I took my sons to hear Mark in the early to mid 90's, when he put on a concert at our local fair. He stood and signed autographs for a very long time after his performance. What a great guy!
I also heard "Seminole Wind" by John Anderson and "Letting Go" by Suzie Boggus. There are probably a couple more but I can't think of them off the top of my head. But those three stand out. Thank you for the kind comment.
pocu321 i am glad that someone else can meet out of no where can meet and express the same feelings , God Bless. Even the man in the moon is still crying.

Mark Collie was always a very underrated country artist, in my opinion. I really liked his music, but it rarely got any airplay. I'm glad to see him on the show "Nashville" now.
If it rarely got any airplay, that explains it. It has a very 1990s sound though. As a 90s kid, I can tell. Good song, shame that it wasn't a bigger hit.
Troy Young Very true. He was very underrated but most people don't realize this song was a top 5 hit for him. It landed at number 5 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart back in 1992.
First seen him when I was like 7 or 8 in a small town called Princeton WV dude is a hell of a singer wish the stations would’ve played more of him one of my favorite songs. Btw dudes a good actor to he’s the sheriff on Landman on paramount damn good show.
***** I know it is just disgusting how a lot of the country artists have sold out!!! There is no country sound anymore!!! Very few and far country artists have that sound!! I was watching the voice and Shelton gave this a kid a song by Bad English and Blake said that song would be considered country music today!!! That just sealed it for me knowing how bad country has gotten
I had the privilege of playing in a couple of top notch country bands all through the 90's in Dallas. Got to open for a lot of Nashville acts. This was a staple song on our set list. In Dallas, we do the Texas 3 step to songs with this groove and there were plenty of them in the 90's. Best times of my life were those days. Nothing beats 90's country. Today's country sucks, I can hardly listen to any of it. I like Easton Corbin's stuff though. He's got the Strait twang.
This is one of the many great songs I remember from my childhood. Wasn't till I got grown and actually listened to the lyrics after I found it on UA-cam that he was singing about his daughter. It's like u can feel his heartache. I'm a full fledged metal head now but never lost or plan to lose my country roots bc that's what I was raised on. Lots of good memories tied to songs like this. Back when country music was still good
In the '90s, I saw Mark Collie open for Johnny Cash at a club in Manhattan. Towards the end of Cash's set, he invited Collie back out and they did "I Still Miss Someone" as a duet. Those were the days.
I saw Mark as the opener for Tanya Tucker at the Greek Amphitheater in L.A.in.92. He came out and COMMANDED the Stage , CHARISMA like ELVIS, LATER He came out did a Duet with Tanya it was MAGICAL. Both BANDS WERE KILLER. THANKX MARK!!!!!!
Loved dancing to this back in the day. Didn't know until today that he grew up with diabetes and has done a lot to raise awareness and donated to the same. A good guy!
I go wherever I can find him playing.. Last week it was Wilson, Arkansas.. Treats his fans like long lost friends.. The best.. He will have a movie with Billy Bob soon.. we hope,,

Absolutely still...
Still here! Only gets better with time.
Yeah man
Yep
This man was so gorgeous
Collie is one of the most criminally underrated country singer-songwriters of the '90s. Mad respect.
In the movies , he always plays a criminal.

Yessir, a masterpiece. The ladies and gentlemen responsible for this fantastic art are severely underrated.
I had no idea my man Bruce Hornsby contributed to this song! Now that I listen I hear his influence. Makes me like it even more.
Amen brother! If the music alone does not give you chills down your back theres something wrong with you.

I agree! Great!!
Mark is now killing it in Landman
I still listen to him in 2024 at the age of 64 what a great talent.

Enjoying watching him on Landman!!
Landman brought me here. Glad to see Collie still doing well.
