Q:) Remotely working user can not login remotely his office desktop. That desktop is not in your office, they gave you host name of the workstation. What is your troubleshooting step?

You have to.connect to a VPN first then try to connect to hostname. If not ping the hostname and get the ip then try to rdp in. Make sure Rdp is allowed on the machine along with the user's name.
im new to IT , just got offered a tech support job.. its tech support for terminals... would it be a easy transfer to help desk or does tech support come after help desk?
@@KevtechITSupport thanks kev, they said its "tech support" for pay terminals... but it seems very misleading. theres not much computer/ software support. was going to leave a big company for this small one just to get my foot in the door. i technically have no experience and they were quick to want to offer the job. idk lol

Sup sup Kev, how often is FTP and RDP used percentage wise...like is it used 50% of the time, 10% of the time.
Rdp used a lot and ftp is rarely used. I would say most people use rdp on Citrix which is probably 80 percent of the time.

Depends what your doing in the job. Job titles can be misleading and you won't be doing a lot in some roles. Nice job btw.
