You can remove dried acrylic from fabric with 91% rubbing alcohol.. soak the area and keep it saturated for at least ten minutes. For badly affected clothes, put in plastic bag and pour in the alcohol over the clothes And seal for a few days. Rub the area well under water then wash.. you will need a LOT of ventilation. For dried oil paint in clothes, spray with oven cleaner and wash as usual.

I use plastic containers as well. But I put a sponge cloth in the bottom and soak them .the paint never goes off.
