This video was amazing thank you so much for taking the time to make it! It’s daunting getting into this stuff, especially when you’re jjst handing it off to a tuner to to mess with everything. Cheers!
Very nice video, you make it easy to understand what you can do as a tuner to understand you engine and driving performance. I’m sold on the Link product. i have an idea, would you make a video to show all your sensors on your car that are wired in to create all this information, that would be educational engineering!!!
Thank you so much for sharing this info. 🙏. I just installed itb’s on my 3sge swapped 86. (I thought your starter sounded familiar haha) And I am using a link altezza g4x ecu to tune with. Your video is super helpful in learning how to tune with a link ecu.
Hi. Did you buy a Can Lambda 02? What happened with me was the guy who sold me the itbs and manifold gave me the tune file from his G4+. I just then hit the road with a Link Can Lambda hanging in the headers and spent hours turning the fuel map. There is also a quick tune feature in pclink under f10. I used this heaps. I left the ignition map alone. I guess what I'm saying is the 600 dollar can lambda was a win. Last thought I killed a couple of o2 sensors along the journey. The 40 dollar aliexpress sensor does the same as the Link one. If you join FB group Lotus 7 nz or 3sge nz it might be easier to communicate that on UA-cam. The Link nz support forum (non FB one) is amazing. The paid guy Adam W responds with such knowledge. Hope this helps.
Tyler my email FB name is Rex Short or Rex Short Computer Services. Send me a friend request or pm and I'll give you my link tune file and you can pinch all the vvt tables and ignition tables and oil pressure ignition cut tables. So many people helped me I am happy to help you. My email is rex@rexshort.co.nz
Just curious how you fill out the whole fuel table rev range on WOT as it accelerates pretty fast so you don't get to see what value each cell has (to adjust)....
Some places on the table you will never reach while driving. Like 6000 rpm at 0 throttle or 100 % throttle at 800 rpm as examples. So I just smoothed those numbers to make the table look good. The goal is a nice Hill side looking table with no crazy high peeks or low valley's as the motor would not as for a certain amount of fuel in one Cel the 70% more in the Cel next door. I drive a lot with a can lambda and the logging turned on and the closed loop correction tuned off. Then I sit at the table and add fuel where it needs it and take it away where it is to fat. Mine is a 3sge beams with itb's and I target point88 lambda (12.8 afr) under heavy load and about point 95 lambda or 14:1 under light loads. You don't have to be so acurate. It you are a little lean or right anywhere you might loose 2% hp. Doubt you could feel it. Hope this helps. Tell me about your setup.
Hi want to ask if my linkg4 haven start the check engine light blink after start just maintain check engine light normaly how to clear it can we remove battery
I have a G4X. Download the link tuning software on a laptop and plug it into the link ecu w a USB cable. Then connect to the ecu with the tuning software and there's an option to clear fault codes
Bloody good Rex.
Simple explanation and to the point.
Very informative

That’s awesome, i will look you up on Facebook.
how do you set up all the sensors like that in a display you show at start
Thanks
