Aside from the rotor going the wrong way, and the MMS going bonkers. :) Super awesome model. I am watching this for two reasons. I flew the 58D and I lived in those townhouses!
The scale on the blades is wrong. They use the same blades as the Bell 407, in fact this aircraft in Bell's catalogue is the Bell 406. The model's blades are too wide. I know because I worked on it in the US Army for years.
@@ImpendingJoker Hey joker hope your well, I suppose scale is the incorrect word, I mean in general it looks like a Kiowa. I am not a r.c enthusiast but I am definitely someone who will compliment people at times when I see their hobbies. Best wishes and thank you for your service, Happy thanks giving 🙏
@@ImpendingJoker thanks for your response. The idea here is to get as close as possible to the real thing. unfortunately, rotorblades have very limited designs available for scale helicopters. there are some guys who fabricate their own main rotorblades but that is not something i am skilled at doing enough to try so i do the next best thing which is to use the closest to ideal baldes for flying.
Actually had two of these (the real thing) aboard the ship I served on while in the Persian Gulf. It was a temporary detachment that worked along side our SH-2 Seasprite that was with us.

@@cyborgbadger1015 yeah man. I'm spoiled to Quads now and I might be able to classify my conclusions on the issue to hypersensitivity. I don't guess it will matter on an aircraft thats flown line-of-sight. I depend on a jello-free camera feed for navigation.
What a great piece of machinery indeed. The FLIR is just for show? I actually thought in the beginning it was like a drone quadcopter camera. Might be an extremely useful rarity?
Is there an actual Camera inside that "Kiowa"? It would be incredible if you made it to function just like the real deal, have a standard and IR cameras inside the ball, and be able to control the direction of the ball independently from the rest of the Copter's controls!!!! Great work so far!!!!
There is a separate shaft for that coming out from the very center of the rotor shaft and that shaft does not have any link with the rotor shaft it's independent
Can`t he fly? And is that round alien above the wings a camera? Can you make Videos or photos with it? But i think altogether looks it real great. - Kimberly forever. Hope you have a video with that Kiwoa in flying situations.
Hahaha. I was about to comment that the rotor blades were spinning the "wrong" way. But. That aside. This is a great model. I've got many hours in this aircraft. Well done!
awesome!! But I will say this.. those guys look a little too big for that scale... the Kiowa is based on the Bell jet ranger... and crew look a lot smaller in real ones. But still a kick a$$ model you have here! Awesome job!
Maybe, like me they are seeing it for the first time. Listing old videos It something that youtube does. One example, if you have a UA-cam search link and if you click on it many youtube video thumbnails popup on the page and some videos are more than a year old. Being it's a year old, how did you come across this video? .
Nah way too quick for a real turbine - its an electric motor with a clutch inbetween. Still sounds and looks awesome, like the real deal where the turbine has to get up to a certain speed before the clutch/rotor system engages!
You can install what is called Mr Rc sound that can give you all kinds of real sound such as turbine, radial Ect and it will work in unison with your throttle on the transmitter
No way is this only 2k, that's about what a basic pod and boom heli that size costs, mine average 3k plus. You can easily double or triple + that cost when you go scale like this. I bet he has at least 5-8k in this one.

This is insanely detailed. You do great work Emile. This needs more views.
Thanks very much!
What kit is this from. Looks fantastic. Subed🤙
The scale and detail is spot on, I can recall a 58s flying overhead in 2004.
I'm glad I found this channel

The camera was so close to the rotors, I was praying it wasnt one of those videos... Great build! Keep it up!
Brilliant.. I like this video. Raw and as it is. Really cool. No added gimmicks. Thank you..
Your models are so beautiful.
Suscribed do suscribe back THANKS.
I wouldn't have been so brave to have filmed so closely especially on the same plane as that sawblade!
A crosswind pushed a friends helicopter into his back and cut him up bad in the 80's, always expect the unexpected.
Probably zoomed in from 30 feet away.
@@nw7696 As soon as throttle hold is switch expect the unexpected.
Pussy
Then one of your neighbors buys a scale surface to air missile and takes your eggbeater out of the sky.
lol
What a gorgeous model
Most people put up Christmas lights you put up a friggin OH58 Kiowa armed to the teeth.
Love your work. Please get a camera tripod. I flew airplanes for 45 years without ever getting motion sick... but the camera shake tumbles my gyros.
Man that's a nice sounding helicopter.i bet it's an expensive built.but Worth every penny

Thanks for your service @SouthernGent
I'd bet you have more money tied up in that Kiowa than I do in my Harley Sportster.
It isnt a turbine model its electric. Still expensive but not that expensive.
Your neighbours must love this.
If I was his neighbor, I would run outside every time just to watch
Need to track and balance the blades a little bit there.
How can you distinguish blade induced shake from camera shake?

i reckon it could've been resonance. it did'nt look (to me anyaway) like it was shaking throughout the rpm range.

Nice work! Beautiful. I’d love to see an Apache with the Longbow dome like you did. I don’t have a clue how you set that up but it’s awesome.
Super cool. One minor detail error, the main rotor should spin counter clockwise.
Awesome video very cool love rc s fun hobby
the flying skills were amazing !!!!!!!!
he has the auto hover on genius
Oooooh same guy thst had the Bell chopper on here, love your models
Perfect replica beautiful made, WoW
Why are the main rotors turning backwards?
Adding the clutch makes for a much more scale like spool up. Nice!
As the old adage goes ‘The only difference between a child’s toy and an adults toy is the price’. 😁😁. That’s so cool.
True also toys became exponentially more dangerous. This thing can probably cut through a person.

So how did you get power to the top. Does it have its own battery? Is the rotation on the top controllable on the radio?
Salut cool l’hélicoptère avec la caméra
Absolutely beautiful! 🙌🏼💯
Absolute perfection 🤩

Please link to where I can buy one. Beautiful bird. !!!

What a machine
xcell 60 converted to electric. funkey 600 size jetranger fuselage, i did the kiowa conversion myself
You have an alien above the blades, oh wait... that looks scary strange :)
Where do you get the parts to build it from????
Does the camera work ?
Does that camera actually work?
How is the 'radar' system mounted above not rotating with the Rotor assembly?? Serious question.
There is a separate shaft for that coming out from the very center of the rotor shaft and that shaft does not have any link with the rotor shaft it's independent

Do real Kiowa blades turn clockwise, or it just a thing with this model?

How cool is that?
It doesn't take off?
Do you build them or are they ready to fly?
Nice helicopter and all, but why would you EVER take your hands off the radio while its running?
No collective - it's not going anywhere..
is the scale 1/6?
I am lucky to be your 999 like
Where can you buy one of these?
How much is this?
Very nice

Change the playback speed to slow it down...it’s on your screen...
