Korn is a great band. Everyone knows it. But i gotta say, Chevelle is so underrated its crazy. They are SOOOO LOUD AND HEAVY. If you havent seen them live go do yourself a favor and see them. They absolutely face melt.
Chevelle is one of my favorite bands. But Pete's vocals is lacking. Seen them live as well. You'll be hard pressed to find any acoustic live version of their songs where the vocals isn't somewhat off.
Chevelle is literally one of the very few bands that don’t have any misses. Severely underrated, severely awesome. If you love alt rock or heavy shit with more melodic vocals, these guys are your go to. My favorite band. 10 Years is another great and underrated as fuck band.
Chevelle may be the most consistently excellent rock band, at least of my generation. With a few exceptions, each album delivers primarily the same material, but keeps it fresh and seems to get better and better. It makes my year every time we get new material.
Pete is a standup dude. I first met him on his 35th birthday by the bus at a show in Asheville. Knew some techs that got us backstage for everything at 2016 rebellion and was mesmerized watching his brother on drums. So neat to see brothers doing what they love and killing it, while staying true to themselves. See yall this summer at rabbit rabbit
Korn is one of my favorite bands, if not my favorite band of all time. However, I think if I really had to choose I would say Rush is probably my all time favorite band...I'm not the type of person to just pick one favorite band though because I like lots of different bands/artists.
I was so happy to see both Korn and Chevelle earlier this year!! These two bands made my preteen years the most memorable years of my life , Discovering one great song after another and having my brother or sister burn a couple of compilation CDs off the computer listening to them nonstop in my room late at night after being outside all day long in the summer with the neighborhood kids just goofing off
Chevelle deserves way more hype …..not one bad album and each one packed with tunes …… I hate they’re not huge but love that they feel like my best kept secret !!
I first heard Korn on MTV when they actually had music on there, but i seen No place to hide in 96-97, and really started getting into Korn whwn my neighbor gave me the first Korn record. Fast forward i got turned on to Chevelle in 2003. My friend let mw use his car to go somewhere and he had point #1 in the cd player, I've been a fan ever since..
Pete, the lyrics, emotion, intensity, passion, professionalism. And the guitar work, the body of guitar work. The tone, the endless collection of riffs, just goosebumps I still get. I will wear out every Chevelle album, skipping no songs whatsoever.
I've discovered Chevelle 13 years ago and since then these guys are with me. I can't count how many my life's twists were surrounded by their music, most of their songs are accociated with something good or something sad on my way. I value them a lot. Thank you for your art, guys!
I love these interviews. You do an excellent job. I liked when you did Heads Korner too or when people are interviewing you and you turn it around and start asking them questions. It becomes a conversation then.
Two bands I can always go back to when I need to change my mood. Two bands that give any activity energy. Spent many nights on deployment jamming out to Korn and Chevelle. Thanks.
Saw them both live in Fresno Korn headlining greatest hits tour with the original lineup. Chevelle was supporting and they just released this type of thinking could do us in. Chevelle crushed Get Some. Great night, great music.
Just discovered chevelle about 2 months ago. So far my get some is outstanding and i dont know why. Funny i feel the same with korn. Confusingly brilliant. Legends the lot of you..inc mjk of course.
I e met Chevelle a couple times. On both occasions Pete seemed like he didn’t want to be there… I get it, some people don’t enjoy all the bullshit that comes along with being in a rock band. Sam was a really cool guy both times, met Dean once about 10 years ago when he was with the band, very down to earth.
I never saw Pete do meet and greet with the fans after a show many years ago, I’ve seen them three times and it was usually just the drummer and bassist after the show with fans. I don’t blame Pete tho, some chevelle fans do uncomfortable cringe stuff
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘 I understand the tensions that can come about between band mates after being forced together for long periods of time. But I never thought about the cuts and bruises from your instruments from playing them night after night. That's crazy. Plus how bad the vocal cords can hurt bf a tour is even over. 😳 Props! I have even more respect❤💚💜💙💛🤘🤘🤘🤘
When I was a little kid.. like 10-13 me and my grandpa drove around all the time and I 100% ran the Bose stereo in his car. Had like fifty CDs in there. All I wanted to hear was Life is Peachy or Self titled. My grandpa was an executive CTO at a Silicon Valley semiconductor OEM. He loved Ball Tongue and Lies. I asked to have my hair like heads so he let me grow it out. Like.. you have no idea how important you are to my core memory. Thank you. Fun interview.
I'm so sad I missed Korn & Chevelle earlier this year, but will be catching both at Sick New World in Vegas! Great interview! I can imagine how hard it must be to be on the road so much. I was just thinking back to when my family and I went on vacation this summer, and we were grumpy after a week. lol
Hey Brian I know your probably to busy to read this and your far away but if you could ever play in Redding CA again it would be awesome. I missed you guys last time you were here. I do love Chevelle too. They got screwed by their lable. Every time I go to Bakersfield I go by the studio to see if maybe I can see you guys. I am a child of God and am so happy you are. It's the reason I still listen to you guys, not to mention I love your music. I had to let alot of bands go because of what they represent. God bless you and yours. Your movie hit home. I raised my kids by myself and thank God they are good boys (men). I have going on 6 years clean. God bless you Brian.
This was amazing, I love both bands so much and I’ve seen Chevelle live but not KoRn yet. I totally understood the part of validation and proudness from their older siblings. I do tons of art and my sister doesn’t say much about it but when she has guest over they always tell me how great my sister makes my art sound. It’s probably one of the best feelings to get validation from someone you look up to
I’m so glad the dudes in Korn seem to be doing well now. “Follow the Leader” is hands down the greatest nu-metal album of all time! Chevelle has so many bangers as well. Vena Cera is IMO their best album but they’re all at least really good.
Pretty cool a Missouri State shot made it in 🤘 Springfield Mo used to get alot of cool shows. I don't know what happened but there hasn't been any cool shows come through here in awhile
I don't know if you'll read this but it would be amazing to hear you talk about how you developed the guitar sound for live performances of Untouchables in the period between 2002 and 2004. I've always been honestly amazed by the brutality of that distortion sound and I've never heard anybody talk or discuss guitar sound specs going back to that specific time frame.
Korn is a great band. Everyone knows it. But i gotta say, Chevelle is so underrated its crazy. They are SOOOO LOUD AND HEAVY. If you havent seen them live go do yourself a favor and see them. They absolutely face melt.

@@Francoisdp82 Yea um hey bud, thats with basically any band who is super loud and heavy, this is nothing new.

Chevelle sounds so huge and they're basically 3 dudes. One of my faves.
Underrated? Hmmm
Chevelle always comin with those great Chunky guitar riffs and great songs
Chevelle is literally one of the very few bands that don’t have any misses. Severely underrated, severely awesome. If you love alt rock or heavy shit with more melodic vocals, these guys are your go to. My favorite band.

Thank ya 🤘
Yep Chevelle and Deftones
CheVelle. The best band of all time and my favorite since ‘02.
2 phenomenal bands.
Much appreciated 🤘

Two of my favorite guitarists sitting down chatting?? Is this real fucking life? Hell yeah!
This was so cool! Chevelle is one of my favorite bands; great conversation!

This is like being a fly in the wall listening to bands on tour
Sic. Chevelle is by far one of the most underrated bands ever. By far to this day still my fav band next to slipknot
Ugh 7 minutes is not enough for this episode! we needed more. This was awesome though!
omg a collab of two of my all time favorite artists. Freaking unbelievable
For real crazy !!!!
a collab? It was just two dudes talking.
same here man
@@Dick_Dynamite I’m not about to get into an argument with a guy on UA-cam. Idk what kind of free time you have, but I’ll pass
Collabe would be great but that's not what I got from it
Two great guys having good conversations. Love it, that's how it should be 🤘🤘🤘
Wish this interview was longer.

Chevelle and Korn great bands Chevelle is really underrated. They are such an amazing band
What a combination, Chevelle + Korn. I wish that they’ll come to Guadalajara Mexico
Huge Chevelle fan here, 18 years!
Two of my all-time favorite bands!!! Legendary.
Yaaay! Great to see you guys together!

Chevelle is so underrated it's insane
Wonder whats next is still one of my fav albums
Your interviews are simply awesome!! Never stop doing them.
Chevelle is one of the few radio rock bands on top of their game consistently
Wish they had got one more record with Steve Albini
I love these interviews. You do an excellent job. I liked when you did Heads Korner too or when people are interviewing you and you turn it around and start asking them questions. It becomes a conversation then.
Need to get the Iceman on one of these!
Great interview guys! 2 great God gifted Artist! Thanks for making a difference in our lives! Keep it up, blessings and Happy Holidays! ✝️🔥🤟
I love these kinds of interviews.
Two of my absolute favorites in any genre!!!! 👽🌽I was soooooo grateful to get to see you guys on that tour. 🤘🤘🤟
Dois grandes músicos! Muito bons no que fazem!!

No band hit my soul as like chevelle . Korn is good but dam chevelle can tap into parts of you that you didn't know exist
Just discovered chevelle about 2 months ago. So far my get some is outstanding and i dont know why. Funny i feel the same with korn. Confusingly brilliant. Legends the lot of you..inc mjk of course.

Seen them in Saginaw mi in march
Chevelle has had a lot of success in prior years but they're still not talked about nearly as much as they should be.

Popular opinion: Chevelle is a hugely underrated band!
Chevelle
Creed
Flyleaf
Skillet
Wonder what’s next album was my fave
6:07 riffs for you guys - (Pete plays a simple 2 note riff)
Someone: “Massive hit”
😂
No swearing, great talk
