I love seeing your progress, Charles! Way to listen to your body and cut your workout short when you weren’t feeling it. I’m at least 30 (or maybe 50) pounds from maintenance, so I look forward to learning from some OG folks like you! 😉
Excellent update. I have just finished 4 months on 7mg of Rybelsus…down 54.8 pounds. These medications really help, but I am really putting in the effort in regards to exercise and being very mindful of my diet. Thanks again
55 down! That’s amazing! I’m glad to hear that you’re putting in the work. That vital for success and continued health improvements. Keep it up and thanks for watching! 🙏🏽
With the snacking… maybe get some protein snacks, like the protein chips or a slim Jim, or cheese. That way you don’t feel guilty about having a snack and it will fill you up quick. Just a suggestion.
Thanks for the comment! I definitely have all the healthy snacks, both at home and the at the office. My issue with food noise is overriding cravings for crackers, chips and especially sweets. So I’ll forgo my healthy snacks and go grab or buy something that isn’t.
oh wow. That’s a tough one maybe it’s your bodies way of saying you are not feeding it enough calories. But to be honest I have no idea. 🤪 I’m just trying to be helpful. I can’t wait until I make it to the maintenance stage. Hopefully you figure it out soon, so you can help us when it’s our time. Good luck 👍🏽
Nope. Definitely getting enough calories. This is more akin to the experience I had with cravings before the meds. It’s just not as all consuming and I’m able to pivot. I think this is just more of a function of me dropping from 10mg straight to 5mg. I probably should have stepped down to 7.5mg first. We’ll see what happens when I move back up next week. I appreciate your thoughts. I’ll figure it out!
This is an amazing update! Glad you had a good week and typing to balance all things. You’re taking control and finding great results. I need to take some of those vaccines too (being a particular age), but I need to plan for the side effects as well. Thanks for sharing your story and being smart to listen to your body. Semoralin? What’s that? Injectable? How often? Something to add during maintenance?
Sermorelin is a synthetic HGH med, that helps the body restore/increase its HGH production. It can be either an injectable or a sublingual. The one I have is sublingual. Touted benefits are increased lean muscle mass, fat burning, skin elasticity, improved metabolism, etc. My prescription calls for use 5x per week, Mon-Fri. It could be added prior to maintenance
Continued great progress. I’m very interested in how to navigate maintenance. As ex-college athlete, I’ve stepped up my workouts again, especially strength training. After 13 weeks, I’ve already lost slightly more than 60% of the weight I wanted to reduce. So, I’m headed to maintenance likely over the next 2 to 3 months. I’ll be very curious and following how you navigate the medication down and how you navigate different eating choices for the future other than on special occasions.
I definitely think, that for me, dropping down to 5mg was the move for me. Alternatively I would have stayed on 10mg and gone every other week. I do think that instead of dropping directly to 5mg, I probably should have gone down to 7.5mg for a month. Maybe that would have given me better food noise control.
@@RoundMoundofZepbound Thanks for sharing your success blueprint. After a lot of reading and listening to many stories on UA-cam, it’s appearing to me that the folks who succeeded at maintenance wall, reducing the medication do so with a combination of keeping up the exercise, especially strength training, and going low-carb, not all the way to keto but a fairly thoughtful low-carb approach.
By the way, what is that additional medication that you are taking that helps reduce fat and keep up your muscle mass? Is it prescription or over-the-counter and how does one get it?
It’s called sermorelin. It is a prescription. My prescription calls for using jt 5x a week (Mon-Fri). It comes in a injectable format or a sublingual. I have the sublingual. It’s supposed to induce your body to produce more HGH and help with lean mass development, metabolism, skin elasticity, fat burning, sleep, etc.. So we’ll see. I got it from IViM. Not sure where else it can be acquired.
@@RoundMoundofZepbound I have read about the combination of Zepbound and testosterone supplements having positive effects on each other. Have you looked into that?
@@RobertB-w1j I haven’t personally but it makes sense. I know Lilly bought BioAge in order to pair their azelaprag with tirzepatide to increase lean muscle. I believe they are in phase 2 or 3. Same concept I suppose
You choosing the lasagna and eating half is the perfect example learning how to eat from taking the drug. Have you still not found your brand zepbound?
Still learning! Yes I was able to finally get 3 boxes of 10 a few days ago. Gonna continue on compound for the time being to give myself a buffer from the shortages since the brand meds have a longer shelf life.
Glad to see a men on Zepbound reporting there progress
Great job! Excellent tips for maintenance. Thanks for sharing! I’ll definitely come back to these videos once I get to maintenance/goal weight.
Thank you so very much! 🙏🏽
