Finally, someone who syncs the secondhand’s on the watches they’re displaying. My OCD gets me every time when I see multiple watches with different secondhand times.
Thanks for the comparison. I recently purchased the Spirit 40mm after considering the Hamilton Khaki Murph. The dial on the Longines is much more elegant with its applied numerals and raised chapter ring. I also liked that it has a certified chronometer movement which is very precise. The strap on the Murph was terrible compared to the very comfortable calfskin strap that came with my Spirit. I love the understated elegance of the Longines Spirit which suits my casual/outdoorsy lifestyle. I also own a Victorinox Infantry watch, and the Hamilton Khakis didn't seem like enough of a step up from that. I wanted something special that I could wear everyday and the Spirit fit the bill perfectly.
Great video. I own the same Hamilton 38 and I also have had my eye on that blue Spirit, beautiful dial but I haven't pulled the trigger on it. And now that I found Hamilton has a blue titanium KF I'm not sure which way to go, but both are great watches imo.
What dial in the spirit do you have ? I have the 38mm auto Hamilton and keep thinking of the Longines how do you feel they compare ? What is more versatile and is the Longines worth the price difference?
I purchased almost new khaki field auto on bracelet for ~ 300$ usd. For this price I have no complains. Considering changing the glass for better AR coating, otherwise it’s really nice watch.
Ayy the video is here🎉 Thanks a bunch. I almost got the longines spirit 37mm in champagne but i can't shake off that it's very similar to the kfa38 that i already own in terms of the looks alone. But this video definitely helped me understand that the kfa38 on a strap really really holds its own ground well👍👍👍 Good comparison, how would you compare the lume and comfort on wrist as a daily driver? Also how well does the external AR coating hold up on the longines? Thanks a bunch
As an owner and fan of both brands, Hamilton isn't in the same realm as Longines. Longines is closer to omega than Hamilton to Longines. But for $300 bucks, Hammy gives you a lot
thanks for the comment. i love the Hamilton Murp 38 but unfortunately i don't have one. Personally i think the Murph 38 would compare well against the Seiko Alpinist because both use the cathedral hands.

Info on the strap you have on the hamilton ?
Both beautiful watches with different aesthetics. Very good, detailed comparison!

Agree with you. The Spirit does feel like a premium product.
si ma costa il triplo del hamilton.

Nice video, mate! I have both and I must admit, the Hamilton practically doesn't get worn anymore.... Although it's a fine little watch in itself.

@@daveLin104the black one. Longines definitely feels more premium. Better lume as well. It exudes more quality than the Hamilton, whatever that is.
Thank you very much for the comparison video. Also crystal diameter is a very important measurement. I wish more reviewers included it.
no worries. hope it's useful for our enthusiast circles. crystal diameter definitely does play a big part in the visual size of the watch

Apples and Oranges. Longines Spirit is on a whole another level
How so?
longines!
I think the Hamilton Murph 38 would probably be a better choice for comparison with the Longines Spirit.

Also, the Hamilton line keeps accurate time. The SEIKOs that I"ve owned keep a reasonably accurate date. @@sgwristwatcher3739
