Got it a few months back at the black friday sale, I think it was 49 bucks. I'm pretty happy with it, I don't programm drums but my bands drummer sends me midi tracks he recorded with his v-drums and I add this plugin afterwars. That way it sounds pretty realistic to me!
Got a 6 piece sittin with dust buried in the bedroom corner. Before covid I tore em down a drum a day and cleaned tightened and tuned. Sittin tuned with a quarter inch of dust on top
That's great, but how did you get it to work without skipping sounds or even crashing the DAW? I have a monster of a PC and the plug-in is crashing Reaper when I try to play back my programmed drums ☹️
I'd say Superior Drummer is still....superior. Its too powerful to compete with. These $100 libraries are great but you would need all of them together, plus a whole suite of mixing plugins, PLUS Slate Trigger to be able to do what you can do in the box with SD3.
Except for the price (obviously cheaper) why should I choose ELE over Superior Drummer 3? What is most celebrated about it is the dynamics and the amount of articulations it has, for example the Hi-Hat... But... But that's nothing new, the Superior Drummer has more than 10 multi-speed articulations for the Hi-Hat, to cite an example... So... I ask again Actually, is there anything that can be highlighted about this drum that makes at least a little difference beyond the obvious?
This was really great. Good practice material for anyone who wants to learn how to properly gate the bleed. I did do a playthrough of it on my channel though. If you'd like to check it out, please do give a visit to my channel!!
I disagree. While the ride and HH need a lot more, the snare needs even more! And the biggest problem I have with the snare is it still isn't performance level. It still doesn't crack enough, thud enough as a drummer would in performance. And that makes sense considering the parameters the drummers have. When playing full kit, the energy is different. Playing for volume is nothing. Its about half of what you would normally get. The snare is where is where I hear it most.
Well i partially agree, but i really think in the styles where this kit would be used, snare is ausually a very constant sounding thing. This plugin offers a few variations when you play the snare which is enough for the louder styles. I will agree when you play more intricate styles like jazz, or funk which need a lot of articulation.
Thanks for the review!! A small correction about the reverb: It is active for the snare and toms, and a small bit is being sent from the rooms.
Thanks for pointing that out!
Do you like this library?

Sounds quality. Great review as always, mate!
Thanks m8! Yeah spectre digital did a good job on this one, without doubt.
Looks promising.
Sounds good as well!

and boy, could they sound good ^^

Even with the 'human' variations it still sounds like Thomas Lang has played it flawlessly🔥
I'm going to sell my Neves and studio mics...
You should, probably will sound better since it excludes the human factor to make it sounds crap ;-)
Glenn did a great job on that plugin!
Glenn and his team surely did!
@@audiotoolshed yes, that's what I should have said :)
Hehehe ;-)
anyone know how to route these through multiple outputs in the DAW ?
Just wondering how it completes with Superior Drummer...
Clompetes or competes?

You might prefer these samples, or not. I'd say it comes down to that.

Thanks for your kind words!
the sounds are good and tweakable. the cpu usage is out of control
Do people know that Superior Drummer 3 exists? And with multiple expansion libraries?
Counterquestion - why are there so many guitar brands and models? Obviously 1 guitar model and brand is enough for everyone?

Sounds like any EZX addon or Superior drummer I ever tried...
Including the cymbals?
@@audiotoolshed And more
@@judas_saves Any little difference comparing to SD3?
nah, superior is more plastic
But I'm not a dinosaur xD
You're not? ;-)
@@audiotoolshed I'm a tree =))
Just stand still and they wont find you
lol
Still prefer the real
I’m a drummer so I agree ;-) BUT libraries like this absolutely can help.
