Hi Raphael, thank you for this amazing tips ! Do you think that it will be possible to "stick texture" on a moving vdm/volume mesher with this technique ?
Hey there and sorry for the late reply. Unfortunately this probably is not possible if the UV data can not be extracted from the underlying volume. The system needs a foundation/ framework on which it is basing it's calculations upon. If you manage to get the UVW Data to the voxels, then everything is possible! Might be an interesting idea to try, since at least C4D is able to store color value into voxels.
@@SilverwingVFX Indeed it could be a real challenge, I hope that one day Maxon will implement an easy way to do it (or maybe you as a Genius, will find a workaround ^^). I always dreamed about a solution to add details on a moving vdb mesh, like fluid, it coul'd add a lot of realism.
Hey Victor. Thank you very much for your comment and your question. I do not have completely color accurate monitors 😇 I have hardware calibrated screens. The main screen I am using is LG C2 OLED 42" TV actually. It works quite well. The other screens are rather old DELL LCD monitors. Those are probably 13 Years old by now. But still work great. I hardware calibrate those from time to time with a i1Display Pro colorimeter. I do my colors by comparing my work on a lot of rather color accurate screens and by experience. Though I also had some mishaps ha ha ha. Cheers and if you have any more questions, feel free to ask! Raphael
Hey Trần, thank you so much. Your kind words mean more then financial aid to me ❤️ It's fantastic to hear that you learn and grow through my channel. Please also look after yourself first. Only give, if you can really afford to! All the best for your future and fingers crossed that you make it big and do not have to struggle anymore 🤞 🌠 Thank you again for your great comment 🙌
Raphael, this is so niche, so helpful, so amazing. I quit the patreon to support a channel that was recently struggling with takedowns, but I will be back, your content is way too good to not support it. Sorry for the glaze, but I feel strongly about hq educational content in niche categories.
Hey Maximilian, thanks so much for your comment. No worries about the Patreon Support. You do you and do what you think is worth your investment. As I always say, I want to keep the videos free. And this goes for everyone. Please also look after yourself first. Only give, if you can really afford to ❤️ Also feedback such as this keep me going. There has been a recession with views on my channel lately and I catch my self thinking if it is still worth it to spend 2-3 full Days a week for a hand full of likes 😇 I guess producing niche things does not really help ha ha ha. Anyway. I am thankful for your support in watching and giving feedback. Much appreciated!
@@SilverwingVFX I think especially producing niche content is something so valueable for the internet at large. There're so many "5 AMAZING C4D TIPS YOU SHOULD KNOW" and "WATCH THIS AS YOUR FIRST BLENDER TUTORIAL" videos out there, but your's are one of a kind, especially since they're not paywalled, allowing students and the like to really get deep into the inner workings of octane and c4d/blender. Btw, I really feel like otoy should sponsor you, always baffles me, that they're not in the top echolon of the Patreon.
Hey there and thank you very much for your comment. Most of the things I am showing should work from older Versions of C4D (e.g. R25) to the newest (2025). Have you had any problems following a video with an older version of C4D or what's the cause of your question?
@@SilverwingVFX It was a simple question to migrate the configuration (plugins, layout, etc) with a simple command or script. Thanks for the content, keep up the good work
@@3dsorni240 Ahhh, so I misunderstood and thought you were speaking of my videos and the C4D Versions depicted here. The only way to get most of the data over to your currect C4D version is to copy the folders you find in %appdata%/Maxon There you will find folders with the C4D version and some longer number behind then. Just copy all the content of your Cinema 4D 2024 folder into your Cinema 4D 2025 folder. Sometimes if Maxon changed to much, that can lead to "Crashyness" of C4D. But it usually works. Fingers crossed it will work for you!
🍒🥝🫐 Good information. Thank you!

Ohhhh, thanks so much Yassin. That makes me really happy 🙌✨❤💚💙✨🙌
God thanks dude, I recently encountered this problem. I've been watching your channel recently. Otoy should pay you to make content.
Thank you very much for your great comment.
It's always so nice to hear when the videos are useful to people 🙌
