@@julio-montezhe is right. Metal needs talent, pop doesn't. At metal, you need to learn playing an instrument, at pop, you need a musical base, and just sing to it, which is easy, especially with autotone. Metal is harder. Anything you say, metal will be in the hardest genres to play besides classical, jazz, and any other genre where you need any instument
@@metalhead8338 I'm not even saying I like much of pop music because I don't but it's unwise to generalize different genres of music to be harder or easier because that's not what defines them and it's almost always not true - every song that took effort to make took effort and every song that didn't, didn't regardless of who made it or what genre it falls under. There are pop songs that probably took more effort to make than metal songs and definitely vice versa, as it is with every musical genre. Again, I think people who talk like this are old men who heard some shitty top 10 hit and went "argh! Those damn kids and their pop tunes! They have no skill!" And disregard half of modern music. The real problem with all of this, though, is that pop music is such a broad genre which at different times could encompass Steely Dan, Metallica, and Britney Spears, so on and so forth that it's hard to tell where the line is drawn, which means it's foolish to disregard the entirety of "pop" music by calling it lazy or lacking skill. I can definitely see where you're coming from, since the pop music that comes to mind to all of us is Ed Sheeran or Taylor Swift droning on about mundane, cliche shit to a tune that they didn't write. I used to be one of those people too. But then I realized that if there is a song that I like, then I like it and I want to listen to it again. It doesn't matter where it came from, or how much skill it took to make, music is music and the purpose of music is to sound good. And if it sounds good, then who really cares?
Alot of people think its their weakest, alot (me included) think its one of the best. Its mental you could rank their 7 albums in whatever order you want and never be wrong
Ah, for all you ignorants that say Chuck Schuldiner is gay and all your other bullshit; Chuck is the best death metal band guitarist. Hands down. Sexuality has nothing to do with his talent \m/
What is with people questioning his sexuality anyway? Chuck always had a girlfriend and was potentially engaged I think, I'm not sure about that. But he always had a steady girlfriend. But his drawl is that coming from the south to California surfer kind of blend.
hahahaha those are not mistakes, thats Sean Reinert on drums, he changed the songs a bit using odd meters, that was one of the things that Chuck always liked about him, In fact he said that the best version of "pull the plug" was played by Sean couse of what he added.
Not gay. Had the same gf for like DECADES. Just not heavily discussed and he was INTENSELY private. that's why we don't know much more than what his mom can tell us.
@ComedyCental i have a signed leprosy poster , its signed by Chuck , Paul Masvidal , Sean Reinert , and Skott Carino ( bass player for the human tour , not on the studio album) , im super jealous though i really wanna meet chuck and talk to him , but unfortunatley that will never happen
Nem mais porsche 911 carrera embora seja mais um ferrari f40, não havia hipóteses, chuck foi o maior death metal criador deste planeta, basta ouvir qq 1 dos primeiros 4 álbums, sobretudo Leprosy and Human.
I can almost understand why people may say something like that. Most people that love this form of music only like a certain kind of people. Also, if we remember Sean reinert and Paul masvidal who played on this studio album later came out and as being homosexual. People can be friends and bandmates and professional artists and leave it at that. Me personally, I care not because I have been bashed for my love of speed/thrash metal( I know, some are going to say that Death was a __________metal band).....tsk tsk, too many labels, but as I was saying, I have been ostracize by blacks whites and others for my musical preference. Hell, I even laugh, black dude, Hispanic name and a speed/thrash metal wacko!!!
I knew a guy from South Florida like Chuck who was married with kids "this was 2018" and he sounded effeminate ,and had a son ,who had a girlfriend ,and he sounded more effeminate than him. There are a lot of gay people who live in South Florida, "like in Southern California", because of the warm climate nice beaches and the party lifestyle that these things allways engender, and that the fact they don't tend to have familys' of their own means they are more likely to be able to live and afford that lifestyle.
why are you even discussing that issue. does it matter if he sounded gay,if we was gay,or if you think he was gay? he was a great musician thats all that matters.fuck the rest rip chuck \m/ Death still rules !
What trips me out is how you listen to the beginning of this video and Chuck sounds like a flaming homosexual, yet he has the most badass voice in metal. XD
One of my favourite Death songs \m/ Is this footage from Finland by the way ? the audience sounded like Finnish ? Atleast Death visited Finland on the Human- tour
He didnt fuck it up, he didnt get the pinch at the start, but he was nowhere near it so i dont think he even went for it (sounds better imo). And the end bit he obviously meant
Sometime I wonder how people can stand pop music...listen to this! It's gold, I just don't understand how people can't see talent.
average closed minded comment ruling out an entire genre of music because they heard one top 10 hit they didn't like

Chuck's solo on this song is epic
First death solo i ever learned. I actually prefer the way he plays it here.
Death, one of the greatest Death Metal bands of aaaaaaaaaall time !!! Spiritual healing is one of the best albums in Metal history.
Alot of people think its their weakest, alot (me included) think its one of the best. Its mental you could rank their 7 albums in whatever order you want and never be wrong
No cover bands can get the harshness of his vocals right

He's from Southern Florida chances are you will sound a little effeminate just like in Southern California.

Saw them in NYC during their Spiritual Healing tour

Well to be fair, Control Denied is power/progressive metal.
But ya, Chuck rules, inspired me to pick up a guitar, I can never get sick of his songs!
@ComedyCental shit dude i would have donated money concert or no concert. we miss you chuck
Not that it matters if he's gay or not, but his way of speaking sounds more like Californian than homosexual xD LONG LIVE CHUCK!!!
not sure why people think he's gay when he had a girlfriend and was engaged

I Love Masvidal!
0:50 - 1:00 so badass
What trips me out is how you listen to the beginning of this video and Chuck sounds like a flaming homosexual, yet he has the most badass voice in metal. XD

That microphone was NOT setup for Chuck's vocals. Chuck's vocals sound great but that microphone sounds like shit.
the mic captured his vocals perfectly, the camera quality was shitty and it obviously wouldn't get the audio correctly
Dudes definitely not gay
he is so stoned....
hmm,cool,cof cof
Woke as fuck . We love you Chuck
The last Chuck solo is my favorite solo ever written. Too bad he kinda fucked it up there. Great video though.
He didnt fuck it up, he didnt get the pinch at the start, but he was nowhere near it so i dont think he even went for it (sounds better imo). And the end bit he obviously meant
How is he even gay? He made death metal no chuck no death metal.
No correlation there at all
Singer?? hahaha
