Blames crypto for dude being scammed on the phone.

"It's perplexing to understand why they are refusing to establish a committee that can expedite the removal of these fraudulent individuals. It's particularly exasperating for those of us who rely on online income. I'm grateful that *Apex Bureau Service* on web was able to help me recover my funds."
The man's computer was hacked. That's the origimal cause of the scam.
It is unclear to me why they confiscated the Bitcoin ATM machine. Was it discovered that the ATM machine company had something to do with hacking the guys computer? Regardless, this is not a Bitcoin problem. Bitcoin is not responsible for this scam.
@@skipondowntheroad5833 this video is all over the place, like I am actually so confused as to how the people who own or operate the atms are at any fault at all?
Why didn't he reach out to his son first before doing that? I am sure the son would let him know its a scam.
Elderly person is tricked into sending their own money to a scammer.
He has a BA from Howard University, a Master's from Columbia and a PhD from UMASS. The moral of this story is You can't teach common sense 😊

Im sure when eddie gets elderly, his sense of perception snd critical thinking skills will diminish quicker than the old guy he is patronizing in this video. My point is they are trying to blame crypto for a scam that people fall for everyday. And he may be 84 but he is definitely not senile, you can tell by the way he speaks he's clearly mentally intact.
SMH, I try to keep my parents and grandfather aware of current scams because they aren't in the loop on what's going on.

-I'm glad you're battling these jerks out there. We must take every precaution to safeguard the elderly and the general public from these disgusting scam artists! You've earned it!! You deserve the Nobel Peace Prize for keeping us safe, brother.
So the guy falls for one of the most common scams and it’s the fault of the atm they used to change funds? So why aren’t they going after gift cards since that is more commonly used to get funds by scammers?
Terrible reporting. They made this story very confusing.
So what exactly did the atm company do illegally ? Sounds like a scammer just told him to go to a Bitcoin atm to send the money.
*Great content and I thank you for breaking it down!! Even with the current crypto dip, I'm still Glad 1 can smile back at my portfolio of $82,700 made from my $6k weekly trade within a short period. I'm having my fourth withdrawal in 1 month😊 through Tracy*
after watching so many UA-cam tutorial videos about trading I was still making losses until Mrs Tracy started managing my investments now I make $ 10,567 weekly. God bless Mrs Tracy, she's been a blessing to my family.
Mrs Tracy has been such a blessing to me, my colleague got me involved in this and I can't thank her enough, my first placement was a little amount of Ethereum and my investment has been growing so well even with the current dip
Amazing I also started trading with Mrs. Tracy recently. $70,000 profit in just 2 months and still counting.
Without and doubt, copying trade from Tracy has indeed been a life saving. Making over $12,000 every week is an amazing gain

Western Union, PayPal, Bitcoin. We keep giving scammers the means to keep scamming. At some point we need to get the gov to get these means to take fault. To actually help the good folks instead of pocketing the transaction fee from the scammers
Western Union, PayPal, Bitcoin are all useful payment systems so will be used by scammers. Scammers also find cell phones and computers and software useful to conduct their scams as well but we don't need to outlaw those items as they are very useful for the vast majority of the population who use them legally.
The problem is not the means of payment, it is the lack of police action on going after the scammers.
Seriously?
This is almost too comical to be real.
This is almost like the carjackers setting up their own “get your car jacked here” storefronts .
Idiots still believing in crypto currency, bitcoins, etc deserve to lose their money.
He was scammed by a scammer. That is not the fault of Bitcoin. He could have been scammed using gift cards or $US. Would you blame gift cars and $US?
@ skip ondowntheroad.
The entire crypto currency, Bitcoin, etc. industry is one big scam. Investing in fake money only makes those regulating the numbers filthy rich. It was a scam when it started and a scam today for anyone dumb enough to venture into it.
Have you read the Bitcoin whitepaper?
@@pepsico815 Why would ANYONE want to get all confused with facts and commonsense? It's so much easier to blame the random BTC ATM on the corner. lol

He got all that education and college degrees but didn't think that sticking $20,000 in cash into an cryptocurrency ATM was a bit fishy? Sorry for your loss, but damn dude!!
The guy is like 85 years old, give him a break.!!! When you get older, your sense of perception and critical thinking skills diminish. Hopefully, this gentleman gets his money back eventually.

Lol this story is a joke, associating Bitcoin with crime, when Bitcoin literally had nothing to do with the scam.
I LOVE the fact that the victims were able to leave that message to the assistance team. They were ables to tell that guy, they are no longer victims! you are such an awesome force *VortexTrace* be reckoned and that is why I watch you!! Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The reporting on this is biased and uniformed. Poor reporting.
Web 3.0 people generally don’t use those ATMs. Neither should you.
I feel for this victim although it has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with Bitcoin, Crypto, Blockchain or the BTC service stations. This is FUD at the most elementary level. Instead, how about placing blame on the scammers? This identical scam goes on 5000x a day in most states, and you don't see media blaming banks or ATMs when they are manipulated to send cash. Let's stop this nonsense already, and instead do people a service by educating folks about the inevitable new economy which is Crypto.

@Phillip Myers I can't say enough. Thanks to her, I am now a multi-millionaire. Although, I was a billionaire before I met her, but I'm not one to point fingers.
cryptocurrency is a scam
Bitcoin is not a scam. It is a neutral cryptocurrency and payment system. The victim was scammed by a scammer and the payment method he used to make a payment was Bitcoin. It could have been dollars, or Paypal or gift cards or gold coins, all of which are also not scams.
It’s been good to me
Bitcoin is not a scam, it's digital gold.
@@pepsico815 It's digital beanie babies.
@@BRM202 Have you read the whitepaper?
So let me see if I understand this🤔 someone one comes up with a plan to create an invisible digital currency, convince a lot of people that it's safe and secure and the wala your money disappears 😮 It's magic😂😂😂 or is it 😢 klepto currency the money you had that just disappeared😂😂😂😂😂
Apparently you DON'T understand. Bitcoin is safe and secure. The mans computer was hacked and the scammers told the man to deposit money into a Bitcoin ATM. That is not the fault of Bitcoin. Old people are often the target of scammers.
Let's put this in perspective. At one point there was a 2 TRILLION dollar JACKPOT for anyone who was able to breach the Bitcoin blockchain and its security. Yet NOBODY succeeded. Instead we hear banks getting hacked, NSA, FBI, CIA and Pentagon hacks, but still NEVER a Bitcoin hack. That should speak volumes in itself.
It's ignorant thinking like this that keeps you poor while we get rich. Educate yourself and live a better life 🙏
I seen an old lady putting in thousands of dollars while on the phone asking someone if they can see what she’s doing
