@@FirewynnTV exactly, that's leaning into the color pie for what a certain color does best. Untapping with 6 lands on turn 3 so you can play Kona and maybe be able swing or tap him is way different then untapping on turn 3 with Kona and annihilator eldrazi already on the board ready to swing.
For Lord of Pain according to the Magic Oracle. If it comes down to a 1v1 and another player casts their first spell Lord of Pain will deal that damage to you. The "another target player" is referencing another player other than the one that casts the spell. So sometimes might deal damage to yourself.
For Rendmaw, two cards that are really good for punishing players for having your birds are Hylda's Crown of Winter and Pygmy Kavu, these cards let you draw for EVERY bird in play and a little bit extra if opponents played into them
Fun fact with Standstill in The Master of Keys section of the video, If you transformed Heliod The Radiant Dawn to Heliod the Warped Eclipse, and force the activation of Standstill on your turn all your spells would cost 9 less colorless mana to cast. If Standstill goes off on an opponent's turn with Heliod you would still get a huge 6 colorless mana discount.
@@ramonfigueiredo4995 Don't get me wrong I wouldn't say play around this specifically. However since the flip side of Heliod gives all your spells Flash and a discount per opponent's draw you can flash out really nasty enchantments like Decree of Silence, Omniscience, One With The Multiverse, etc.
Lotus, vault and Dockside were banned because they are simply too fast for commander. Don't worry they will make a cEDH format or something, that or if you play with friends, just rule 0 things. Just don't expect us to go along with your lists at the LGS.
I’m building a Mindskinner deck (I know. I’m that player) but I think blade of selves is a good card to add. Just help speed the clock up a little if everyone is milling 30 a combat.
I built a winter deck with Altanak and 19 say its name cards and a bunch of other delirium matters cards as a Beetlejuice deck and i think it's gunna be awesome! my playgroup doesn't mind "rule 0" decks so i'm looking forward to playing it.

A fun way to build the jolly balloon man which is what I'm going to do is load the deck with threaten effects. Steal your opponents commanders make a copy choose to sacrifice the original and then hit your opponent in the face with the one one balloon copy of their own commander
i pulled that copy of winter and i imediately was like, i gotta make a deck with him. granted i didnt go all in on the discarding, and im using it more as disruption to be able to build some big creatures with counters

I disagree with your assessment of Winter, I think he's a super fun group hug commander... If you build him right. And he's also the best place to jam Tempt with Discovery, reminding everyone at the table that Reliquary Tower & Bojuka Bog save them from my delirium. You also run things like Burning Inquiry & Rankle's Prank. The next big thing in building Winter for Politics is that Winter has 2 triggered abilities worth copying. You can offer to lift the delirium yourself by escaping a Nethergoyf or a Kroxa OR EVEN Underworld Breach.
still no love being shown for Yawgmoth Terror Eater. yea hes 9 mana but its mono black so its easy to get him out by turn 4 (even without jeweled lotus) and you can just steal EVERYONES spells on your turn.
9 mana for a 9/9 you would need a lot of ramp in mono black and those are what colorless artifacts like hedron which is 4 mana thran dynamo sol ring ancient tomb and other large mana sources

You need to reevaluate your thinking if you believe it was just the rules committee that made this ban. Wotc and Hasbro had their hands all over this ban and was probably talked about for a long time. Hasbro is a billion dollar company and commander is their baby. Something more insidious was at play with these bans.
The new bans have shaken my confidence in the format and the product to the core. Never once have I seen any of the mana cards cast and stopped having fun or auto lost.
Who cares about RC when their list is trash? Just keep the cards in the deck, nobody cares actually. If someone blames you for playing a Crypt while playing Sol Ring, just hint him that this list is a suggestion and not an official list from wotc and that rule zero exists.
We already don't want cEDH decks in an EDH pod... It's likely time to make it a different format. No ban list in cEDH, everyone go nuts. After 6 months, evaluate the health of the new cEDH format and ban accordingly. This gives these newly banned cards some of their value back, opens up a whole new world of deck brewing for cEDH players, and would lower the ceiling on deck power in EDH by maintaining/expanding the current banned list without upsetting the cEDH community.

RC next update : Due to the explosive play and the accumulated threat with Kona, rescue beastie and sol ring on turn 2 we decided to ban it. We have a goal to make it easier for players who enjoy slower, more social games to have an environment for them to explore. Occasional games like that are fine, but it shouldn't be common, and we're taking steps to bring that frequency down a bit by banning Kona, rescue beastie. We hope you understand it.

Brother, chill. This is gonna be the thing people are talking about for actual months, maybe years, in MTG. It's probably for the best they gather their thoughts and then put them to the masses without putting down a gut reaction. They posted on Twitter/X about their being an emergency announcement, so they are talking about it. Not everything is a conspiracy
