    i literally just had an interview, and one of the questions was "what would you do if everyone reported problems at the same time. Then he asked, what if everyone said theirs was highest priority?"
    lol
    another question was "a user reports they cant connect to the network, what would u do?" i told him all the main stuff like maybe there's no internet connection, account lockout, stuff like that. then he asked me "what if those arent issues, theyre connected to the internet, but still are having issues connecting to the network?"
    i stayed there speechless bcus i didnt know how to solve it. then after a moment of not saying anything, the interviewer goes "if u cant find the answer to the issue, you should probably use google or go through the ticketing system to see if anyone's resolved it in the past. and if that doesnt work, give it to a higher position guy"
    im sitting there thinking, "google??, are u serious??" lmao

    Just helped me as I had an interview 5 minutes before I saw this video today. They asked me the same 3-tier problem and I nailed it. Thanks Kev!

    I really appreciate your expertise in interviews, I recently bombed an interview by not being well prepared and was using "definitions only". I am confident using your videos will help me go far! Thanks Kevtech

    Great video. The question I just had on my interview was similar. They said "4 things went wrong at the same time. 1. The internet for the entire office was down. 2. The HR lady cannot print a document. 3. Someone hands you their laptop and says it won't turn on. 4. The CEO tells you that he cannot locate a file. " I answered it all correctly expect I messed up the order. I figured the internet for the office being down was the priority, but I am supposed to help the CEO first no matter what, then the HR, then the internet, then the user. For the internet they asked what I would do, so I said "Since it is everyone, see if it is the switch or router. Then I would check with the ISP, and help them troubleshoot the Demarche with a smart jack." and that was the right answer because apparently that exact thing happened a few days ago and it was the ISP that was down for a bit. They didn't go further into how they would remedy that or if they just had to wait it out. I remember with my CompTIA training they said to have redundant routers with redundant ISP's, but idk if that is overkill in most office environments.

    Hey Kev, so multiple always scares me a little..but this question is more of a sideline question..but have you ever been insulted by a co worker and how do you deal with it?

      If a someone insults you at work than it's best to ignore them. Now if there messing with work or physically giving you issues than you report it to the manager.

    What is Help Desk Support level1 and what is level 2?

    • @KevtechITSupport
      @KevtechITSupport  3 роки тому +1

      Depends on the company. Some companies have level 2 as someone who handles different vendors and can image computers and have more access to active directory.
