This channel is one of the very very few that doesn't shill itself for money but rather cares enough about what us viewers think about each and every video. I have left many comments over the last 6 months since finding this channel, and it never ceases to amaze me that Ian himself takes time to answer many of them personally. Where do you see that anywhere else??? The knowledge alone that is imparted on channel would take a lifestyle of research to get if it wasn't for Ian and his crew. I venture to say this channel is in the top 3 channels in all of UA-cam land that has this kind of quality baked in. I am extremely grateful for this content.
Mr. Tyrrell! There's nothing better to unwind after a hard day at work, by watching your videos. You're doing a great job recording content that suits many different types of viewers. I personally like the technical aspect of working on these classics. Other viewers might enjoy the driving part of the episodes or the history behind cars presented. In other words just keep on filming your "daily grind" which is a dream come true for every car enthusiast out there. Thank You for Your commitment.
Dear Iain, I just wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for your fantastic UA-cam channel on cars. Your passion for all things automotive shines brightly through each of your videos, making them both informative and enjoyable to watch. Your attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile to provide your viewers with accurate and insightful information is truly commendable. From car reviews and test drives to detailing and maintenance tips, your channel has become an invaluable resource for car enthusiasts and novices alike. I especially admire how you strike the perfect balance between entertainment and education, making each video an engaging and informative experience. Your expertise, combined with your infectious enthusiasm, makes it clear that you genuinely love what you do, and that passion is contagious! Thank you for your hard work, dedication, and commitment to providing your audience with high-quality content. You have truly become a standout in the world of automotive UA-cam channels, and I look forward to following your journey as you continue to grow and inspire others. Sincerely, Mike Chipling
As I get older (42) I’ve realised that there are cars, but then there are cars with stories, I came to this channel from Harry’s garage, and have loved hearing about the countach, espada and rolls Royce. I look forward to each of these videos. I’m fascinated by anyone who can restore things so meticulously! Great job!
As you get really old, I'm 68 and a petrol head, you think, I can remember them first being announced. Living in London there was always an exotic or two driving about to admire.
Well said. I'm 46 yrs old, I get told that I'm "mansplaining" if I dear give some history of an invention or such. Everything we do now seems to be Smartphone based. Just explaining to my kids that music or shopping wasn't always on a phone is mind-blowing to them, lol. My 8-year-old talks to the fridge now, and it talks back 😂. Things that were once science fiction are now ordinary, and something is missing from that experience. This channel is a great reminder to us of that.
@@Isthatyoudermot my 10yo was asking what I watched on UA-cam when I was a kid :) big explanation on 4 tv channels, no on demand, what a newspaper is and what tv listings are. Also explaining no mobile phones, and my mum having no idea where I was all day. Those were the days!
Iain, you’re pure class and that’s rare for what the UA-cam “algorithm” promotes. You’re one of no more than three channels I believe add value to our lives rather than out to make a buck. Keep allowing your enthusiasm to shine through as this is where you excel. Having spent my career in Aerospace and Defence along with being a Porsche enthusiast your level of attention to detail is appreciated.
I love how original that F40 is. A sympathetic restoration is definitely the only way you can go with something this good already. A huge responsibility.
Iain is a gentleman in the finest traditions of English "car guys" and it's heartening to see many of the younger crowd who visit this site appreciate his understated and quality presentations on this channel. As always, it's a pleasure to sit back and enjoy a new episode from TCW. Thanks for posting Iain and a good afternoon to you from one of your fans from Down Under.
Iain, I am so grateful to you and your team for the effort you take in producing the highest quality content. Such a simple request. You have opened up a world that I can only dream about. I’m not sure which part I actually enjoy the most, the cars, the engineering, the team, you. All a brilliant mix … thank you so much.
Thanks for letting us get "up close and personal" with these wonderful cars in a way that most of us would otherwise be unable to do. And I love your relaxed manner - a bit like a Val Doonican fireside chat!
Only in the UK can you find a UA-cam channel such as this! I for one am glad to see Iain, his team and quality quests present such great classics and long may it continue 👍
There's nothing else on youtube like your channel Iain, keep up the good work and your deep knowledge is always welcome. This is basically history lessons for the car nerds and you present it in a format that is both entertaining and engaging.
Your "nerdy" take on these classic and iconic cars is second to none Ian, I spent 18 years working on some of the same and classic racecars and even to me your videos teach alot not just about the mechanical elements ect but that there are still people out there with a true passion for proper cars. Thank you Ian and all at the workshop and look forward to many more videos to come.
Iain, your channel is my weekly highlight. There is simply nothing that can be improved in my opinion and you, Harry (Metcalfe) and Jonny Smith provide the perfect antidote to the madness that masquerades as normal in present times. Thank You and fond regards from South Africa.
This channel is an absolute jewel. The videos just keep getting better and the attention to detail, the overall quality and the passion to rare cars is just amazing. And still these would be nothing without You Iain and your team. Keep the videos coming and not too often so that it won't become a burden and to maintain the very high level You have achieved. Thank You.
Iain, Tyrrell’s Workshop is certainly one of my favorite automobile sites. Your presentation and demeanor is welcoming with a sense of humor as well. Your incredible knowledge of the content shows with the care and enthusiasm. Seeing cars that here in the US we can only imagine is definitely rewarding.
It is absolute pleasure to leave a comment Iain! You rarely fail to to hit the mark on your videos. Us car nerds love the more detailed background information and stories. Please keep the amazing content coming. 👍👌
I have been following Tyrrell's Classic Workshop channel for quite some time. I am a truck driver and a couple of months ago I was lucky enough to actually see the workshop when making a delivery to a company next door! What a lovely surprise that was! Keep sharing your passion with us! We are grateful for all the incredible work you do!
You asked for a favor, you deserve it! This is probably my first UA-cam comment, but I'm more than happy to do my part here. Thanks sir for these high quality videos, lovely!
The Tyrrell's Classic Workshop videos are a candid gem in the plethora of car related content on youtube. Very well put together & full of straightforward information & history, funny too! Thanks for your efforts.
Tyrrell's Classic Workshop, besides being easily the best UA-cam automobile workshop and presentation channel, gives us the ideal of how a man should live his life. Tyrrell's knowledge, humility, consideration, passion, and "Dare I say" humor :-) is something we should all strive for. I trust he will be bringing us pleasure for years to come!
What an amazing gentleman tony is, I hope people in Tony’s circle is learning all the history for these classic cars because we are all going to meet our maker one day and he’s knowledge must be preserved, Iain would be lapping all this up. As one subscriber said without harry we wouldn’t be sitting here watching Iain’s videos. Thanks to all involved, regards from Australia
I am nearly eighty years young, the machines you restore and work on were the dream machines of my time . But now with failing hearing etc,I find your sense of humour and knowledge, and wonderful clear unhurried explanations a pleasure ! Thank you .
Iain, to say that your video series is hugely appreciated is an understatement! Nowhere else will one find such a collection of exotica, some even affordable, presented with such deeply fascinating knowledge and experience, and narrated with such eloquence. As I think I mentioned once before, all that's missing is the certain smell of that classic rubber, oils and interiors...
Mr. Tyrrell, I appreciate the time and work that goes into each of your videos. High quality and chocked full of details. Always eager to see your next one.
Another classic Iain, many thanks. Your efforts are much appreciated, giving us an insight into a world that most of us can only dream about. I raise my Sunday evening glass in your direction 🍾🍷🍷
Loved the polite request, here is my comment. One of the best channels in youtube for petrolheads, Iain is an amazing communicator. My favourite contents in the channel are those that focus details of the mechanics of the cars and/or repairs. Love it when Iain picks up his tools and gets to business.
Happy to oblige your request for comment. Your channel is special in a way other car channels can’t be. The focus on the history, the interviews, the respect, and the people involved give a sense of what these cars mean to the owners and craftsmen involved that other shows don’t capture. Please continue knowing I look forward to and enjoy every episode.
Clicking "Like" is the very least I can do to say thank you for the privilege of visiting your wonderful world of classic cars, and especially all the incredible stories and insights. You're such a gentleman and clearly a man of immense talent and experience. Your love and care for the cars and customers is to be admired, especially the sympathetic approach to restoration. Thanks for all the effort, the time and the generosity in producing Tyrrell's Classic Workshop. I look forward to every episode! And yes, please feel free to get all nerdy! I love the details.
Ian your sympathetic work style for these cars is the really only way to treat them for their owners. Tony's knowledge of Ferrari is exceptional and it's a credit to you to hear him approve of your work style. An comment worth its weight in gold for Tyrell's Classic Cars!
What’s not to like? Knowledge and history. That’s what makes these amazing cars come to life. Hearing the history of how they were sold back in the day just adds a further layer of texture. Top content as ever. Thanks Iain (and Tony).
Yours is a fantastic channel Iain as it not only gives us motorheads a glimpse into a world the majority of us will never be able to live in, it also does this with a sense of reverence to the cars, their history, technical development and vision that created them. I always eagerly await the next video coming out. I especially love the ones where my two favourite channels collide seeing both you and Harry Metcalfe in the same video is always a plus! 😊
I’ve commented extremely favourably with regard to the quality of this channel in the past, today is no different, excellent work Iain, all the best from Athens, Greece
Is this the best channel on UA-cam ever? Even my mother loves it! And she was the one that once when broken down in her VW beetle in the 70s, called my dad for help and told him that the engine has disappeared, while looking under the front bonnet.
I watch every video you produce, and so appreciate the time and effort involved in their production. I am still shocked that someone of your standing in the classic car world is willing to pull back the curtain and let us see the magic happen. Thank you from across the pond in Florida for allowing us into your world!

Iain, your channel is a treasure and the content and your knowledge are really impressive and that's why I appreciate every single minute of them. Many thanks.
There's nothing compareable to Iain's explanations. A brilliant mixture of informations one would not get somewhere else. Passion and knowledge presented in a wonderful english manner. Thank you so much.
A like really doesn’t reflect how lucky we are to have YT contributors like Iain and Harry, intelligent interesting people with huge knowledge and experience in diverse aspects of cars, the industry, engineering and creativity around them. I’ve loved everything about cars since I was kid, both channels never fail to show and tell you something you never knew before. Most would recognise the effort put in to produce the content, in a humble way you can only say thanks, your efforts are appreciated. In the very unlikely event that I will be buying a used F40, or any exotic, I know who would be looking after it, in fact I would leave it at TCW, could then justify a weekly visit and tour of the workshop, worth the investment just for that!
Hello Iain, it's the first time I'm writing in your channel, but I've been watching your videos for a long time. I've always liked classic cars and their esthetics. It's fascinating how much more I like them now that I discover a great deal of mechanical and historical peculiarities that I was unaware of. Thank you for sharing this information on your channel and for allowing us to continue enjoying it. Greetings from Spain.
I feel I'm a bit of the usual crowd here, and I've left some appreciation messages too. But Iain, you may be surprised about it, but you are the only one where I hit that bell button, so I am immediately notified when you post a new video. I might do that with Harry as well, as he led me to you, but you'll be the first anyway. Thank you for everything, dear Master of Classic Car Nerdery..
The record you are creating is an absolute treasure. Thank you very much, Iain Tyrrell, for the extensive efforts you make to bring us this very unique and special content. It's a great pleasure to follow along as you, as well as your guests, delve ever more deeply into the details and minutiae of these wonderful marques. Both the technical and human aspects are equally fascinating.
Thank you to the whole team responsible for creating these wonderful videos, they are greatly appreciated. Hearing Tony's story was a delight, the F40 was a bonus.
Ever since the channel started I've felt privileged to have this insight the videos give us. Very special indeed and much appreciated. Also a thank you to many of the vehicle's owners for allowing Iain to film their cars. Lastly thanks to those in the background editing etc. Great channel.
Thank you for another awesome episode, each release is like a gift. As a fellow in the trade (albeit a freckle compared to you Iain), I can’t thank you enough for your inspiration and long-distance (unknowing) mentorship of my small shop in the US. One thing I think everyone should notice and appreciate beyond all recognition, is the amount of pressure that projects like this put on a world class team like Iain’s. You can almost sense it in his voice, and that honest representation of obligation is makes Iain and his team unbelievably valuable. Cheers.
Iain, you provide access to the parts of cars we'd never usually get to see - and of course, the kind of cars we'd never usually get to see. You're a pleasure to watch and your team is a credit to you. Having visited your workshop, i know firsthand what a privilege it is to be surrounded by such beautiful machinery, and what a special place it is. Please keep allowing us in.
Very enjoyable content I walk past your workshop nearly every month whilst on site and love catching a glimpse of what lies inside. Often makes my day.
It is always a joy listening to experts talk about their passions. Your channel is packed with this. Thanks to you Iain and all your team for fascinating content.
Sir, in my opinion, the huge success of this channel comes from the way you share the work done in your workshop. Modesty and above all, professionalism are at their highest level. Should I add that you are far more than a car restorer. You’re a curator and there are profound links between exceptional cars and piece of art we see in museum. So please go on ant thank you so much for this channel.
There are people with class, and then there is Mr. Tyrrell. It really doesn't matter what cars you show as long as it is you doing the showing. Just love your channel and never miss a single episode.
Hi Iain (and team), You asked for a like and comment and here it is😊. I’m here in Australia but was born and worked for many years in England. The cars you maintain, restore and speak about are the cars I remember from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, both as a young boy and into my more grown-up years! Your knowledge, experience and sheer passion is a tonic for any petrol head. Thank you for the channel and sharing your work and these wonderful cars. I found your channel via Harry's Garage and, quite frankly, I wanted to watch more of his videos featuring you because (no offense, Harry) of your content, your manner, your knowledge and expertise. Then you created your own content and I never looked back (I still love you Harry!) Your entire style of presentation, the way you explain things, your cheekiness, your obvious and sincere passion in what you do is intoxicating and addictive. And the owners, the workshop employees and the experts who appear along with you are like the cherry on top of the gorgeous cars! Well done, my friend! You are at the top of your game and still climbing - don't stop - keep on keeping on! CHEERS!

The content is mind blowing- I live in South Africa and here one just does not get to see this kind of content. The standards of workmanship are like nothing I’ve ever seen. The channel is indispensable. Revd. Dr. Mark Norman
Dear Iain,
I just wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for your fantastic UA-cam channel on cars.
Sincerely,
Mike Chipling
Seriously! I’ve dreamed of the day we could get such great looks at these cars
Thanks for this comment, Mike. It really says it all.
Very well said (written) 🎉
would be nice to know the bill at the end of it
Fantastic
I love how original that F40 is. A sympathetic restoration is definitely the only way you can go with something this good already. A huge responsibility.
I am 43 and I regret not having people like you both around. Pure car lovers and so so respectable and knowledgeable. Amazing stuff sir
Thank you!
Thank you for this content
Iain is a gentleman in the finest traditions of English "car guys" and it's heartening to see many of the younger crowd who visit this site appreciate his understated and quality presentations on this channel.
As always, it's a pleasure to sit back and enjoy a new episode from TCW.
Thanks for posting Iain and a good afternoon to you from one of your fans from Down Under.
Iain, I am so grateful to you and your team for the effort you take in producing the highest quality content. I find the combination of history, engineering and craftsmanship that is all bound in the richest of narratives to be both enlightening and motivating. An absolute highlight of the week is to sit with a little whisky and be absorbed into the World you open up. Thank you.
From The State of Washington in the United States of America, thank you for creating these snapshots of motorsport. It's my privilege to watch.
Such a simple request. You have opened up a world that I can only dream about. I’m not sure which part I actually enjoy the most, the cars, the engineering, the team, you. All a brilliant mix … thank you so much.
That's so very kind of you to say. Thank you!
Thank you! I intend to keep the videos coming.
Absolutely true. Im brazilian and I'm very pleased to watch Ian's content. It's just another level, its something really special.
No false drama, no heavy metal soundtrack, no celebrities, just pure knowledge and enthusiasm. Perfect
There's nothing else on youtube like your channel Iain, keep up the good work and your deep knowledge is always welcome. This is basically history lessons for the car nerds and you present it in a format that is both entertaining and engaging.
Honoured to be a part of this amazing channel 🎉
We are grateful for you and your team sharing your wisdom, Iain. Thank you very much indeed!
Henry and Jonny are in a different, semi-professional league.
The most polite, elegant and eloquent request to hit the like button I have ever seen on youtube! Thank you for creating this channel Sir.
Thank You.
Thank you! I'm delighted you enjoy them so much.
The passion for history and intrinsic knowledge of mechanics is just unparalleled. Always a joy to watch your films.
Iain, your passion and sympathetic treatment of the cars in your care are what sets your channel above the rest. Carry on Nerding!
Never think your videos are nerdy Iain. The content you bring us is incredible. ❤
Thank you! So good to know you enjoy the videos. Cheers! 🥂
Iain, you’re nailing this. You’re a natural. Like your restorations, nothing is faked and the result is an absolute pleasure to watch.
Thank you for your encouragement!
Hi from Australia Ian👋, not a big you tube commenter but absolutely love the channel! The authenticity and depth of your content is absolutely addictive, you're passion and knowledge is something I utterly admire. Thanks so much to you and the team for sharing you're world with us. I feel like especially these days, you're channel is a real gem!! All class mate, just brilliant.
*your (posessive)
not to be confused with you're = you are
Iain, your channel is a treasure and the content and your knowledge are really impressive and that's why I appreciate every single minute of them.
Thank you - this is so kind of you to say. I'm sure we could come to an arrangement on housing your eventual F40. 😁
Hi Iain, long time fan of yours. The more detailed and nerdy the better! You’ve already achieved so much on here.
I’m addicted to this channel. Nothing else like it, car wise. Cheers Ian.
The channel without parallel! Love the content, Iain. Thanks for all you share with us. Jona sent me a shot of his visit to you last week… 📸
Cheers.
Thank you for your hard work on this channel Mr Tyrrell and crew. It is most appreciated and enjoyed.
This has become one of my favorite UA-cam channels of all time!
Your channel has been amazing and presented by a great host and gentleman. Appreciate all the hard work Iain, thank you.😊
There are people with class, and then there is Mr. Tyrrell. It really doesn't matter what cars you show as long as it is you doing the showing. Just love your channel and never miss a single episode.
Iain's deep dives into the restoration of vintage sports cars and super cars are second to none.
Hi Iain (and team),
You asked for a like and comment and here it is😊. Please keep it coming, it is more valuable then you can imagine😊😊😊
The best motoring series on U Tube. Iain Tyrrell does an outstanding job of producing fascinating videos on some of the most interesting classic cars in the World
My first comment on any UA-cam channel - the finest, most informative classic car videos, from someone who can truly be called an expert.
These videos and their level of detail are gold. They need to be archived and preserved as bona fide historical records.
Thanks for opening the doors to your world. Before UA-cam, in my youth - this type of content was unimaginable as a car fanatic 😊
Dear Mr. Tyrrell,
greetings from Germany.
You are the true definition of a gentleman, who patiently and with great modesty shares his vast knowledge with those who have understood the immeasurable chance and privilege of learning from you.
Thank you!
With kind regards,
TH
It's my pleasure to like, subscribe and comment. This channel is one of the jewels of UA-cam.
The F40 is one of my all time favorites!
I’ve said this before…. The content which you provide is first class Sir.., the attention to detail is amazing and your network of experts to call upon are like an appendix of related information. This is far better than anything on the television. Thank you.
Most of us viewers and fans could never imagine the tingling excitement of just being in the room with these automotive works of art, much less lovingly and steadfastly restoring them and DRIVING them! And the owners, the workshop employees and the experts who appear along with you are like the cherry on top of the gorgeous cars! Well done, my friend! You are at the top of your game and still climbing - don't stop - keep on keeping on! CHEERS!
I could listen to the both of you talk about Ferrari's and the history of Ferrari for hours. Thank you for this.
Iain. Thanks to you and Harry, those of us who could only dream of owning one of these cars get to enjoy a smorgasbord of beautiful machinery and learn more about them and your art.
The perfect antidote to a tough week on the hamster wheel, keep up the awesome work Ian, it’s very much appreciated ❤👍
