Zeffo in Jedi Fallen Order 2?
Bombastic most likely
%100 well if it’s part of the story
Hopefully
Play through the sequel with the bombastic squad. By the way what ever happened to them?
I thought it was used to much but yeah it would be cool
Those “stone status” of the Zeffo on Dathomir reminds me of those “stone status” of Jedi and Sith on Malachor in Star Wars Rebels
IKR I saw them and said damn that reminds me of malachor
Timeless yeah me to. I wasn’t sure if it was intentional from the devs but it kinda felt like it was
Petrified in an instant probably
Same type of weapon /technology as the altar of malachor?
They could be the remnants of the victims of an ancient Republic superweapon called the Mass Shadow Generator. No one knows what exactly it did but it virtually erased Malachor V. BTW this is all canon.

There are so many secrets in this game
That's what makes me feel like flying out of bounds and explore
Can we just take a minute to appreciate the absolutely gorgeous Tombs of the Sages?
Right? I'm currently doing a playthrough of Fallen Order on my channel and exploring the Tombs of the Sages and discovering their secrets is pretty amazing!
They way the Zeffo sage described their falling is very similar to that of the Jedi, the dark side cloading them and so on and how they started moving away from the path of balance
Its all a big cycle.

@@rafaelarrington6315 Uh wrong franchise and not even the right meme
You mentioning Palpatine brings up an interesting idea:
What if in the next game we discover that The Emperor wasn’t interested in Zeffo culture because of the Holocron on Bogano, but in trying to find out more about the dark side use and power by Zeffo sages, specifically Kujet, and thus, trying to use their ancient knowledge of the force to further his own goals? It’s already shown he is very keen to learn more from ancient sources of the Dark Side (Such as Lord Momin’s Mask)
You must know your enemy
I really wish they put a story about Sage Kujet in the recent Dark Legends book. Anyway, it's great to see a lore video on this channel. Please make more of these!
When the backstory of an anciant civilisation in a video game is way more interessant and fitting to the universe than the disney trilogy, you know your IP has a problem.
The Zeffos are one of my, if not the, favorite species in star wars. A show or even a comic about them would be so cool.
Aren't they part of the Disney IP?
These are part of Disney.... and why does it have to be one without the other? The zeffo are my favourite part of Star Wars and I’ve spent so much time trying to decide their carvings and figure out who they were (and I think I have a sense of what happened) but I also love the sequels so
😑
@@jamiesettle4348 I didn't like da disney trilogy it was a literal mess as they were literally changing things as they made the movie which was not planned at all, which they lied to us about, I also just love how the last movie is "Oh nO Palps Is BAcK and HAs lIke A BillioN Star DEstroyers with fuKIng deATh sTarLasers! WOWWEE but uhh Rey HAS 2 LIGHTSABERS and palps is ded" and the fuking "TheY FlY NOw" part was the worst attempt at comedy i've ever seen....
@@commanderpondscc-4112 So was the prequel trilogy. Grow the hell up
"Dogma blinded us to the path of balance, and gradually we allowed our pride to corrupt us. The greater control we sought, the further we fell into ruin." Many might think of the sith when hearing this, but it perfectly describes the jedi as well. In fact, the Sith code is just an offshoot of the jedi code, built in direct opposition to its imbalance. But the direct opposite of imbalance is just more imbalance. The tale of the Zeffo is a warning to all dogmatic tribes, clans, and cults.
The Zeffo remind me a lot of the Rakata from Star Wars KOTOR
Same thought here
Odd, right?
Except the Zeffo are far better written than the rakata. Zeffo weaves seamlessly into the Star Wars continuity without upsetting it too much. The rakata were too powerful, and all galactic history was recontextualised around their existance. The Zeffo give off an aura of having been just as powerful, but their far off existance only has bearing on current events because one scholar saw the parallels between the history of the fall of the Zeffo and the events that were unfolding in his own lifetime. It is subtle, and masterfully executed
4:50 it looks like he's using the force on him
I don't believe the zeffo are extinct maybe they're still hiding in the unknown regions hopefully I'd hate for yet another species' history and culture and art to be lost
Okay Thrawn...
There's a canon species that threatens the Chiss Ascendancy and the galaxy. They look a lot like the Zeffo, although a little more evolved.
@@Neteruk and that could be believeable, since the zeffo have been gone for centuries, so maybe they evolved a bit more to handle their new home
There was a bounty hunter zeffonian seen on clone wars series
@@pginaeemidris2069 Wrong dude, that guy is Embo and he isn't a zeffo,
The Art of and story around the Zaffo remind me of something archaic and resonate with something ancient.
The devs did a stellar job with this game.
It could have been a super weapon like the one we see in season 2 ending in rebels
That’s what I kept thinking of too
A terrible Force Ritual I imagine. :/
I like how each of the 3 legendary sages represents various stages of the Zeffo's decline as a civilization, from honoring the wisest among them maybe just a bit too much (the 1st sage, eilram's tomb, a converted place of meditation and learning), to becoming little more than petty god kings who ruled through harsh dogma (Miktrull's overly opulent tomb, built through slave labor, a monument to unchecked vanity), only to fully descend into megalomania and unimaginable cruelty. (Kujet the third 'great' and horrible sage, completely consumed by darkness)
The Zeffo Sage's remarks about hubris and control mirrors the fall of the Jedi Order in the old Republic exactly. They had reached a point, like the Zeffo, where they sought more and more control over their Jedi, and their dogma, their religious laws and traditions, had replaced morality and balance, and in the end it was their ruin and downfall (through Anakin - since instead of teaching him balance they tried to control him, and the more they tried to control him the more they pushed him away)
This is so not true. The three tombs tell of three moments in Zeffo history. The Tomb of Eilram showcases how the Zeffo revered and respected the Force - their Life Wind. It was a shrine to the deceased, built on a place where the Sages were taught how to wield the Life Wind's powers. The Tomb of Eilram represents what he Jedi lived prior to their downfall. Wisdom and honour.
The latter tombs represent a fall from this ideal. The Sages turned from wise followers of the Life Wind to callous slave drivers, drowning in pride and arrogance, corralling the weak and burning their lives to build on the glory of the leaders and masters of their people. Cordova expresses with great sorrow this shift in Zeffo society.
Then there is Kujet. When pride, cruelty, arrogance and tyranny became the norm for the Zeffo sages, it was only a matter of time until the Dark Side became the true master of their practice, and then Kujet did exactly what the Sith attempt to do: kill all those who did oppose him, or would oppose him, or represent a threat to his power. To concentrate power in the hands of only one ruler, and snuff out the flames of opposition. That is the last step before doom. Balance is what came before: honour, openness with the world and the truth of the Force. Imbalance, what followed: greed and pride, hubris and cruelty and the Dark Side that consumes all, those who oppose it and those who practice it
Much like the Pharisees in the Bible they Became power hungry and stuck in tradition and quit listening to God
6:46 the Zeffirelli’s said “Dogma” it just reminded me of the Clone Trooper Dogma mostly shown in the CW S4 Umbara arc. It’s highly unlikely that they are the same but I just wanted to share that it reminded me of him :)
DAMN IT DOGMA!! FIRST YOU BETRAY YOUR BROTHERS, THEN YOU BLIND THE ZEFFO?? Bruh
Lucky Llama I know and he always went by orders and by the book that’s why they called him that. I just wanted to share how it reminds me of him haha
I thought that was S4?
Spiral YT it was that’s what I meant sorry. I’ll fix that😂
Dogma is another word for the dark side
I honestly just *love* the Zeffo, despite seeing one only in a vision. They really found new interesting ways of wielding the Life Wind/Force. I doubt Jedi could use it to create a small light rock tornado encircling an entrance. It's a good thing Palpatine never checked Dathomir. If he learned to turn somebody into stone.... Yeesh. The way the Zeffo don't think of it as a power(as a force), but of something that binds us, gives us life, air. What happened to them is exactly what came of the jedi and they somehow served as teachers to Cal. Really makes one wonder about 2 things:
1.)are they still somewhere? If yes, than I wish we meet them.
2.) Were there any Zeffo Jedi? An awesome combination!
When I heard Dathomair I knew I wasn’t going to see the secret myself...
I wish there was more stuff like this in Star Wars. It’s really cool. Hopefully we see more with the Zeffo in the future!
Like what? Mysterious lore?
Does Dee Bradley Baker (he voices all of the clones in TCW) voice the Zeffo being during Cal's vision on Bogano? Sounds like him

I want to see a breakdown on that interaction you have with the Zeffo Sage in the Force vision you get after opening the vault with the astrium.
I loved this video... The style you made it almost gave us the full experience and it was awesome!!! Keep it up... I cannot think of many other types of stories Iike this we can find but one cool one would be how the star destroyer on zeffo crashed... There are a lot of memories CAL finds about the Jedi and clones and the combat challenges also help depict the scene so I hope you do that one next!!!
The Zeffo always creeped me out, anyone agree?
I loved this video, it was a nice change of things it was nice going into a deeper part of the lore in the game

I like this mysterious documentary type of video. I think the Zeffo are very interesting.
I’m 90% sure that the zeffo were originally gonna tie into the duel of the fates script. Not directly, but quietly setting up and hinting that Tor Valum was the last of the zeffo, heavily corrupted by the dark side of the force. But once TROS was well underway, the lore introduced in fallen order adapted into its own thing.
The script for DOTF is available online, it mentions nothing about the Zeffo.
@Axiom Steel It’s the Colin Treverrow (spelling?) script for episode nine.
Great video. Found out a lot about the Zeffo from it.

Thank you for actually making an informative explanation video about the Zeffo! Instead of just a stupid 'walkthrough' video of the character running around aimlessly, I had to go through way too many of those trying to find information about them / videos like this.
That does explain a LOT, no doubt about that.
Enjoyed watching this interesting vid about the Zeffo.

@@bencatzilla That's harder. Inquisitors are kind of accounted for, it'd be too risky masquerading as one because everyone sort of knows one from the next
@Bombastic Reminds me of the end of the 2nd season of Rebels.... all the Jedi and Sith were turned to stone and ash around the Sith Temple - a place of great darkness, just like Dathomir. Perhaps something similar was used by Kajit to kill all his enemies?
Hey bro, here after episode 6 of Ahsoka. Kujet is talked about in the runes on the temple on Peridia that Baylan and Shin see. We are about to see some Zeffo or Kujet in live action!!!
One of my favorite videos of yours Bombastic, thank you :)
The stone zeffo bodies who are in dathomir remind me of the Jedi in rebels in the scene where we saw Ezra holding the green crossgaurd lightsaber
*Eno Cordova was right about one thing,* we seriously NEED more Star Wars content NOT focused on the jedi or sith, there's literally TONS of unique Foce based traditions and perspectives on it to explore in the big wide galaxy. From ancient lost civilizations or orders to obscure clans and societies, from more familiar manipulations to ever so esoteric expressions of that mysterious life energy that binds everything there's virtually endless space for imagination and philosophical diversity!
Man I love these new lore videos that you make
@Bombastic Thank you for your hard work
I really enjoy your videos and your dedication to your upload schedule
4:50 Nice shot there Andrew, got some real selfie action going on there XD. Also, really interesting vid, I didn’t realise that the sage destroying the astriums killed all the Zeffo in the tomb
That’s not what killed them... he just used the astrium to do that and destroyed the others to make it impossible to access the vault, so that no one would learn about the sage who led some survivors into the unknown regions
That was a thoroughly enjoyable and well made video I’d love to see more
Love the videos Andrew thank you
"The great unknown" being the new galaxy that Thrawn and ezra ended up in? (there are sith runes that talk about Kujet in the TV show Ahsoka)
Fallen order 2 journey into the unknown regions to find the Zeffo
The fact that the Zeffo remains we see on Dathomir turn to dust at a mere touch reminds me of Malachor for some reason.
The remains of the zeffo look similarly to the reamains of ancient sith or jedi in one of the star wars reboles episodes.
WE NEED MORE VIDEOS LIKE THIS LOVE IT
00:32 The Zeffo clearly enjoyed dabbing
This might be my favorite video of yours
I would like to see more of the Zeffo story because that's interesting af
Fallen order 2 will most likely be set around finding out what happened to the prothians. I mean Zepho lol. Cal can't be going around interfering with anything to do with the original trilogy or it'll be weird and ret conning Luke being the last jedi. I think Cal will go where no one has ever been in search of answers, ans either die or resurface after ep 6
Luke said he won’t be the “last Jedi” to kilo ren so no not breaking cannon if he survived and started a family
Love this kind of video from you
Im literally scared watching this video
It was pretty dark and brooding, I know, but at least it was good
Prepare to Cry: Kujet and the Zeffo
Just realized that you talked about the dark past of the zeffo....
And then at the end of the video ran happily through their crumbling bodies 😂
I like the idea of your vidoes going more into more lore based topics jedi fallen order
4:32 The guy on the left invented the dab
oh noes
I would love to see more lore on the Zeffo
This has been one of the best videos I've seen. ( in my opinion)
UA-cam subtitles titles Kujet as Courgette and I am living for it.
I think it would make sense that they go to the unknown regions, the sage could pick several zeffo and attempt to rebuild the species away from the dark sages like kujet.
cool video man. subscibed
I think JFO2 will feature more of the Zeffo race and Cal´s search for them in a possible attempt to find them and possibly recruit some for a new Jedi Order
The Zeffo got Malachor fived, I think maybe Kujet got his knowledge of death from the ancient sith
The editing in this video was pretty good
4:33 the one in the left so be dabbin 🥶
The Zefos look a lot like the fallen worriers in Malacor
Superb. Many thanks
Kinda funny how the frozen Zeffo get Thanos snapped when you walk through them.
Alright, I need to say something. The Zeffo right? In the later movies it was revealed that Snoke was a genetic creation built by the sith by lord sidious, something that looked.. alien while also had human qualities. What if, now just hear me out. What if Snoke was just a crossbred abomination built as an imperfect clone of sidious. Built as a mistake that sidious said “eh, he looks cool. I’ll use it to help turn Ben solo to the darkside.” Thus, “my boy. I made Snoke.” Finally make sense. I’ve been trying to find a place to say this without people saying my little theory is stupid.
That’s a really good theory, good job.
Well Snoke seems imperfect and very well might be an attempt to make a new clone body for Sidious. But I don't it's true. So Snoke really doesn't seem to have a reason to exist
Nuff Mad that’s what I mean by it being a genetic mistake, like it was imperfect. I mean the “origin” of Snoke is that he just appeared one day to Ben. Who knows what his actual origins are!
Monarch Studios V781 I think sidious is half palps half attack helicopters 🚁.
@@atomcat_v6664 all we know is that Snoke was created in Exegol. Nothing else. And at this point I personally don't really care about him
Very interesting. Good video.
So the astrium Cal found was the same astrium that Kujet held in his hands once. That's cool
Just now noticing how the Zeffo species look similar to what weve seen the wills of the force look like, in clone wars yoda's last arc i believe.
Not really
I heard the Zeffo Sages voice and just thought
*clone*
First time i was on dathomir tomb and see that frozen zefo i just remember prometheus enginers and gears of war Hammer of dawn frozen in time people and that causes me a weird thing on my spine.
Man i love your videos
That’s crazy I just came across earlier today
Wow this video really messed with my megalophobia lol
The story reminds me of clone wars with the father son daughter, one who uses the dsrk side of the force, one who uses the light and such, I am hoping to hear more about the other 2 Zeffo sage's and hear what they thought and such
The only things I didn't like about the game was how the maps were confusing like on zeffo, the fact the storyline wasn't that long, and there was no fast travel system. But other than that it was an amazing game.
It weird because a game like this NEEDS a fast travel system and those meditation points seem perfect for that role, ofcourse you have to get to them first to unlock them but once that's done just let players use then to port around the place. That said oddly enough Zeffo itself was probably the least bad of all the planets, what with the ice caves sort of acting like a hub area that connects many of the major areas of the map through those lifts and ice slides.
When he gives the lightsaber to the night sister it looked just like mine the first time I did dat
So seriously though the faded mural on bogano, what planet is it? I can't find anything online anywhere lol...
i believe the “great unknown” is a planet that’s not on any map (there are some) known only by the zeffo. that sage took the non corrupt ones there to try survive and stabilise their race and not go extinct. i believe some zeffo are still alive on this planet but just unknown and we might see some of it or all of it it in jedi fallen order 2. this is just my theory
Hope we learn more out them in Jedi FALLEN Order 2
I hope we see more of the Zeffo. Either in The Acolyte, Jedi Survivor or Star Wars Eclipse
There was some sort of Zeffo machine in an episode of Bad Batch season 2, while its not directly stated because none of the characters know what it is. Its design language and blue energy armament match the Tomb Guardian aesthetic, but its a giant walker, very likely ancient Zeffo weaponry
omg i never noticed that the thing that happened to the stormtroopers on Kashyyyk was the same thing that happened to most of the Zeffo ... wow, i wanna play through fallen order again to see if i can find out more about that now...
What stormtroopers on Kashyyyk?

R.I.P The Zeffo people
Zeffo are cool
But have you heard the tragedy of the Rakatan Infinite Empire?
I really ilke the Rodian Jedi mod, any info about it? It's so clean.
Those stone statues of the zeffo crumble if you walk into them which suggests that they might not be stone but somehow are the zeffo themselves almost as though the dark sage had drained the life right out of them.
