why could I see like, some absolutely insane circumstance, a random ass PDF member of Ultramar saves Roboute or Calgar and something like this gets made for them LOL
@@1Rendus Space Marine armour is oversized even for Space Marines and that is why hers looks goofy. Its not because they didn't do like an 8 foot tall cosplay but because they made the armour too form fitting whereas the helmet seems more to scale, not too big for her but definitely outsizes the rest of the armour.
Honestly the scale looks much better then the over the top height accurate cosplays of space marines. I like this alot and it looks alot more enjoyable to wear and move around in then the scale armor. If I ever build a suit I think ill copy this instead of the other designs
I like people like this who are chill and don’t try to say that space marines in the lore need to have woman but instead just wanna make a fun cosplay having nothing to do with the lore keep the good work up!
The Star Wars reference writes itself: "Aren't you a little short to be a Space Marine?" It still looks amazing, and only uptight grognards would be upset about the necessary adjustments to have a real person able to move without complicated stilts and grabby hands.
those shoulder pads are shockingly small. i mean they're perfect for a functional well designed set of armor. however for a space marine, well lets just say the inquisition might want a word.
As a hardcore Warhammer 40.00 fan I agree, as Cosplay fan I would like to mention that given the overall look of the Armor that was not as bulky it did fit quite well. Given the limited time available I am astonished how much she worked to keep the details and overall look in a coherent form. Soo.. as Cosplay Fan I like this version of a "Spess Mareen" very much.
I really appreciate that you chose to adapt the armor to the model's proportions. The Space Marine armor doesn't fit a normal human body, and often cosplayers try to recreate the exact dimensions of the miniatures, which results in an artificial look and an unnatural walk. In your case, even though the proportions aren’t 100% accurate, your cosplay paradoxically looks much more realistic. I really like it. Well done!
But it's about not being realistic. That's the whole point. Of course it doesnt make sense to have 10 feet tall guys with 5 feet wide shoulders with single piece couldrons on there that would make movement impossible. It's ridiculous Space Fantasy!
What you're saying isn't wrong, the Space Marine proportions would not be practical on a human. However, with the practical ratios, it looks more like a Mandalorian or Judge Dredd armor. The fundamental of a Space Marine is raw, unstoppable, mass destructive power and the imposing bulk defines their look. It's like trying to model a tank using a Reliant Robin for the base. While their costume looks amazing and super cool, it unfortunately falls into the uncanny valley.
You make a great point! However, I wish the pauldrons were just a little bit large. Even set a little higher would do it. Also, it would be great to see someone do a form fitting helmet that is elastic and much thinner than it looks. It would reduce the size!
Yeah, the planning should have covered the slimmer build there, as the helmet is made to "Space Marine" proportions while the rest of the armor is "Martina Proportions". I found the general result fitting well enough, tho.
Yeah don't get me wrong, incredible job they've done as always, but the scale makes it look a little goofy haha. They would've been served better by building much larger pauldrons.
First: what an amazing project! And even better for making nice shoutouts to other amazing creators/crafters. Since I found Nerdforge, this channel has been my main choice for "comfort watching" when I need a serotonin boost and this video is definitely one of the best at it! Well done, Martina and Hansi (and everyone who took part on this project as well). Second: the amount of "fEmAlE sPaCe MaRiNe BaD" comments reminds me of why I avoid to get into Warhammer stuff. Not exactly a welcoming community, I'd say.
i think there's also something to be said about how bringing the spacemarines proportions closer to your own bodies has a very visually pleasing effect. it looks so good!
WOOOOO TABLETOP TIME AND NERDFORGE!!!!!!!!! Me watching this frothing at the mouth because i love Space Marines and Warhammer 40k in general FOR THE EMPORER!!!!!
I think this video highlights how many scifi armor designs don't account for the need to fit a head inside the helmet. I'm assuming the helmet is as small as it can be? Or is it that the armor should be double the size to be in proportion?
Thanks for the motivation. I have a foam project due for school that I've been weary of stsrting, but if you can do THIS, then i can do my small project lol
Really nice. Just wish people would do something else than Ultramarines for once. Chaos Space Marines leave way more room for creativity, especially Noisemarines.
For easier armor/clothing making: make a silicon mold of yourself, and use that to create a mannequin of your own body shape. That would make the drawing the armor on the tape/wrap layer, much easier.

I remember that time John the space marine said 'it's time to warhammer' and then warhammered all over the tyranids. Best moment from the movie.
cringe
10:20 the dog is so unimpressed. he’s just like: „what? this is normal.“
That was literally the best spot to get he final shots 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 29:29
indeed, the final video clips are.... GLORIOUS
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the dancing Martina's? Like that was grammy worthy
The Star Wars reference writes itself: "Aren't you a little short to be a Space Marine?"
It still looks amazing, and only uptight grognards would be upset about the necessary adjustments to have a real person able to move without complicated stilts and grabby hands.
The Martina dancing montage while making armor is pretty goals ♥️😂 and “ElegAnce ✨ is me” MOOOD
This looks a lot less bulky and a lot more ergonomic than the original armor,
which of course is heresy.
agreement brother.
the original armor is actually very slim. real space marines are just that big.
oh brother THIS GUY STINKS
This feels more like nerdforge 💜
When you do projects that you’re passionate about, it’s so much better!
This was shared in the Rogue Hobbies discord, love the energy and the build, Subbed!
*waves*
Okay, Timelaps Martina is oficcially the best thing since sliced bread. I could watch her dancing all day
those shoulder pads are shockingly small. i mean they're perfect for a functional well designed set of armor. however for a space marine, well lets just say the inquisition might want a word.

@@darkgrrrrl8809 "Spess Mareen". Hehe. Yes.
Absolutely. Amazing. Thank you for letting me see this! Best warhammer armor ever!
Well done!
Jaja, no! She looks ridiculous!
i think it looks good until the helmet is onm and then the propotions feel completely off with a massive head and tiny body
Its the cutest little Ultra Marine, I bet she would destroy millions of tyrannids.
Bet she's a stain in the drop pod on landing.
only those ratling Tyranids and only in small batches, let's be realistic lol
@@gorganhorn6872 bro why you soo aggressive
29:30 The head to rest of the body ratio is hilarious 😂
Yeah, the planning should have covered the slimmer build there, as the helmet is made to "Space Marine" proportions while the rest of the armor is "Martina Proportions". I found the general result fitting well enough, tho.
Yeah don't get me wrong, incredible job they've done as always, but the scale makes it look a little goofy haha. They would've been served better by building much larger pauldrons.
Reminds me of Bo-Katan, in The Mandalorian, also a relatively petite woman wearing a huge helmet
kinda 3rd grade of space marines school
just smol', but still dangerous
What an amazing collaboration between you guys I'm a huge fan of Warhammer 40k and both of your channels, you did a fantastic job 💯 ❤
I love the fact that your EPIC space marine wears cute little flower socks in those huge ass boots! xD
i think there's also something to be said about how bringing the spacemarines proportions closer to your own bodies has a very visually pleasing effect. it looks so good!
The space marines are supposed to be genetically modified *and* to use power armour.
9:48 Unfortunately, we can't all have a dance party with our clones ...
Hansi segments? Truly the Omnissiah has blessed us this day.
the amount of creativity Martina has to do her projects aways blow my mind!
¡NOW BATTLE SISTER! ¡YOU MARCH FOR MACRAGGE! ¡AND YOU SHALL KNOW NO FEAR! ¡FOR THE PRIMARC! ¡FOR THE EMPEROR!
heresy
@@joeygk2990 just a small one
Thanks for the motivation. I have a foam project due for school that I've been weary of stsrting, but if you can do THIS, then i can do my small project lol
Only at the last glory shots did I realise Martina's hair matches the armor paintjob perfectly xD
The cut between the scenes and colors was pretty wild!
Really nice. Just wish people would do something else than Ultramarines for once. Chaos Space Marines leave way more room for creativity, especially Noisemarines.
1:36 YOU LEFT THE TRUNK OPEN
Cosplaying as a Warhammer "miniature" 😂
For easier armor/clothing making: make a silicon mold of yourself, and use that to create a mannequin of your own body shape. That would make the drawing the armor on the tape/wrap layer, much easier.
