One of the most underestimated rocksongs of the 80s.
This is tongue-in-cheek, southern rock at its very best.
Just fun. Sorta like "Gimme Three Steps".
These boys really listened to Chuck Berry...his riffs all over the place.
My favorite line is, “She told me a story about free milk and a cow.”
Lol
Classic 😊
How many times did we hear this back in the day? Best line ever.
@@jacquiadams6741 I told my mother that I wanted the cow so I could milk it when I wanted, I didn't care what It cost.
She hit me in the head and my fiancee laughed at me😂
Before they married, my mother told my father, "Why buy the cow if you can get the milk for free?". My father replied, "Why would I buy a pair of shoes without trying them on first?". She made him buy the cow. LOL!
True story... I was driving around with my 13 year old niece in the car when this song came on the radio and she said "Oh I love this song!". I say "That's The Georgia Satellites". She leans forward up to the windshield and looks up at the sky and says "Where?".
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkjjj🎸🎸😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Probably one of the most unique songs that ever came out. Love it and am in even with the yodeling (or whatever it is he is doing).
Aqui no Brasil, nós gostamos muito dessa música.
incredibly catchy tune- the vocals speak for themselves here, and the guitars are workin' hard.
Saw them in concert when this song was huge. They opened for Tom Petty. Loved the 80s
I saw them open for Jimmy Page and Robert Plant on their No Quarter tour (1998). Peace.
Me too, miss the 80's!
I have a platinum copy of this album hanging on my wall. Very proud of it.
@@Hobodeluxe960 8 track? In the 80s? Didn't know that they were still being made then.
@@TonyM1961 I didn't either 😂
I was in a similar situation but no shotgun. My first wife was pregnant before we got married but her parents didn't want us to get married because she was 17 and I was 20. We did anyway and raised three wonderful children over the next 20 years. This video is great!
It's amazing how much of a difference three years can make when we're young, but later it makes no difference at all. I met my wife-to-be when I was 32 and she was 24, and that eight year difference was a challenge at first especially from my POV, but less so the older we got until by twenty years later it made no difference at all. If we had met any earlier than that the difference probably would have been too much and it wouldn't have worked, and TOO much earlier would have landed me in jail. 😄
Oh gosh, I dated the love of my life in the 80s. He loved this song. Good memories. ❤️❤️❤️
This came out when I was in my 20's. I'm more of a R&B person, but this my Song! Every time this Song came on the radio EVERYBODY in the car started singing it and having fun. It's fun and very unique. I still love it. Good memories 😊
One of the best gigs I ever did was a blues-rock show at a wedding out in the country on a farm...I was nervous 'cause I was the ONLY black dude there, but my flashy keyboard playing won 'em over and I got treated like royalty--got tipped big and took home lotsa food and hugs!
Southern rock that'll make you smile😁
"That's when she told me a little story, 'bout free milk and a cow" One of my all time favorite lines in any song LOL
My friend rode on an airplane trip that the band, The Georgia Satellites rode on, everybody in coach class! Said they were extremely nice and very southern!
In the late 80s, this song was sung aloud by every girl in every bar. As a dude doing the flirting, it made you sit up straight!
Awesome guitars in this song
A great song, I love the “story of free milk and a cow” line
"A military wedding...well, there were guns there."
Red Skelton
Great rock anthems of the 80's. Great review on this classic.Motto of the day "Keep Your Hands To Yourself"
I have played this tune hundreds of times, in every rock and country band I've been in (7 bands on 3 different instruments) since it was released 30 sumpin' years ago. Always gets the crowd moving. Saw them many times live. Hung out with the majority of them in the early 80's at Baker Street in Atlanta when they were the Hell Hounds
Same. This is also a great song to just play lead to for a while as a filler lol like you can play this song for 15-20 minutes cause it's a basic blues blues progression lol
Isn't this video filmed on some backroads in Georgia?😊
Baird (the singer and writer of GS) said this song just made him laugh... it makes me wanna take a pickup through downtown Stockholm.
That lucite bodied guitar was the coolest thing I had ever seen. GREAT song!
Always loved this tune!
I still do
Had a friend said "this song makes me to drive fast " I thought you know he's right!!
She should've been worried about more than his hands! Lol. Love the song. Enjoyed your reaction! Peace!
This is such a fun song! Great reaction, y'all!!
Even though Georgia Satellites didn't last, Dan Baird (lead singer/song writer) has had a long solo career. You need to check out "I love you Period"
I saw them play this at Piedmont Park in Atlanta in the late 80's, one of my favorites.
I have always loved this song 🎶
The lead singer had some solo stuff later on. Please look up Dan Baird "I Love You Period" It's a fun one
Perfect choice for the day. Excellent song.
In a world where there are SO MANY great reactors. You both stand head and shoulders above the rest. Your ability to draw us in and make us feel what you do is unmatched. Thank you. Keep up the good work. I am a HUGE fan.
Wow, thank you!
Such a fun song. I've always loved jamming to this song and rockin' out.
One of my favorite bands with one of myfavorite reactors.
😁 So glad you got to hear this. 😁
This song always makes me chuckle! 😆
I love how y'all know good music when you hear it.
Great reaction to a great song
yeah, good one!
Your reaction may quite possibly be my favorite video of all time... about anything!
Hilarious 😂 got it. I will do my best to keep my hands to myself today
Been an AGE since I've heard this!
My ex hubby insisted on this being the wedding reception first song/dance lol!!
Imagine a dove grey morning coat tux and an ivory lace with a heart cutout back dress gettin down as this blasted out in front of all our wedding guests...
Of course, we got married on the beach in Carmel by the Sea where I was born so maybe they were up for anything after trudging through deep white sand haha!
Totally a fun song and apropos for today! 👍👍👍
You get married, then on your wedding night you start singing Aerosmith's Dude Looks Like A Lady! Aw Hell no. This song is a great jam. Georgia Satellites is one band I"m really sad I never saw in concert. A ZZ Top and Georgia Satellites night would be amazing.
EVERYONE gets up to dance to this song!!
If you guys like the Georgia Satellites, check out the band The Spin Doctors, and their song "Little Miss (Can't Be Wrong)".
I got to see them so many times playing in little clubs in Atlanta before they got signed. So much fun.
Also probably one of the most fun songs ever. Just pure joy & good humor. 👍♥️🙂
The Hippy Hippy Shake is a really fun two minute novelty song - from the Cocktail soundtrack. The video is a little risque with a lot of.....body shaking - but also has fun movie clips in it too. Worth checking out.
I saw these guys open for Tom Petty in the 80's when I was in highschool. Great show.
It's party time down South.
You absolutely have to listen to the sequel to that song now.
"Battleship chains"
Always loved this song. One of the best southern rock songs ever!
Love the reactions love watching you all two wonderful people I’m a fan
Another great win from this time is Dave Edmunds band oh, I hear you knocking but you can't come in. And if you listen closely in the middle oh, he's naming off all of these great older mostly black performers that were his influences and were all great in their own right. Also Johnny Rivers, Rockin pneumonia and the Boogie Woogie Blues.
A great song that makes you smile 😃
What I Think ??? I think I am digging you both more each day. BJ, you are such a cool character and Asia ... man, when you smile, the world lights up ... and it brightens🌞 my day 👍😊😉🌹😎!!!
I bet that there are a lot of people out there that wish they had said keep your hands to yourself at least one time in their lives. I know that I do.
This band always reminds me of the Black Crowes. I love both bands. Just some great feel good fun songs.
THIS SONG CAME OUT MY SENIOR YEAR IN HIGH SCHOOL, TOTALLY ROCKS!!🥰🔥
Just such a great song and so fun
Love them!!!!! Love them!!!! And the group's back together
A fun country rock song.
You should check out a song titled: "And We Danced" by a group called The Hooters. It sort of has a similar feel to this one.
Philly boys...
This song is such a blast! Good choice!👍
Hey guys I love your reaction to this one 🤣🤣😆😆😎😎 = it is a FUN Song = about 30 years ago 🙄😏 a friend of mine had a local band and Doug did a great job on the vocals & he had a killer lead guitarist = My wife at that time & I (plus everyone else on the dance floor) had an absolute blast dancing and singing along with this song 😎😎😎😎😎😎
Yeah that sin got him a shotgun wedding 💑 lmao 🤣 thanks for your reaction hope ya'll have a blessed evening ❤️ 🙏
I'm glad I finally got to see you react to this one, LOL. This was fun; thanks!
So fun to listen to and your comments in the beginning about the title were funny.
Performed many shows with GS, great bunch of guys.
The lyrics are very witty! Free milk and a cow! 🤣😂
B-B-B-baby baby baby why you wan' treat me this way
You know I'm still your lover boy I still feel the same way
That's when she told me a story, 'bout free milk and a cow
And said no hug-ee no kiss-ee until I get a weddin' vow
My honey my baby, don't put my love upon no shelf
She said don't hand me no lines and keep your hands to yourself
What a fun song. I'm going to request this at my next wedding reception I go to!
LOVE this song... so fun to two step to!! Lol
I love this song! So glad y'all got to see it.
The lyrics in this tune remind me of Put A Ring On It by Beyonce! The lyrics are basically saying "You Ain't Gettin None Until We Is Officially, Legally and Morally Hitched!" And don't you forget it!
Nice one BJ "keep your hands to your self" LOL gold😁😂🤣
Loved it! Keep yo hands to yourself boy so much to unpack 🔥🔥🔥
One of the best songs ever
This song is so much fun!😂
Some girls want you to keep your hands to yourself, some don't; Sawyer Brown once sang "Some girls don't like boys like me, awe but some girls do."
Love this song! It's just fun.
Great guitar work!!!
..."Class of 76"...Got him Hook, line and sinker!
so good... and ahead of their time!
Ohhhhhhhh yeah!
We all knew you were going to love this one.............
This song always makes me laugh. Haha! Such a classic.
If you enjoy this style of singing try Jewel's tune Who Will Save Your Soul.
Always loved this song
Love the reaction. Whenever you get around to it they had some more JAMS...
Hahaha....u guys kill me. 🤣😂 Love ur reaction. ♥️💯😎
I enjoyed seeing your son's reactions to the first round of lyrics 😂 1:58
Asia is fine. Their reaction is fun to watch.
Such a great classic!
WAY TO FEEL IT!!! Great reaction ❤ 🔥 🤣

"The flesh is weak! The flesh is weak!" You preacher man!
Hahahaha love the reaction!
I know I've requested the black crowes before but bj these dudes are right up your alley do Remedy the because Asia you gotta see the lead singer perform he is what you call a real front man the southern rock runs deep in this band.
You should check out: Georgia Satellites - Battleship Chains
It's almost like the happy part 2 ending of this song. Peace 😀
