Hi from the center of europe im doing turning, milling, scraping as a hobby for years despite im good at computers so what's nearer than now that i have bought a new conventional mill to transform my 3 year old metal mill to a 5axis CNC.. That's what im doing right now and im very thankful for your brilliant CNC content for learning this stuff.
You're a real good guy please never change....

You mentioned Baltimore. I went to school at the Community College of Baltimore County. This one college is the only half decent program that they have in the area to learn machining. It's been almost 5 years since I graduated the program and the curriculum hasn't changed much and they are still struggling to get young people interested. I attended the last advisory board meeting where it was a main discussion. I don't know why I am telling you this but you've been an inspiration to me from season 1 of your original TV show. Machining has changed my life for the better and I just want to see the school be more successful in getting young adults interested in trades again and it not be stigmatized or looked down apon compared to going to college. Idk well Happy Thanksgiving Titan to you and your family.

Love your videos titan, I'm a welder fabricator building fuel tanks for Cat, Cummins, MTU, Generac power gen systems but I've been around the block in manufacturing. Did some CAD, machining, and engineering classes in hs, I actually got a job senior year in a tool and die room at a die casting company, but I got bored with it. There was no challenge. I was a cnc operator for a little while but only swapping and deburring parts. Boring! I even learned some 2d and 3d programming, but I didn't have the vision in mind for an exciting future in the industry. You give people a vision and a challenge and a goal, and I love it. Keep it up titan, keep inspiring people, keep striving to live by and speak the truth. I hope you do great works to solve economic and spiritual problems in this country and worldwide. God bless you

Beyond excited for this to come to fruition. You've taught me the skills to elevate our shops skill level and capability and created a new division just from learning fusion 360 from your videos (we are a metal stamping company with a haas mini mill that nobody knew how to run. This taught me the capability and I got to use our machine to teach myself (family company) on the weekends) and now we are doing parts for large OE electronics companies not even 9 months later. Thank you.

My company have CNCs from DMG Mori. After the two were merged, their product lines are consisted of machines from DMG and Mori. It turns out the DMG machines are not as durable as Mori's. Finally, we returned the DMG and replaced them with Mori's. My company is the largest motorcycle manufacturer in Taiwan. Most CNCs are operating at 24/7 basis.

You're Crazy Good at bringing the CNC Facts to UA-cam, I love your channel BOOM! The US of A needs you so keep bringing your entertaining CNC Facts to the people.
I went from setting up New Britain Six spindle and Brown & Sharps Screw Machines to working on a Mori Seiki CNC SL3 then working as a Yamazen Sales Engineer selling Mori Seiki and starting my Job shop with the first CNC vertical machining center a Mazak Mazatech V-10 in the USA. That's enough about me, but you Sir went from bust to BOOM BIG Time. You, The Titan's of CNC made it happen in a BIG WAY, you care and share your CNC success story to bring manufacturing back to the USA, BOOM I love it, and miss working in the CNC world.

Great video (again), very interesting that you mention Inconel. When I first joined Rolls-Royce I was asked to program a 5 axis machine tool ( I think it was an Okuma), this was the combustion chamber of the new Trent 800 civil gas turbine engine made from inconel 625. The programming software was Exapt plus, must say this was a rather out of date system but it did its job. The sense of achievement that I felt when the part was finished machined and removed from the machine was incredible. The cycle time was around 16 hours on the machine as it was a complicated part with lots of excess stock material to removed. I hope that you can convey to your academy guys the same sense of achievement that I felt when created my first part-programmes. Keep up the good work!

I know exactly what you mean when you say machining saved my life. You testimony is absolutely incredible. Inspiration in my life for sure! I’m doing a lot of high speed graphite milling, programming and edm work for mold making. Just 3 axis stuff. I want to congratulate. Mr Titan
For wanting to expand CNC machining in the United States too Bad that American companies decided to manufacture abroad their metalic pieces ,i was born in Italy then we emigrated to Argentina and from them to Ecuador i gradueted in the American
High school then i went to study nuclear physics and mechanical ING at the university of Texas in Austin
Then i returned to Ecuador and continúed to study ,i worked in. Gulf petroleum co
And afterwards i decided to sell industrial machinery and i visit most
Of the industrial Fairs in Germany and in Italy i used to visit the American Fairs at Maccormik in Chicago but afterwards i was losing My time
As i listen to Mr Titan that he wants to
Enhance the CNC industry in the States
I think he has a very Big Chalenge
Since he Will have to change the mentality of the high school Americans that all of them wants to go to the university but none of them wants to use their hands as they do in Europe
    There is a tradition
So if the American wants to produce
More technical pieces there. Have to be more companies that produces machines like. Plastic extruders .
    Gearboxes, extra fast trains
Can You imagine that China has almost 40 000 km of fast trains with a speed of 350 km.per hour and the States i think only from Miami to Orlando
Besides Germany as one of the countries that produces more machinery is Italy take an example the city of Bologna there áre more than 9000 mechanical industrias
One of them Acma GD. Now called Coesia is the biggest exporters of machines that make cigarettes
Makes 800 packages per minute of 20
    Cigarettes in each Marlboro package
    I dont smoke but.the technology
Is amazing. They have machinery that make 10 000 cigarettes per hour if they want to feed the 400 packages per minute machine they Also áre world famous soap. And bombons and candy manufacturing machine
There Also near Bologna is the
Small city of Sassuolo with more than
    2000 factories. That produces ceramic
Tiles. And Also they make all the machinery and ovens involved in the ceramic industria there is Also
Prato near Florence wich. Has more than 10 000. Textile industrias
Parma the city of the machines for the food industry and so on
In italy there is Also a very important
    Industry for making steel moulds
Mainly for the plastic industry more
Than 20 000 factories etc etc etc
Againg i congratulate You for your strong efforts and hope that in the next years the goverment and the industry CEOs. Start. To understand
That the futuro is machining in the States i love this CNC machines

You are Awesome! I work in Marine Robotics as a Mechanical Engineer, I have been disappointed with many machine shops that deny us based on complexity, and at times its forced us to go overseas. I'm starting to dabble with the CNC we have at work and it is awesome. I could see myself starting shop at some time and I would be the first to hire your students if they came in with the 5-axis and advanced machining techniques you're providing, keep at it!

Hi titan! I’m a 23 year old guy from Columbus Ohio and I recently have entered the field of cnc operation and programming. I have very little knowledge of the field when it comes to actually programming. The knowledge I do have I learned in the Ohio national guard (army reservists basically) but it was only a 5 week course. I really want to learn all of the ins and outs of this trade but unfortunately I’m having trouble with it. I see you have free material to learn online but I have no machines to practice on or anyone to help show me because my shop is so busy and the 2 guys that do know how to program say they don’t have time to show me and that their is not really a spot for another programmer in the shop at the moment. I have a pretty good laptop I bought with my savings money so that I can get featurecam and practice on that, but my supervisor never has time to install it for me. You have helped so many people so I’m not asking for handouts, but It would be an honor to learn in one of your shops because I know for a fact I’ll learn from the best that actually want to teach. But if you have any spots available please please please contact me. I’ll pay for my own way out there and I’ll pay for the learning courses. I just really want to learn so I can be as good as you in the field some day. Thanks for reading this and thank you for the motivation you have given me in all of your videos! You’re amazing!

Growing up in the bay area we had
    Peterbilt Motor Co
    Mack Trucks
    Caterpillar
    International trucks
    Gillig Bus Co
    General Motors
    Ford
    They are all gone
    For what ever reason
I was lucky to have worked at some of those and like titan had said in other videos it was like going to college
I learned a skill working on trucks
Spending the last 27 years at a dealership learning even more becoming a journeyman heavy duty mechanic
Never forgetting my root in the machine shop at mack trucks learning machine operation learning inspection
So grateful to all those who spent the time teaching me thank you

Greetings from Brazil, First of all thank you for your videos, they serve as inspiration for any type of work, your vision of the future and optimism are contagious.
It is very sad that in my country machines of this level have a real cost at least 3 times greater, and access to them becomes extremely difficult and consequently makes the profitability unfeasible.
I am very hopeful that my country will be able to evolve and have Haas, DMG ... machines at a fair price one day.

Titan, thanks for all the great videos. The precision machining & Toolmaking industry can definately learn from your example. These days too many of the big corporations just focus on parts out the door with little or no regard to actually teaching the younger generation.
Pity that every big city does not have a Titan shop to further and nurture the new talent for the future of precision machining.

    Awesome!
The most valuable class I ever took (pre college) that made a HUGE difference in machining: Geometry.
I helped the old tool and die guys use their scientific calculators vs. trig tables by remembering the following : CHIEF Soh-Cah-Toa
    Soh: Sine =. Opposite/Hypotenuse
    Cah: Cosine= Adjacent/Hypotenuse
    Toa: Tangent= Opposite/Adjacent
With that, the discussion can progress to radials, tangents, etc.
    Great job Titan.

It just occurred to me that there might be a crossover between your emphasis on the need for precision in parts making... that a standard of excellence is not only nice but also necessary... and applying the same standard to doing the right thing and living right. Requiring righteousness in being always within spec goes for more than parts. Having no time for "close enough" puts where the line is in perspective in making all life choices. Instilling the discipline of never turning a blind eye or sweeping under the rug could transfer to having the same discipline in somebody not allowing himself to excuse the small wrongs that slowly build up to the big ones that land us in prison in the first place. So I'm thinking you're passing on more than just a means of making a living, but a means of living life itself. An expectation of excellence in oneself in all things.

Love the DMU 50. I am completely on board with your curriculum; but please show that machine making some prismatic parts in a 3+2 configuration too. Most 5 axis machines I see in my area are running like this on prismatic Pieces to eliminate secondary and tertiary processes. True 5 axis parts are great, but it would also be nice to show that different use to get peoples wheels turning.

You are such an inspiration, I'd jump ship tomorrow move form the UK and come work for you. Have you ever thought of doing some kind of educational tours of your work shop ? I love to visit you.

My lead hand was the lead programmer there and he would not nun fast and hard!! Totally wish I would have got to program a few parts on it and just giver fast and hard on some K890. Anyways just a beast and beautiful machine!!!! But man pls don't tell me your moving on from the Haas machines.!!! BOOM!!!!!!

Where I work the parts have a high content of nickel, we only use haas machines but the company invest a lot on making our own tools. I can't share details about it, first bc I don't know all the details but also and more important the company consider sharing information as a data breach and even prosecute those who share it. We make lots of hardware for commercial jet engines, most likely if you have flown, our parts were on that engine, we also have lots of military work. So needless to say the company plays no games when it comes with data breaches. I think is awesome you guys are showing how to work on materials like that
