I met him in 88 (sort of). I was ten. He was by himself smoking in another room, not talking to anyone. I remember him wearing the blue lenses, leaning against the counter, staring at the floor.

Saddens me now to think of what we all missed out on because he left this earth too soon. I guess we should be grateful that we got anything at all. RIP
You can tell he’s a salt of the earth mid-western guy. He had an innocence that comes across in this short interview. It’s so sad that he didn’t get a handle on fame before it swallowed him up. I found his father’s obituary online, Richard Hoon. He passed in 2021 at age 82.

It is so hard to watch anything with Shannon in it. I always end up crying within a minute of seeing his smile. I remember he came to Radford Va. And we met as he was walking out to the bus and I almost hit him with my car lol.We actually remained friends until about 4 months before he passed and it has always bothered me that we were on bad terms and I never got to say that I was sorry for being a jerk. I love you buddy and I hope you are at peace❤❤❤❤🥰🥰🥰🥰
The age difference is well documented. Axl went to school in the Lafayette School District and Shannon went to school in the Tippecanoe Country School District. So there is no way they would have riden the same bus to school. I know this because Shannon and I graduated together and I've known him since we were 13 years old.
