Bokuto makes me smile and is also my favorite character. It was in the last Fukurodani match (in the manga) where someone, can't remember who, commented that Bokuto not only brings his own team up, but their opponents as well. The guy just has some kind of "fun aura" and that makes him a joy to watch whenever he's in a scene/panel! There's also something to be said about how Haruichi Furudate draws really tense moments in the manga. It somehow brings as much tension and anticipation as the anime and I love it! His character designs also seemlessly change from menacing to intimidating to worried to dumbstruck to embarassed and all the way back around to intimidating while all feeling and looking very natural.

everything on this scene is masterful, how he hears hinata before turning his eyes to look at him. how the sound fades. the only other scene that beats this scene is the full rally in the final point of season 2 with the payout to make it clear against the same team why they needed the new quick, why they needed to evolve. great video.
Forget the Jackals, Karasuno vs Nekoma is the best match in the entire series. I love them going nuts and all being monsters, but Kenma's growth makes me shiver every time I read it. Can't wait for it to be animated

Actually, most of Kageyama’s sets wouldn’t have counted. Seeing as if the ball spins it would be called a double touch. Your hands have to make contact with the ball at the same time, and if it spins, it’s likely they didn’t. Anyway, yeah these types of scenes make me emotional but make me laugh at the same time.

Tbh. I think this is what the new season is missing. Maybe I just don't like change but I feel like scenes are less thought out. The jokes aren't timed as well as the past seasons. People say that they're saving budget for future matches but I don't think it's really the animation but the way they just churn out scenes.

So far the order of things has been “training-tournament,training-tournament” now we have all the Tokyo matches with Nekoma and Fukurodani,the training arc,the practice match,and the nationals are the longest arc so far,so my question was,how much are they gonna put into one season? Will we get nekoma vs Karasuno or will it stop before that? Will it have 24 episodes or more? Just speculations =)
I seriously doubt we'll get to see Nekoma vs Karasuno, it's too far away. If we are lucky enough to have a season of 25 episodes I think we'll stop right after the Inarizaki match, teasing the upcoming Nekoma vs Karasuno game. I can't wait to meet so many new characters, I'm so excited!!
this one gives Hinata more aerial options. the original quicks were all Kageyama forcing the ball into a spot for Hinata to hit it, this new one lets Hinata be more versatile with the same motions. it doing that spin drop thing helps him be able to analyze the situation more in the moment
And people get used to the first freak quick. They can probably do it for a long time before the other team gets the hang of it but when they do Hinata cant really do anything else. That's why this new freak quick instantly makes him soo much better of a player.
