FINALLY took the time to install my engine guards today. Similar to you, some futzing was required on the left side to get everything all lined up. I like them :) I ordered black for my 2022 same color as yours. Your video was a good reference +++
Ordered off Amazon. Ktm product. Wheel stand recommended to keep bike level while working. Didn’t really say in instructions why. I just used jack and block of wood to hold the engine from moving too much since these are the motor mount bolts that hold crash bars. Wheel stand not necessary to install
Hey there, do you know/remember the thread size of the thread's that need to be cleaned? Is the bolt larger than the M10 taps you had in your kit? Likely M12 threads? Also, in the event of a tip over, do you think these guards will prevent the radiator from making ground contact? Thx
I believe it is m10 just a different thread pitch then the ones the kit came with (1.25-1.5 m10). Yes the bars look like they will protect radiator if it falls against flat surface. But a curb or something else higher could sneak up in there. With bars at full lock it looks protected. Thanks for watching. Let me know if you have any other questions. More videos soon🤣
@@daysofdukes2394 Thank you. My kit has the same M10-1.25 and M10-1.50 as yours. Only other option is a finer thread M10-1.00. Just ordered a M10-1.00 tap on amazon Prime for $9 . Tap will arrive Monday and bars on Tuesday. We shall see...
@@daysofdukes2394 Got my guards today. The bolts and engine guards are M10-1.50 pitch threads. They just were cut rather roughly by the factory. They probably cut thousands of times before swapping out cutting tools. I both tapped the guards and ran the bolts thru a M10-1.50 die. Threads like butter :) Just some FYI for others...

Awesome. Glade to hear. Happy it helped someone 👍👍. I also am like these bars. Going to put the rubber blocks on outside just to protect them too🤣🤣
Wait, they make rubber blocks for the engine guard?? ?I'm definitely looking up where to very those now@@daysofdukes2394
Teamwork 😎💪
Yessir. Thanks Robert!!
Did you use the spacer on the left crash bar near the shift lever?
Spacer is on brake side
Nice video...by the way what is the exact size of the 2 bolts?
Sorry don’t have that info
Ty for the video very informative.. I had a few questions tho
Thank you 🙏 Sure what’s up?
@@daysofdukes2394 where did you get the bar and what is the purpose of having the bike lifted while this is installed?

@@daysofdukes2394 ty sir I look forward to your channel growth!
I bought a bike with these fitted but want to remove them. Do I need to source the original bolts?
Yes… they are shorter

Do you think you could sit on the bike and rest your feet on those crash bars in a video? I'm thinking they may be good to use for highway riding.
The next video we will put that in there , however looking at it I don’t think it will be as comfortable as it may look. We shall see👍
does it provide any protection for the plastics or just the engine?
I actually haven’t laid it down to see but I would imagine it’s more for engine. Might help though but can’t be for certain
Made In India Bike
it will bend the frame in a crash
How so? I feel like that would really depend on the situation, speed, area of Impact. Mainly trying to protect motor case if dropped
