you made this so simple! I’m not scared to start anymore!
I am about to make my first cosplay ever and I have loved your work from a long time. After watching many videos of you I finally decided to make my own cosplay rather than buy it from someone which costs waaaaaay more than making it. I thank you so much for giving all this content to us for free and inspiring many people like me to cosplay and get into this hobby. I hope my Red Hood Ronin comes out great
Your giving me ideas and confidence for a really good costume ideas. Thank you! 💕💕
Ok that ZIPPER install was key! Who knew? YOU did!! 👏
Svetlana and Benni are basically my Cosplay God's.
I wouldn't have my channel without them! Seriously, thank you.
Is it just me, or is her accent the cutest thing I've ever heard!
She is hands down the cutest thing ever lol not to mention talented 🤩
I'm going to use this to help me make my first cosplay armor, which is Tenya Iida from My Hero Academia. Thank you so much!
I'm an austistic person and I have a special interest on Naruto. I've watched your videos for a while now and and I finally decided to purchase your book and a sewing machine. I finished my studies and will have more time now to get in to crafting. Thank you so much for everything !

... I never even thought about using zippers holy crap... I have some leather bracers that are laceup but I struggle to do them onehanded... this is amazing. Also this will make foam armor making so much easier thank you I’ve been honestly wondering how to get started with some of the smaller armor pieces
ooooooooooooooooo I never thought to use an open ended zip! Oh that is such a good idea that I am taking it that for my Zenyatta cosplay!
Also great video! Love your stuff!
That zipper addition is GENIUS! Thanks for the clear and concise instructions!
thank you two so much for the effort and the work u put into all of this! i would be lost without you guys

Wow, thats a great tutorial - you packed a lot of super useful information into very tight space, and simply gave out most of the information needed to just start crafting. Awesome stuff!
Vielen, vielen Dank.
This video is absolutely wonderful! You are amazing
Thank you very much. This was so easy to understand and helpful. I have promised to make my 2 young boys suits of armor and I was nervous to get started. Thank you for showing me such a great way to get started. You turned my fears into excitement. 😊
I've never used EVA foam before - just recycled materials like cardboard and plastic - but this makes what I've been doing seem so much more difficult! I am so glad I found this video thank you for teaching me :)
Thank you kamui cosplay.... Even Though I don't cosplay it's fun to watch your videos
Ahh yes !! This is exactly what I needed since I’m making my first armor piece (tenya iida from mha 👀👀) !!

Thank you so much for this guide. I’m making my first ever foam armor cosplay and looking forward to finish it! I’m really happy that I’m able to bring Diablo 3 Necromancer to life! :)
Great video Svetlana and Benni!! Good tips that break down the armor making process without making it intimidating!!
I was nervous about making cosplay armor before, but this made it seem a lot simpler! Also can a hair dryer be used instead of a heat gun?
hair dryer can work for thinner material like 2mm foam, but Ive had no luck on foam any thicker than that
not hot enough sadly
Ich mach nichtmal Cosplay und finde das hier trotzdem supergut xD
oh my god, thank you so much. all of the other tutorials I’ve seen have been so overwhelming but this one really REALLY helped 😭
The foam density's really helped me figure out which is good for which. Thank you
can you do a starlight Express cosplay?
Dieses Video kommt gerade recht xD Danke
I used foam clay for a belt buckle abd used 2 to 3 costs of plasi dip and it was very stiff! I love it!!
I love your tutorials. I’m looking to create original characters and literally have no idea what I’m doing so this is amazing. Purchasing all of your books like now
can you please do a video on how to make wings like dragon wings that would be so helpful
So, I guess it's time to forget my fabric costumes and to start making badass Star Wars armors. The Empire needs me. *grabs a lightsaber and a heatgun*
This is so cool to watch. Ive always just used regular foam you get at joannes and paper clay and have been doing that for 10+ years when materials were harder to find. All these materials seem to be similar to what Ive already been using but a biiig step up from them, so thanks for the video! I cant wait to try things out!
I don't do anything like this, but stumbled here when looking for foam template techniques. I gotta admit that these methods are admirably simple and effective. Always thought that making something like that is actually much harder thing to do. Note that I don't mean to say work is simple, but I mean the very core techniques that are simple. Like film, tape and glue.
*cutting self free on arm*

new to eva foam , most of my previous armour was with metal and leather , maille etc ,30 plus years with as a re enactment fighter with a medieval fighting club. I wish I could say it is similar but there a few differences that make it different . looks like fun. I made some horns from scratch , and found that i need to make them much larger than i think i will need , but they were ok for my first ever attempt . rule one if you think the glue is dry enough stop and wait another minute or two was the first thing i learnt , cant rush these things . thank you for the tips and videos , they help a lot , speargiver from Aus
You make the best tutorials. I went from having no clue where to start to having an Etsy Shop in a few months thanks to you
🙏🙂
That's awesome! Good luck!!!
You are a life saver. I wasn't sure how to begin till I watched your videos. ❤
I am SO glad I stumbled onto your videos! My sister and I both play D&D AND want to get into cosplay buy had no clue where to start. Now I can tell her what to check out!
Wow! You laid out so much info with the itemized list, all I really needed to do is watch your technique, try making a small project (Like the wristband) to get familiar and refer to you for applications and I would think after a while, I could be making cool little things working my way up to bigger and better.
I can't stress how informative this one video is.
The lists are a great way to keep your inventory.
This was really fun to watch.
You're so fun go watch and incredibly talented! Thanks for this video!!
I'm so inspired to give this a shot!
Nice, this was very clear and informative! I'm considering getting started with cosplay and your channel will be of great help. Thanks!
AMAZING! Wow I’m actually very inspired now on doing my own cosplay after watching your video. Thank you so much for the helpful tip
OMG! Thanks for your videos, Everyone automatically assumes you know what you are doing when making cosplay and you get hopelessly lost! Your tutorial videos showing every step are a godsend!!!!! SUBSCRIBED!!!!!

Wow. Finally a short, yet descriptive cosplay tutorial. I’m going to Tucson Comic-Con as Solid Snake from MGS1 and I had no idea how to go about painting and shaping and stuff like that, so this was actually super helpful. Thanks, so much ❤

lady, you've made my day! i've always been intrested in cosplay and find it mega amazing and cool. but no clue where to begin. usually i buy everything but i want to make some stuff myself. Bet never knew how to begin with it. but now i"ll be able to finally create my necromancer.

I love you so much. I’ve been wanting to make a Darius from league of legends cosplay and never knew what to use. Thank you so much!
What can I say? THANKS. This seriously helps a lot, both me and a friend of mine that tried to do a foam armor of Undyne from Undertale (it was her first time), maybe with your advices she'll be able to make even better armor pieces! :'D
I'm going to do some props for a Zexion cosplay in future, actually, just one, the book (LOL), I hope that you'll cover even the props part of this "tutorial"!
Also, there's one thing in your videos that make everyone literally fall in love with you and your channel, the way that you express joy from your mannerism and your smile, like, it's seriously noticeable that you really LOVE what you're doing, and I think it's really awesome to see something like this!
I'm glad to hear you like it! :D I DO love cosplay a lot!
