Jedi Fallen Order is too violent

- Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order's Cal Kestis has a dark side. I have a theory that in Jedi Fallen Order 2 Cal could turn to the dark side, explore his inner inquisitor, and possibly become a Sith Lord. Fallen Order's Combat Challenges DLC allowed me to test Cal's lightsaber technique, and prove my point using some brutal gameplay. For more Battlefront 2, new Lego Star Wars, Jedi Fallen Order, and Star Wars gaming, stay bombastic 🕶

Will Cal turn to the dark side in Jedi Fallen Order 2?
Idk

Bombastic I hope he meets Darth jar jar and makes an alliance
Sometimes i feel bad for the stormtroopers saying “I dont wanna die here” or something like that
I feel bad for all Stormtroopers in Star wars. Plot armor was too strong.
I know right? Sometimes in zeffo the heavy class stormtrooper say "NO NO DONT HURT ME PLEASE"
and when they hit you they feel so confident and then you kill them
They are so human and honestly it's like them saying "I have a family"
ikr R. I. P you good stormtroopers
His fighting style is raw because he didn't finished his Training. He was on his own for quite a while...
Cameron Monaghan explains that in a interview even^^
Bombastic said that in the start tho
Eh idk if that's really explains away everything. Personally would prefer if you were a little more defensive as a jedi. You just slice through everything in the game. Even animals like there aren't force techniques to calm or tame wildlife.
Kru that be cool calming at least the herbivorous animals is an interesting concept
Maybe in the next game Cere might teach him more abilities etc.
@@stephennugent9958 yeah maybe
But i think there will be a little timejump (maybe to after the destruction of the first deathstar) so he is older and a bit more skilled from the Start of the next game. And i hope we get a Luke cameo at some point.
Either way, i can't wait for the next game😁
He uses the Shii Cho fighting style. When he fights, he allows the force to flow through him. This is what causes his erratic blade work and brutality.
The pull-and-stab is a signature Ventress move, and the freeze is a signature Kylo ability....
The freeze ability can be used by both darksiders and light side force users
Technically Kylo is using Force Stasis or Freeze while Cal is using Force Slow which is a technically different ability. Force Slow in legends was much different it was described as the force user tricking the brain of the target making them slow down(it was also a dark side aligned ability funnily enough) but now its actually slowing down an object.
@@dragonslaya6203 Yeah I think it's kind of similar to the force judgement and force lightning thing
and everything else is starkiller's
DRAGONSLAYA Force Statis doesn’t slow opponents. Force Statis puts the opponent in a live but stunned state.
I like how he says that the stormtroopers are helpless against Cal, when the whole time the stormtroopers are shooting at him with blasters that will kill any normal person
I don’t think Cal is actually force pulling troopers by their necks here.
I mean every other time we see individuals force pulled by the neck, they all grasp at their neck in a sign of choking. The troopers don’t do that, they just helplessly hang their arms down. Not saying this makes stabbing them in the gut any better, though...
He also isn't clenching his hand like is normally depicted with force choking. Seems to me that Cal is just picking the troopers up by their armor or something.
@@lenxHD yeah I thought the same
I actually played the game again today and I realized that whenever you pull a stormtrooper they actually say something, one of them said “there’s nothing I can do.” So yea Cal is definitely not choking them.
If you look at the most extended part of the pulled troop you can see that it is their chest
I mean they cant move when you pull them in based on body language
We need a game playing as a sith or just being on the Empire's side. I'm so sick of everything needing to be from the perspective of the good guys. It's getting old.
We kinda got a small taste of it in the force unleashed, but really do agree with you

But not really
@@Middy_ But didn't Starkiller in the end still become a good guy? (I haven't played Force Unleashed in a long time and never played the second so i could be wrong)

Me: "And que the 'Please think of the children!' meme..."
8:51 That would have probably become a legitimate theory if it had come out pre Last Jedi.
Did you not hear what he said next. Honestly it's pretty plausible as Vader knows how strong cal is
@Darth Sidious chill
I will sacrifice a thousand children to make a game fun and violent especially doom because if you have doom you can say “fuck yo couch” pull out a shotgun and shoot someone in the face and it just works
@@miami8007 get help you're no match for him he's a sith lord
I thought you were going to show off a mutilation mod or something 😂
Yeah I thought this video was going to be more to do with the game itself being too violent then comparing it to other Star Wars video games.
I thought the Karen’s were complaining about this game being too violent.
@@NoU-pf8fc *Ugh, I bought my kids this game last week, and they said it was way too violent, my children did nothing wrong, they are good kids, but games like this are the people trying to ruin my perfect children, Respawn, I WOULD LIKE TO SPEAK TO YOUR MANAGER!* -Karen

Stormtrooper: can't wait to get home for a break
Cal: imma end this man's whole career
When a imperial graduates from the academy, they don't just become stormtroopers. They will spend multiple years fighting and climbing through the ranks until they become stormtroopers. Stormtroopers are elite troops. We know this from Solo. When Han joined the imperial army he, he started out as a army trooper. They look really similar to ATST drivers. Also when Han and other army troopers are losing to some natives, they call for the "elites". After that a bunch of stormtroopers come and melt the native. Stormtroopers being elites are referenced in many other canon novels, such as the first book in the new Thrawn trilogy. Stormtroopers would of made many friends and would have families. They also worked and working to become the best soilders possible, their life goal. And then some random teen with plot protection comes and slaughters them all. How evil.
Mikah Niedbalski they were not that elite, after graduating from the imperial academy you could join the navy, the stormtrooper corps or planetary forces. There were billions of them.
@@egzabiheryemsgen4982 Did you there is a thing called imperial army troopers? Han was one is Solo. They also reference that
stromtroopers are elite in the movie.
@@Lo-bx7de can you explain it again for other people I kinda understand but some people won't by the way you wrote it..
That doesn’t mean Cal can justify his brutal massacres
@@VincentBricks oh but the Empire can justify their brutal massacres? Oh, but they have families, and children! That's so sad. Doesn't stop them from killing and torturing children and families across the galaxy. Considering they're also all trying to either kill Cal or to capture him to torture him, break him, mutilate him and then turn him into an Inquisitor, then yes, I would say they had it coming.
Cal knows Shi-cho, his fighting style is what he learned from Shi-cho, which is a good balance of offense and defense, mainly for parries and counters. His fighting style isn’t “violent” it’s just how he learned.

@@starwarsfan6639 that isn't a thing
From the Wookieepedia article on Niman, "In keeping with the tactic of incorporating Force powers into combat, two primary Form VI maneuvers, the "draw closer" and the "pushing slash", were conjunctions between lightsaber moves and telekinetic attacks. Effectively polar opposites of one another, the "draw closer" involved telekinetically seizing an opponent and pulling the enemy into the path of his blade, while the "pushing slash" slammed the opponent with a Force push after scoring an attack". Niman, aka Form VI was one of the most common lightsaber forms practiced.
Cal will probably die in the next game, he was a Jedi that escaped Vader’s grasp and carried a holocron with force Sensitive children, Vader will likely be on the hunt for him despite the Holocron being destroyed, and it would be great for Cal’s last stand to fight Darth Vader even if he could counter every move you could throw at him their would be a 1% chance of beating the dark lord.
Star wars rebels
Right when fallen order was released: NOT VIOLENT ENOUGH
Right now: TOO VIOLENT
thats what i said to my self when the video was loading
Its still not violent enough
Jedi fallen order "look how violent we are"
Jedi knight games "aww that's cute"
“The emperor made snoke… out of Cal Kestis” has the same exact vibes as “They were nobody… because they chose to be”
lol so true!!!
Wow, you had such incredible wording in this video. Everything you said was just perfect. Also, I think Cal only wears one glove because it has a built in communicator. You can see a little rectangle on it.
Luke skywallker Blowing up milions of inocent stotmtroopers on the dead star was is the jedi way?
The Jedi have always been very hypocritical in their reasoning, for example when I saw the rise of skywalker at the end Rey and the rebels annihilated thousands of people who were in the star destroyers, and the scene where they are exploding and falling as if it were a happy moment seemed sadistic to me. Not to mention, it was the Jedi who extinguished the Sith.
Makes sense
Well you also have to realize that killing is the nature of war. Take the Clone Wars for example, the Jedi tried negotiating but it failed so they let the politicians do that while they led the armies because they were more than capable to fight in the wars. During the Galactic Civil War, negotiation was impossible, so war was necessary. If everyone in the world is trying to kill you and you want to fight for what's right (making you a strong person) then you'd fight to protect yourself or anyone who helps you, but once they stop then you stop. THAT is the Jedi way. Anikan with Tyrannus? He couldn't fight so he would've been taken for interrogation and put into confinement, which is what Anikan was going to do. Killing is not against the Jedi way, killing mercilessly with no intent on doing anything else is.
P.S. - None of the stormtroopers were innocent. None of the workers on the Death Star were innocent. In the last movie where those destroyers had planet-killing weapons on all of them, none of the crew/soldiers on board were innocent (especially since they literally were trying to murder, well, everything). You're kinda victimizing murderers
You have to keep in mind that Luke at the point of the Death Stars destruction had only been given 1 day of training, he had no idea of what was the Jedi way and a similar thing can be said about Rey
The Jedi Order wasn't active during the OG and Sequel Trilogy. So...fail.
Nah, "they knew what they were getting into." ua-cam.com/video/iQdDRrcAOjA/v-deo.html
Welcome to another episode of looking way too far into simple animations
It’s a theory
These people all make a big deal about small things in games. It’s a game just have fun
He won’t turn to the dark side he just won’t canonically he’s not that violent it’s the medium of a video go if has to be interactive and has to also be able to have actual combat so ya from that idea and approach ya no he won’t because he’s not that bad
we need a sequel to this game where he contemplates the light and dark. then at the end of the game you choose whether you join the dark or stay with the light.
Pretty pointless to have that at the end of the game...
@@KyleMacSkill if it would be like fallouts moral system with several choices recolving around morality it would make sense. Though you'd probably pick a side midway through.
Lowkey this would make sense
@@futuretrunks6430 I just mean it would be dumb if at the end of the game you get to choose the dark side and not get a chance to use Dark side abilities. Midway through would be perfect
Or become a grey jedi and have powers from both.
I believe that cal’s fighting style is like this because of when he was trained. The clone wars were a brutal thing for even a full grown adult let alone a kid and Cal was right there with his master who is the closest thing to a father he had. Then one day everything changed for him his “father” was shot to death in front of him and all he could do was watch. So with his training incomplete and know way of learning from other Jedi anymore Cal has to improvise and with everything that had happen to him he probably let the dark side in a little without knowing it and thought it was normal.
Bombastic: He's in the grey zone.
Me: Isn't that the zone all force users should strive for, perfect balance between light and dark making grey?
Yeah like Ashoka for example she’s not a Jedi but she isn’t a sith either same can be said for Rey really too
The pull and stab moves even has (or had) a name though. Draw Closer. So it may look brutal, but it is taught by the Jedi. Or at least it was in the old canon.
Plo koon was always pretty rugged too there’s a lot of Jedi that fought agressive
The last experience that Cal had with a Trooper (before the game) was when they were shooting at him and killed his master and that was when he was a mere child so its possible that he always gets a fight or flight response when he sees/makes contact with a trooper
And remember his master died because he couldnt fight the clones so that could trigger the fight response because he is afraid of someone else dying because he couldnt protect them.
Cal didn't do any of these things, the player did. **Smug Grin**
I feel like this every time a storm trooper is killed in the OT
Stormtrooper:noooo u just can’t kill me I’m defenceless and have a family
Cal:haha lightsaber go slash slash
“Why does he feel the need” he doesn’t. The player can make the decision to freeze the stormtrooper and then run away but often they don’t. The character Cal’s way of thinking can’t be determined based on the things he does under the control of the player
I like how you describe the storm trooper as "helpless" while he was shooting at cal and has 20 other storm troopers as back up
I feel so bad for stormtroopers they are just trying to make some money for their family but they get brutally murdered by a Jedi or get eaten by something 1 like equals one prayer for a stormtrooper (I feel so bad when they scream tho😔)
@ Stormiez , I know right ! I just really feel bad for them 😞
bro that made me sad I'll never stab a stormtrooper anymore :(
No it's even worse
Stormtroopers are mostly kids that were abducted and trained from an extremely young age to fight and then brainwashed into thinking the empire is good
@ Eli Adest , 😞😞😞😞
@ KallenKoffer _ , Good
Is there any way of "peacefuly" and emotionlessly murdering anyone to death?
His style feels more rough and straight forward, due to him learning everything for himself.
I love that he moves more like a normal person would, instead of the dance-like fighting seen on ep 1-3.
Also, Luke does force choke enemys in ep 6. At that point he is almost in the same type of jorney as Cal and just uses the force as he needs to almost without thinking of the light or dark aspects of the uses. His fighting style at the Sarlac is super aggressive and rugged too.
6:13 me when the man in side a van asks me to hop in for candy
Thought the story, cal actually made his own lightsaber form fighting style, He can’t show mercy, he can’t risk losing anymore he has already lost enough so he just straight up kills them and he is just lost. Plus it’s a video game and you control the character so you can just not kill the storm troopers and run away or kill them
If he turned to the dark side that would be awesome. I’d love to see that and play as him like that
2:00 but those stormtroopers weren’t defenceless. They attacked him, and he had to defend himself
Damn... that’s a woooosh right there
Cal was raised during the Clone Wars so many lightsaber techniques were more aggressive. The Force can be used for passive aggressive attacks; at least Cal isn't using Force Choke or other dark side abilities. And as Cere said, every Jedi struggles with the dark side
9:43 The Order 66 flashback scene: Am I a joke you you?
I don't really think that your opinion is valid because in reality when you are the one playing it's not Kal that chooses to brutalize a helpless stormtrooper it's you doing that move. Just force throw them or kick them. Plus, I'm pretty sure dispatching a stormtrooper by impaling them is better than being cut into pieces.
A Gargantuoum Potato The problem is a whole lot wider than just Fallen Order. All across games and movies do we see stormtroopers thoroughly dehumanized and portrayed as things, as if they blindly followed the Empires every whim, as if they didn’t have wives and children to return to at the end of the day. It really exposes a Jedi’s hypocrisy.
Me when my mom opens the door but the anime im watching turns wierd 0:14
I have disliked this comment because it is trash and I hate it and you
calm down dude
8:50 “I think cal will become snoke”
boy where they wrong
There is a thing that when you fight strorm troopers and there is only one left the strormtrooper say things like ,,No no no” or ,,Please don’t kill me”
I can hear the karens now...
We need a rated M Star Wars game, anyone else agree?
I was thinking the same thing with his lightsaber technique but had no real good points. This is perfect!
That feeling when you're watching a video 5 minutes after it's uploaded and you're also one of the first thousand viewers.....MMM.....it's so nice....
I haven't touched JFO since December 2019. I need to replay that good crap.
9:44 what about order 66 scene? He was a hologram
Yep
He says it a few seconds later
One problem. When you use force slow you can walk away from the trooper and leave them unharmed but the player chooses not to for exp. like wise in all the bosses. Don’t believe me let’s see
Boss 1 : second sister tutorial encounter. Cal defends himself and can chose not to fight her and just dodge or die
Boss 2: AT-ST, Cal destroys the machine and can Leave the plant and driver alone
Boss 3: Security droid, is a droid and doesn’t count. If you disagree look at clone wars
Boss 4: Second sister: cal loses
Boss 5 ninth sister : cal chops of arm then try’s to leave Goku style, ninth sister attacks and gets PUSHED off a cliff
Boss 6 a bat whose name I can’t spell: it commits sudoku by flying in a cliff to get cal off its back.
Boss 7 tal malacos I think. Merin seals him away.
Boss 8 second sister: gets away
Boss 9 second sister: killed by darth Vader
Boss 10 vader: cal losses
Side bosses e.g oggdo boggdo, albino wiscashe ext : you can run past them
And the final argument that denies this. Clone wars season 3 the one about umbra where Rex has to kill the dark Jedi after Anikan leaves. Both anikan and krell kill umbrans which are people not droids... sure they both turned to t he dark side but obi wan also killed umbrans when he was their too
BOOM whole thing debunked...... sorry if this ruins it for you
This to me is one of the best theory crafting pieces for Jedi Fallen Order I have seen in a long time!
Remember, the empire isn't the first order. Some stormtroopers are literally just in the job to support their family, or to have a more comfortable life than being in a worse job. They aren't just blind soldiers, they're people, just like soldiers in real life.
I think any way that being a stormtrooper you had the best paying job which came with risks such as rebels attacking the Empire that you swore to protect.
Have u seem any of the movies?
They kill stormtroopers ALL THE TIME it's crazy but nobody cares about those of course🙄🙄🙄
(Plus there are some combat ready Jedi out there like mace windu)
Jedi: Guardians of peace and justice, diplomats
Also Jedi: So anyway I started cutting up them clones
We shouldn’t be blaming cal, we should be blaming the player controlling cal
If you complain about fighting style and brutal finisher. This game won't be "fun"🤦🏻♂️ stick to battlefront 2.
No bro! Cal ain’t turning evil.....it’s the way u play that makes him brutal,ya don’t have to stab him in fact u can run past enemy’s !
A possible reason why Cal wears the glove could be that at some point he lost control and used Sith lighting making his hand disfigured, so he then vows to cover up the hand and never take off the glove
"why doesn't he just knock him out"
Oh I don't know, why didn't our ancestor just knock people out during wars. Why didn't the rebels just knock them out. Why didn't other jedi just knock them out
When you have no new content and have to milk jedi fallen order
Force Pull:Disarms
Stormtrooper:I don't want to die here
Cal: *How Bout I Do Anyways*
I really really hope that they allow you to choose a dark ending or a light ending in the next game
6:14 GOOD THINKING OLD MAN
"There's no dismemberment in Jedi Fallen Order"
Me, wondering how we cut off the ninth sister's arm without dismembering it?
Personally, Cal’s fighting style is less of him turning to the dark side and more of him not being trained in saber combat.
He treats the saber less like a sword and more like a baseball bat, which makes sense, considering that a lightsaber is really heavy and not exactly a weapon that can be used like a epee (fencing sword) without practice, which Cal seems to lack.
In an interview with the actor for Cal Kestis, Cameron Monaghan he said because Cal was just a Padawan when Order 66 happened, his fighting style isn't as refined as the normal Jedi Knight or Master who has been fully so that's why he's more raw and brutal.
I think Kal is following the force, instead of being blinded by the arrogance of the light or the dark. A quote I like is when Merrin says, “We’re survivors, we adapt.” Kal agrees with Malicos that the Jedi were blinded by tradition, so they had to change.
Ehm... are we going to tell him that Snoke was a clone?
“He’s not a Jedi, he’s just a guy with a lightsaber “ lol
the amount of fallen order videos you made for the update is madness. Pure madness.
Cal being turned into Snoke is one of the most ridiculous theories and I absolutely love it.
Bruh, have you never seen the old republic Jedi? Those absolute hardasses took on sith apprentices and armies on the daily, and you're stunned to see Cal bisecting some stormtroopers.
Besides, he's already rejected the call of the dark side once. Would be cool to see him become a fully realised grey jedi.
Reviewer : its too violent 😢
Me : this is the way
here's a idea in the second game the main villain could be the sith stalker who is being used as a living weapon by Vader and emperor.
4:02 but you can do that, it's the player that kills the frozen stormtroopers.
Every time I hear Landos laugh in your videos I loss it lol
What makes cal’s absolute genocide worse is that some stormtroopers will say things like ‘I don’t wanna die here!’ Some of them literally beg for there life
9:03 LOL 😂😂😂😅😅😅👌
4:03 ZA WARUDO
The music is just tempting

LEG STAB
The force pull+stomach stab combo was first shown by Ventress in the Clone Wars. Its a bad guy technique, proving that the Empire was right.
Qui Gon was only alive because he kept him self alive to tell obi wan to train Anakin
Cal turning to the darkside would be a farrrrr better story than the “Jedi helps fight for the rebellion” we have seen 8000 times.
I mean... Jaro Topal is a Aggressive fighter, unless your going through his "training."
And at this point, I'm pretty sure Cal could be considered a Gray Jedi-
He could always become a gray jedi like Ashoka. Not fully dedicated to the light or dark, uses the force in a balanced way
The symbolism of cal killing a trooper by drawing it in with the force to how snoke died is kinda interesting.
0:19
“Cal can’t turn to the dark side because Palpatine and Vader are the two Sith Lords.”
Taron Malicos: Am I a joke to you?
Darth Maul: Am I a joke to you?
The Inquisitorius: *Are we a joke to you?!*
this theory is interesting, because it stands on the player's actions. i remember when i first played, i would spare some of the stormtroopers bc i felt bad when they said something like, "i dont wanna die here!" i think it would be cool if cal's choice to be a sith was affected thru gameplay. not some stupid quicktime event or a conversation thingy, i mean if u choose to massacre everything u see, then u would be more inclined to be a sith, but if u take the passive choice, to only kill when u need to, then u would become a jedi. i think wut im trying to say is that it should be like the boss fight with the sorrow in metal gear solid three.
i love your vids you are my favorite youtuber
"this is more brutal than dismemberment" continues to do it to every stormtrooper
Mace Windu was brutal in his combat style, using a version of Juyo, a Sith favored technique, and he didn't fall. I doubt Cal knows any moves beyond Shi-Cho, probably bits of Soresu, and obviously the beginnings of Jar'Kai. So basing Cal's fate based on combat when his lightsaber technique can be considered amateurish compared to other Jedi and Sith, is a little farfetched.
The stormtroopers beg for mercy but then continue to relentlessly attack you 💀
I take it as Cal going beyond the old teachings, just like Luke would eventually do, and not limit himself to the same extent other Jedi did. A person can be brutal and do horrible things without ever turning into a bad guy. As far as he's doing it for the "right reasons", by which I mean still having the same goals as a Jedi. It's called being an anti-hero, forgoing the "no kill rule" and allowing yourself to do things other heroes would not. Think Wolverine or Deadpool. Neither are evil or even bad guys. Yet they kill, and brutally so.
Yeah and for DC Jason is just like that or so many other characters people love in other shows games movies and fandoms
I always remember how Cal talks to BD about "Slicing things" Cal doesn't enjoy killing the Strom Troopers but he explains to BD that it needs to be done.
@Zerebrat Eightyseven Nah so Cal asks about BD slicing and then BD mutters something about Cal slicing stormtroopers all the time
