@@rubenramirez1173 on the German Autobahn 100 mph is not a big deal. I had my modified G30 M550 up to 300kph/187mph. Anything above 140 mph in my opinion was moving. Minivans there are doing 100mph all day long in the unlimited zones on the Autobahn.
@@ericthuku9731 manual transmission is better on automatics you can have problems with swirl flaps in the intake... rust on the back door (touring) and under side doors. They used very solid materials, glass and leather are thick and plastic parts are very durable... at all it's an unbelievably good car... cheap parts and freedom on the highway just for 4.999ml/100 km :D

It sounds really good, I think if might be the best sounding diesel engine and a very good sounding engine overall
mine is a 525d, same engine but 2.5l, and I can relate that it's a amazing car. bulletproof, good torque and amazing style for it's time. my fav BMW. hope one day I'll have the M5, e39 or e34. newer ones are not that interesting.

AutoptopNL drives way more responsible. This guy is pushing cars in front of him with less then 50m distance at 200kmh. I also often drive at high speeds on the autobahn. But @200kmh you should have at least a 100m distance to ur frontman. It is no problem to drive 300kmh or more, but people like him are the reason many (not the most) germans want a speed limit on the autobahn.

@@Infinite.Hatred Before post 2002, BMWs were pretty reliable, youd be surprised. It's jsut that after the e38 7 series everything relied too much on computers and as you know computers from the early 2000s don't age well.
Also everything was made with plastic after that and plastic gets brittle and old.
@@Infinite.Hatred I had two BMWs running without issues for several year, a 525tds e34 back in time, and my current e39 530d that runs fine despite the mileage. I'm just talking about my experience here, I understand that it might be different for other models ;)

Ich glaube eher, dass der Porsche bei der Sicht einfach nicht viel mehr als 200 Sachen machen wollte. Also bei aller Liebe, der m57 geht gut, aber das isn Diesel der dir ab 180 merklich einbricht, da gehts beim Porsche erst los.

True that! I currently own a E39 540i manual and in the past I had a S8 D2 manual, both have their advantages and disadvantages, but both are great cars.

M52 is very reliable also. Mine has 360k km on it and runs fine. ^^

BMW is the best. I had a similar Wagon 520 d year was 2000 and it kept going like a lion. I drove it from Texas to New Jersey without any issues. Great 👍 driving and excellent stability!!

Just recently drove a F32 440i. Can´t complain. It´s fast, handles well and the build quality is good.

Ich habe mir so einen E39 530D Touring mit Automatik in saphir-schwarz gekauft. 227Tkm auf der Uhr und man merkt es ihm nicht an. Damit ist mein Jugendtraum erfüllt 👌🏻
Very good car with a great engine. Had an e39 530d 5spd manual few years ago. Was fully stock and recorded 0-100kmh 6.6sec which was actually pretty quick for an almost 20yr old diesel sedan what got 5l/100km at highway.
Hahaha witzig, da wo du startest und Richtung Autobahn fährst, bin ich heute Nachmittag erst runter gefahren weil Stau auf der A99 war. Fahre übrigens den gleichen 530d nur als Schalter. Schöner Wagen :D

In the US it would not be a problem if drivers training would be like the training in Germany. Training in germany was also much simpler 30-50 years ago, but it got harder and more expensive but that helps to prevent crashes.

it sounds quieter on 200 km/h than previously tested Mercedes E class, is it?
Weekly Fails my e39 (no touring) is extremely quite even at 200km/h. One of the most relaxing cars i have ever owned or driven.
and pulls better at topend as well
the red riding hood Porsche driver was polite giving space for pass-by and also nice for the bmw driver to not try to gain the gap before the porsche approached the slower traffic, but nicely did let him come back on to the passing lane. Nice to see this kind of behaviour, its exactly how things should be, flexible and safe. Additionally, you could try another time of day to avoid traffic, especially when you attempt to reach top speeds.
