Loved the video, Adam! Sounding killer in context. Glad you’re digging the kit, we’re stoked on the feedback we’ve been getting. I’ll see what we can do about getting a dedicated multi-out tutorial posted ASAP.
Someone in another ELE video kindly answered some technical questions I had about ELE, so I thought I'd share here: There are 8 VELOCITY LAYERS AND 8 ROUND ROBINS FOR EACH, which is AMAZING!!
I really like what they did with this. I am renting at the moment and not able to setup a kit for recording so I had to rely on software drums to write. ELE inspired my creativity again as this kit sounds pretty good, especially with the mic choices and bleed. I like having the kit unprocessed and do my own mixing with it. Pretty fun so far.
A lot better than what I currently use when I can’t get into the studio honestly my workflow is very clunky at the minute as you know personally but to be quite honest I don’t particularly care so long as I have the bleeding stuff to be able to practice mixing realistically behaving microphones
Sorry for asking and with ALL RESPECT... Except for the price (obviously cheaper) why should I choose ELE over Superior Drummer 3? What is most celebrated about it is the dynamics and the amount of articulations it has, for example the Hi-Hat... But... But that's nothing new, the Superior Drummer has more than 10 multi-speed articulations for the Hi-Hat, to cite an example... So... I ask again Actually, is there anything that can be highlighted about this drum that makes at least a little difference beyond the obvious?
I have been playing with ELE since release. The drums sound great, but I do have to really wonder why they decided to host it in Kontakt. I'm sure there is a reason for it, but I am not a fan of Kontakt as the few rare times I have had a Reaper crash over the years, the majority seemed Kontakt related. But, them giving us the sounds in TCI files is great as I've been using those beefy toms on about every project I've been working on lately.
I believe the idea (don’t quote me here) was to get the product to market sooner rather than spend forever developing a new platform and not actually release anything for another year! Nothing stopping them from doing that later though…
@@adamsteelproducer I kind of assumed that was the case. I understand the amount of time and work required to capture and process the samples alone, so it makes sense to get the product out and recoup some development cost for sure. I do hope the future does hold a more stand-alone solution along with some more kits/samples to use.
Kontakt has a low barrier of entry for many users, and has a lot of benefits (licensing, distribution, installers, etc). However, we are discussing out own standalone solution.
That’s why it’s soo crazy on the moon lately, I thought it was just the Artemis project getting beings excited about possible earth leave passes! ELE!!!
Great video Adam! You mentioned something about having separate outs like SD3! Unless I don't understand what you mean by separate outs. That's how I use ELE, I send each track out of ELE to its out separate tracks in Cubase. So it's already possible to do that. Glenn's video...was probably not the clearest way of showing that 😅
Thanks Alex! Yeah I know it can be done but Kontakt isn’t the most user friendly by default, if there’s a how-to on the SD site that could be helpful. 👍
The actual library is great, their support not so great, I send messages with questions regarding the plug-in and no answer, toontrack and XLN audio usually respond within 24 hours. Just saying
@@adamsteelproducer to spectrum studios support email, I get their emails like every other day advertising their products, but I guess they are not getting mine lol. No big deal just saying.
I don’t think they get emails at that address! Try going through the website or the discord and they always respond within 24 hours. If not, I’ll let Glenn know and I’m sure he can fix that

Absolutely love the bleed, great raw kit option to route and mix like real drums. Tama kit they added is my favourite.

Thanks for the credit Adam! The album sounds amazing!
Man the bass sounds realllllly good. . I love all the pop punk and punk band you record. Sounds awesome

Nice vid Adam! Glenn just hooked me up with ELE this week, excited to check it out.
Ha ha-The Sky has Fallen! I'll go check out Glenn's video-Thanks Adam!
Much better than what I use. Linn Drums, etc. I love Synthwave 😄
How about KRIMH? which one do you prefer?
I'm looking to learn this too.
How can we please get a tutorial on how to use them with Logic and change the routing? It's not found anywhere.
What did you think to the sound of these drums? Better or worse than what you currently use?
Nothing will ever beat Superior Drummer 3

On par tbh. As it is we're so spolied for choice.

So did you ever figure it out...? I mean, rn I'm using studio drummer.
how do I load the grooves? I'm running Logic Pro and can't get the grooves imported.

Can you add a 3rd rack tom? (or a left side china? .....left ride??)
Did you use a preset rhythm as a starting point or program each drum and cymbal hit one at a time?
For this album it was all programmed by the artist, but no preset rhythms- all custom
@@adamsteelproducer wow I was thinking it was played in from an ekit... that's some good programming there. Mix sounds amazing 👏

Sounds like superior drummer 3 core library

Glenn's stuff is always so pricy. :(
But it's always bloody good!
@@RolandDeschain1 absolutely
It's under a hundred bucks. Wayyyy cheaper than the flagship libraries from Toontrack or Native Instruments
