I congratulate you for tackling this important topic. But really, you’ve made a simple thing very complicated, by trying to address all these situations differently!
There is just one sure and safe way to manoeuvre a bike from the parked position, either on its side stand or centre stand:
    1. Stand on left side of bike. Put side stand down if bike is on centre stand
    2. Motor off, engage first gear
    3. Grab side of seat/rear grab handle/pannier mounting/whatever with right hand
    4. Grab left handlebar with left hand
    5. Pull in clutch and either lift bike off side stand, or pull forward off centre stand ,using right hand
    6. If bike rolls forwards or backwards, or falls to one side, let out the clutch to stop it, and if necessary pull it down onto the side stand
    7. Move the bike by pulling forward or back with the right hand on the grab rail or seat, and use the left hand to steer and the clutch lever as a brake. If you lose control or need a rest, just let out the clutch and drop the bike onto the side stand
I’ve used this method for several years now with my Kawasaki Versys 1000 SE Grand Tourer, with absolutely no issues, and always in control.

NIce little tutorial. I remember when I first started out riding, not paying attention to the ground level when parking at a pub, the front of the bike was on a slight downwards slope. Trying to pull that bike out backwards was no easy task! :P

Any motorcycle over 650 lbs should have reverse.

Yup. Honda did it right. Idk how Harley can push an entire floor of $40-$50k baggers w/o reverse. Besides the trike

Hello from Wisconsin, USA! I just brought home my 2021 Sport Glide last night. This is exactly one of the issues i have to get so get sorted out! I have a narrow drive and the bike is quite long. Turning it around in the drive will be a challenge! Thanks for the great content!

After moving from a sportster to a 20 Street Bob I had real problems backing out of the garage. A UA-cam video enlightened me to clean out the garage and uturn back and forth until it faced out.
The next biggest aid was purchasing good leather motorcycle boots with good grippy souls. I never ride with my old boots anymore

If you haven't already done so, you should make a video on parking the bike. Especially, uphill or downhill. I see so many new riders get turned around on that! LOL

Well I guess I'm screwed. I have an Africa Twin that goes in my garage across the street from mine, up a hill from the roadway, and it has a concrete floor that slopes down towards the back of the garage. The drive goes uphill towards the door then downhill once inside the door. Ideally I'd like to get the bike backed into the garage but to do so I'd have to push it uphill.

I have to wheel the bikes out the shed down a ramp. i tend to put it in gear and use it like a brake and if i have to re adjust myself the bike will stay where it is. i do ride it in to the shed though. literally the height of a curb, but i bought some rubber ramps.

Im scared of the balance point pulling me over the other side so I've usually kept on my hip but doesn't work with cruisers.
