On 1/4/24, my starting weight was 282.2 with a goal to hit 225 one day. Everything you experienced and had as well. At this time, I’m at 222.2 and wifey is saying “please stop because winter is coming”. LOL. I feel great! The only item that surprises me is that your BP is considered low because I was experiencing dizziness on several occasions until my Cardiologist reduced my BP meds. I’m hoping to one day get off them. Currently waiting on my sleep apnea test to see if it improved. I’m currently in maintenance (5mg).
So glad I found your channel! I've been doing low carb for 5.5 years, lost 77 pounds but then stalled and gained about half back. I had the lap band in 2004, lost over 100 pounds but as well gained a lot of it back. Zepbound is a game changer! The food noise is gone!🥳
RMZ-- in my opinion, you’re doing God’s work by sharing your experiences. You are empowering men (including men of color) to take charge of their life. You have you touched on the WL and you’re doing amazing.. you’re literally vanishing every video, but you’re talking about things that impact all men. If we don’t have issues like prostate, metabolic dysfunction, diabetes, etc, we know someone who has. This touches home for a lot of us. Thank you for sharing your regimented workout routine. You were DETERMINED to get it and showed the discipline to get after it. I would only imagine you didn’t feel like getting up at 0400 daily to do it, but you did it with your body fighting you all along the way. You have basically told us.. NO EXCUSES. Get after it. Thanks for that. Please continue with this series. You are making a difference. I am seeing more and more content creators ringing the clarion bell for men of color to GET HEALTHY and take care of themselves.
Thank you so much my friend and thanks for inspiring and pushing me with your unyielding support! I hope these videos can spark action few others into actions to look into these medications!
Wow, I have been following you and we have exchanged on your channel. This is by far your best and most powerful video. So very good! As for me, I also was a former college athlete. While I did not fall into the very bad habits that drive excessive weight gain, mine was more a slow creep of weight gain up over three decades. Since low-carb used to help me in the past, I thought that was again the answer in a stricter way. I could not move the needle anymore with just low-carb. So as soon as ZepBound was approved for weight loss, I checked in with doctors, they were positive for me to give it a try. I use a compounded version and I’ve lost 34 pounds in 14 weeks. I am 13 pounds away from my original goal weight. But I think I am going to adjust my goal down perhaps another 5 to 10 pounds. I too have combined the medication with strength training and cardio on a consistent basis, as well as an elimination of simple carbohydrates, sweets, sugars, and excesses. so far, I have not lost any lean body mass. My reduction is almost all body fat. What you are saying in recommending is the combination: these medications, strength training with cardio, and better eating habits. Great video !
Thanks for watching! Congratulations on being down 34! That should be celebrated and I’m sure you will once you get to goal. You’re so close to it! This medication has been a game changer
Sorry, I don’t think I fully understand the question. I’ll take a stab at answering though. I think you’re asking is Zepbound semaglutide. The answer would be no. Semaglutide is the active ingredient in both Ozempic and Wegovy. It is a single agonist mimicking the GLP-1 hormone. Tirzepatide is the active ingredient in Zepbound and Mounjaro. It is a dual agonist mimicking the GLP-1 and GIP hormones.
@@dionrasberry2409 I do. I’ve never tried Ozempic/Wegovy but others that have, have stated that the side effects tend to be stronger. This is because it is entirely GLP-1. Zepbound is a dual agonist, mimicking both the GLP-1 and GIP hormones. However, it is mostly GIP with some GLP-1. So the side effects may be the same types, they aren’t as strong. Also, Zepbound typically leads to more weight loss as shown by the clinical trials.
Bro, I need to tell my story because I started a week before you and lost over 60 lbs.
Yes, please do! Would love to hear it and congratulations on being down 60! 👏🏽👏🏽

Thanks for the motivation! Please keep the content coming! Would you share your daily caloric intake? Thanks.
Thank you! I’m running about 1,800 to 2,000 calories a day with a protein goal of 140-150g

I'm thinking about getting the shot at my next doctor visit next week, I think they just give semaglutide. Is Zepbound?
