    My favorite song "Mouthful of Cavities". If this music makes sense to you, then I think we all have been at the same place at one time or another. Anyone who reads this.... I hope you find peace in your life. If nobody has ever told you that they love you. I love you and you are here for a reason!!!!

    its amazing to think, he passed away just a few weeks after this interview, and having his child. What an amazing group they are, sad to die so young.

    "Soup" is such an amazing album. Their first album was gold, but Soup was so dark and naked- like a heavier, intoxicated "Automatic for the People." It's hard to listen to knowing Shannon's demons were beginning to take the reigns. Rest in peace, brother. God bless your family and your daughter.

    My all time favorite episode of Intimate & Interactive. I'd just started high school in grade 9 when this originally aired. I watched it then and have watched it a ton of times since. I miss Shannon.

    I remember watching this live on tv (yeah, I'm old) and thinking Shannon didn't look well. I was less shocked when I heard of his death soon after.

      Crazy thing is I think he might have been sober at this point but I watched the documentary recently and they did say that they were shocked with how he was acting one of the last music videos and Shannon said that he felt like he had become a bad person. It wasn't too long after that he had such a mega relapse.

      @@juneblossom4382 honestly watching this I’m like 95% sure he’s coked out and probably had been on a bender for a few days, that shakiness and struggle to talk is a give away. I’ve been there too unfortunately

      It is, but I think he was sober at this point. He then relapsed in New Orleans on the way to his next gig. 😢

      I know, poor kid thought he was asking him why he asked the question but those of us who have followed Shannon know that he was making a whole statement paragraph: why did I give my life up for drugs?, why do I continue to do them?, why did I decide to enter the music industry?, why did I even leave home?.......

      @@mikeblaz did you see the? That he drew on his forehead during one of his last time singing on TV? They said he was questioning himself and why Kurt Cobain killed himself, and how he didn't want to die and leave his family behind. He was being sincere and in his mind he thought everybody knew what he was referring to. The poor kid of course didn't know and thought that he was asking him why he asked the question. Sad thing is the question was two months before he passed away.

      He was a good person with a bad addiction, a lot of people are addicted to things and I'd like to see them try to get off of them like Shannon did. He was an addict and he ended up having access to whatever he wanted and that got him into the most trouble. 😢 He was trying to get sober for his little girl.

    People who says that bullshit don't even know what music is ; / Shannon was such an amazing person.. His soul... His music... Everytime when I watch interviews or music videos with him I am sad and I just think 'why him?'..
    I love Blind Melon so much.

      Dont look now but Shannon used to record EVERYTHING on his video camera. They just basically put out a video autobiography. Its heartbreaking knowing what happens but it's amazing.

    Actually he was clean at this point. It wasn't until October that he fell off the wagon again. Oh well. People see what they want to see I guess.

      @@lucidkate nope it was confirmed recently that he had been sober and he went on a 2 day coke bender basically and had a heart attack. They think that being clean for a few months and then having a huge party night shocked his heart too much. Zero sleep, cocaine, and your heart can just stop. If someone was around when it happened or saw it happen they may have been able to save him with CPR. Maybe that would have been what it took to realise he needed to stop. Maybe it would have saved him. Maybe.....

      @@thickerconstrictor9037 Shannon took a Speedball(Coke and Heroin together) sometime around 1 AM overnight Friday/Saturday October 27-28,1995. He died during the Early Morning from Heart Failure.
