not a fair comparison in my opinion! you should have compared the Tissot 2000 with the green blueish dial and bracelet to that Seiko, would have been a better match. I did like some of your points, but remember wrist size is everything I have a large wrist and can wear anything from a 42mm to 50mm but think 45mm is perfection, for a thin man I would say stay around 42mm if you want presence however comparing a stap watch to a bracelet watch does not have the same delivery.

I like Seiko and own several divers like the Turtle, Samurai, mini Turtle and MM 200, but until they address the quality control issues like simple bezel alignment, the Swiss will continue to dominate the market. The Tissot trumps the Seiko in more than three categories, the depth rating is huge and has HE escape valve, the ceramic bezel insert, longer power reserve, signed crown with guards, and if the Tissot was on a bracelet, it would be better than the Seiko for sure. I have the Seastar 1000 gen 1 and I would still wear that over this Sumo.

    Hello there !
I was trying to analyze and understand a little bit of your content regarding both watches and brands. Both houses manufactures great pieces and both of them has options for entry level, nonetheless it's obvious that Seiko has a expensive line called Grand Seiko which in terms of accuracy are excellent, but there's no point of comparison when a Seiko is in front of a Tissot watch, it's like I put a Corolla Sedan in front of an Aston Martin or a Ferrari. Swiss watches are categorized to be one of the precise and timekeeping watches within an acceptable threshold, while a regular Seiko offers +/ - 30 secs to 41 secs a day but that doesn't mean it cannot be regulated among any other watches. Both pieces look fantastic.
In terms of value/ money, the best option for an excellent entry-level Swiss watch is the Tissot.

I liked the comparison, I think that Seiko is the more elegant and comfortable watch, then the Tissot is the more sportier, more towards the functionality of a true divers watch. So outside for dinner, take the Seiko, than the day after you go swimming, take the Tissot :)
