Take note of what your hearing here: The arrangement of this song is a nothing short of a tutorial on how to arrange a song...the percussion is absolutely incredible, one of the best drumsets in the history of the business, and then the killer closing with the great keyboard work, with the influence of Bruce Hornsby and the Range....absolutely incredibly advanced country song for it's day...a joy to listen to.

I haven’t heard this song in 15 years and it sounds like brooks and dunn completely ripped it off for “lost and and found. “. Is it me or is the majority of the song melody the same song with different lyrics?

Today's country isn't nothing but 80"s pop music dressed up as country. When was the last time you heard a steel guitar, or good 4 part harmony. It just doesn't happen today. It is about selling records, not music. Thank God for you tube.

I had the privilege of playing in a couple of top notch country bands all through the 90's in Dallas. Got to open for a lot of Nashville acts. This was a staple song on our set list. In Dallas, we do the Texas 3 step to songs with this groove and there were plenty of them in the 90's. Best times of my life were those days. Nothing beats 90's country. Today's country sucks, I can hardly listen to any of it. I like Easton Corbin's stuff though. He's got the Strait twang.

He is so cute. Saw a several times in Larson SC at the fairgrounds back in the day. Loved that time of my life. Wish I could turn the pages back. I would go back to 66 and 67 when I was in high school. Got to meet Marty Robbins at Daytona. We teens got to clean up for what money we found. Mr. Robbins gave each of us $20 a piece. That made my day. Had it not been for Jack Greene and Statue of a fool I probably wouldn’t of heard of classic country. My mom was a huge Marty fan and I too. I still am in love with Gene Watson.

The first time I ever heard Mark Collie, was in the early 90s. My wife (who was my sweetheart at the time) told me she was reminded of me every time she heard the lines,
"I wish this damned old Thunderbird could fly" because I had a 79 Thunderbird for the biggest part of our courting days. We've been married for nearly 30 years now and we still love to listen to Mark Collie.
What happened to the good old days and real country music. The crap they're playing now a days ain't even music.

I played this every night on the 100 watt 96.5 Fm WDOD in Chattanooga. Plus, I emceed a couple of his concerts and talked to him backstage at the June Jam. He had a really great band. I remember at one place there was a kid waiting to see the concert and wanting to play a video game. Mark’s bandmember Terry handed the kid that he did not know a bunch of quarters. I loved playing Mark on the radio especially this dong and Born To Love You and Hardin County Line. I played every release, but those three eere my faves and still are. Peace and love from Randy Black.

I can not remember where I saw Mark Collie for the first time. Just know I like him. The radio stations in Houston did not play him at all. So I can see where he is not known.
My favorite is LOOKS AREN'T EVERYTHING
