This is so embarrassing but I’m actually tearing up reading all your comments. I tend to not put my work out there anymore because I get sick of people picking it a part. People will find anything negative to say. I love hair and it’s the biggest passion of mine and I felt so fulfilled filming and editing this video. I’m so happy to see how positively it’s being received too. It’s making me feel inspired to start showing more of my professional talent again.

I agree that this was amazing, and as a long time follower I like his content. But as a hair enthusiast myself, I sometimes hear him state some of his facts as more his opinions, which aren't always right, and you can tell he hasn't done any research to extend the knowledge on some of the topics he's educating us about. That does probably disturb some of the people with the specific hair types he is misinforming about. But no one can deny that he is a great hair stylist that is very knowledgeable on hair and hair color and has to me as someone who has cut and colored my own and my friends hair for the last five years, taught me a lot!

Whenever someone is very successful (usually more successful than the other people -aka other hairstylist on UA-cam in this case-) people just expect them to be perfect.
“They made this one mistake at x time, therefore they suck!”, “Why is the better hairstylist y not more popular!”
The thing is, there’s always gonna be people that are better than ANYONE. So of course online it’s gonna be more public, people have an easier time comparing so they just think “if this person is better why are they not more popular?” When the answer is really not that difficult. A lot of success, even though you need skill for it, is a lot of just pure luck, and some charisma as well. He got lucky and got more popular AND more people like his personality. It doesn’t mean he’s the best, but it doesn’t mean he’s horrible.

ikr! I've had people tell me a real stylist wouldn't use 30 developer for bleach since it's too strong but here's the thing... the olaplex weakens it to a 20 ANYWAY so it makes perfect sense to use the 30 (especially for application on the length of the hair where it's going to need the most lift). He's doing everything right!

Everything about this was so fascinating to watch. The end result is so so beautiful and healthy. There is no doubt you know your trade; direct anyone who says otherwise to this vid. And that blonde suits her so much! She rocks brunette and obliterates as blonde. Going to watch this again when I moan about having to bleach my roots to remind myself how awesome it looks when it is done. Which, is also thanks to you - my sister who isn’t a hair dresser picked up all the tips for bleaching from you and I get comments and questions about who does my bleach all the time because it’s that good.

Her brunette hair was fine. She really needs different shades(tones?) of brown though in there to give it depth. Her hair looked flat because it was one shade of brown which unfortunately can happen with us brunettes. But since he did a root shadow with her blonde hair it looks more vibrant. Not flat or one dimensional. She looks good either way. Now I want to see a video with him making someone look more dimensional with brown hair.

If I could ever convince myself to grow out my pixie cut, this would be my dream hair. I've literally tried to find wigs like that look like this.
    This blonde is so luminous.

Brad is THE POOH!! I am about to knock my dark locks down from a medium brown to white so I can have my silver tone back. My journey only includes Brad. I have loved you for many years now and you have never failed me or my hair. I wish I knew you personally Brad. I can't imagine doing my hair without your advice and just hearing your voice makes my hair sessions so much better.

Yes! I'm amazed, I have to do at least 2... To get it up high enough,.. Id love to know how to do it all at once without damaging, ... I'm sure it's bc he's a pro,.. technique, foils, quickness, timing, product, developer, just knowledge, but I see that it IS possible for dark hair, not have to bleach twice!!!
Hers looked great after one time! Also virgin hair, and depending on the person's hair, some is stubborn, tends to go more orange, brassy, my hairdresser, 20 years taught me a lot...mine can take the process, but it's also stubborn,
Each hairdresser will know your hair over time.. I guess the last I in this video, her hair can take it, plus he used olaplex to protect, strengthen I Guess, my hairdresser used it too
They do all sorts of things we don't know .
I kept hearing him say double process "" and was confused, wondering if that meant longer lightening time, or a second process, was this just a regular bleach and tone?? That part confused me
But, he did an amazing job getting her to beautiful blond in one time!!! 😊

Brad Mondo- the godfather of hair. I would do ANYTHING to have Brad do my hair. I have enough hair for like 3 people and it takes stylists like 4 hours to put foils in my hair. It never turns out how I want. I’ve learned so much about not ruining my hair from Brad now I can make myself as blonde as I want without frying my hair! Thanks Brad!

My mom was a cosmetologist for 20+ years. I grew up in her salon, always asking questions (and stealing her leftover lightener to do experiments on my own hair). Your technique reminds me so much of watching my mom do hair. She loved color and bleaching, and I did too. You did a beautiful job on her hair.

Do you know if it is any less damaging to go blonde (not even this light but a honey pale blonde) with two bleach applications spaced out? I thought you are not meant to double bleach like this

I wondered why they made us take a psychology course in cosmetology and other than what I was told this gives much more insight I feel like a hairdresser /stylist demeanor and tone sets the mood for the client and although you’re teaching us doing this I bet it made her feel so safe and calm and you could see she just trusted you with every fiber of her hair !!! She was so confident in you because you have a confident knowledgeable personality and excellent mindset while going from step to step. Wonderful and absolutely brilliant video !!!😊

I am not a professional hairdresser, but I have double processed my hair a few times, and I have done it pretty Similar to how you did in this video, except 2 differences. I do not use foil, and I use Ion Perfection Booster instead of Opalex. It comes out like that! I would like to mention that I do have over 50 years of experience of doing my own hair, I'm sure that helped me get to how I finally got it to look just like your video!
