I just bought one it’s perfect for us in wheelchairs. Using a wallet just doesn’t work, fanny packs make ya look fat. This is the best alternative pack I’ve found. Nice part is everything stays sucre, it’s within reach when you need to get things out quickly. Super review.
Yeah. It would be nice if they had an option to choose a left or right handed rig. That way everyone could get what works best for them. Seems to be kinda a roll of the dice though. Some get left some get right.
That’s what I was shooting for. Not trying to drag people along. Just trying to get some helpful info out there as if I was a friend telling a friend about something cool. I appreciate it 🤙🏼
Interesting that yours is draw from the left. I bought this exact pack just a few weeks ago from Amazon and mine is definitely draw from the right. Really like it, used it for a backpacking trip carrying a 2" .357 mag revolver.
Yeah it was weird. Everyone that ordered one after I made this video was saying they got a right hand draw. So I ordered another one not long ago and got a right hand draw. Go figure 🤷🏼♂️
Yeah. I like the side entry for sure. If it had that then I could live with the rest. Having to squeeze it on over your head can be a hassle if your doing it everyday
Yeah it’s not the best option for quick draw situations. But it’s a good option for carrying and having it with you and concealed. If your concerned with how fast you can draw then you might want an open chest rig.
I just got mine today and while it opens from right to left, it is definitely a right draw holster stitched inside. Which is unfortunate because I'm a lefty and was bought it based on the video lol. I do agree that small compact pistol is a good fit. My Glock 17 gen 5 with red dot and comp BARELY fits and the zipper have to be slightly forced past the mag. Also the single zipper is a draw back for me as well since I'd have to use my left hand to open and then draw. I'm not sure Ill be keeping it but maybe for just dog walks or something. Not sure why mine is a right draw holster and yours is lefty. Wanna trade?? lol
Yeah I 100% agree. It’s “okay” but not the best for what I ultimately want. It’s good to have it with you but not from a tactical use point. Just good and comfortable to have out while hiking or running. That’s pretty crazy yours is a right draw. I wonder how/why they come different. I would have liked it a lot more if it was right draw at least.
@@FortKnoxCo Yeah don't get me wrong tho, the fit was great! It felt secure and was very easy to take on and off (buckles would be easier but oh well). The price is really nice too. But like you said, its okay, not great. Some flaws here and there they could easily fix and hope they do because I do like it. A flashlight, small knife, water phone/wallet and pistol would all fit nicely. Would be better to just have hook and loop stitched inside. Good video tho!
@@FortKnoxCo Look into Bastion Gear on esty. Hand made in Latvia. He's super nice and a veteran. I bit higher in price but the quality looks much much nicer! Ill be getting mine in the mail soon i hope.
how about the SKYWEIGHT UTILITY CHEST PACK from 5.11 might be a good as well and seems to be a little more customizable "other than that great video can't wait for mine to come in to go on a run also if you have notice they added clips on the sides now as an option."
Yeah that 5.11 one looks awesome. I haven’t tried it myself though. I just ordered a new one from Thai company to see what they’ve done with it. I’ll probably do an updated video if the features have changed and there’s new things to highlight.
Just got mine in the UK guys . Thoughtni would look online to see how you actually put it on as I have one with the clip straps at the side which is more practical. So what is the point of the clip straps over the shoulder then if we put it over our heads. And if you don't have much stretch in your arms your prob gonna need some help from someone are we not. But does seem like a good well made product. I used my other kne in a visit tk new york at Christmas there and hardly took it off. BTW great informative video cheers.
Thank you I really appreciate it. I agree I think this one is great overall. There’s probably not one out there that’s 100% perfect but this one checks a lot of boxes for me.
Yeah I thought it was kinda weird but figured maybe they weren’t considering that. But seems most people now that have ordered one said it’s made right hand draw. So maybe I got a bad one or an early rendition.
@@FortKnoxCo I personally enjoy the hill people gear chest rig but it does not have an elastic band inside to keep your firearm snug and in place. Also because they are such a small business They have a hard time keeping up with the high demands since their products are so well made. Thanks for replying back though I will probably look into getting one of these as well see which one I like best.
@@tony_ofthe_north6604 I agree. Their stuff is really nice. I have a good idea for a chest rig and easy way to deploy if you need to draw but I haven’t had the time to sit at a sewing machine and bring it to life. Haha. Until then I’ll be doing the same and testing out stuff from others.
@@FortKnoxCo I would agree I still have yet to find a nice running chest rig for concealed carry quick draw something with a nice side pouch everything I have found you either have to unzip the top to gain access It would be nice to have something maybe velcro or magnet on the right side that you can just read your hand in.
@@tony_ofthe_north6604 exactly. I want to do something that you can rip or pull to uncover and have your draw right there. Otherwise while your running it’s covered/concealed. Similar to the backpack systems where you can carry a long gun and deploy fast.
Just got mine in the mail today from Amazon. My zipper opens from right to left AND the pouch is on the opposite side. Maybe order a new one from Amazon and return your old one?
That’s crazy. Maybe they heard my review and switched it up lol. I may need to do that. Because overall I like the rig, I just really don’t like the left hand draw access only. So I may need to order another
Not quite sure. I don’t own a 1911, but I used the glocks for comparison and gave the measurements so you could try and measure yours and see since every make/model is slightly different.
You’re the second person to tell me that yours draws from the right. The one that I had obviously draws from the left. But it seems like this manufacture or depending on when you buy it has different styles. During the purchase there was no option to pick left or right. Really weird
@@FortKnoxCo i bought the wrong item 😭😭 Thank you for replying it means a lot to me. Can you suggest any Tactical chest rig with Velcro in it? where I can put my patches?

@@DGKREAKT I think it works out pretty good if it’s snug. Then it won’t bounce around too much. But everyone’s different with their idea of “comfortable” while running
