- St George's Hall, Liverpool. 12th may 1984 (I search since years a STEREO version from this concert, or from ''killing Moon'' from THIS concert, please tell me if you can help! Thank you)
You know this comforting kind of ''Shivers down my spine'' beginning @ 01:53 ?
Hi thanx for love. Great proper musicians from my city. Peace to you .
I feel that during the entire theme
What instruments are those? Guitar??
аааа, действительно, мурашки
It’s akin to Roland’s solo in “Shout”
One of the best songs ever written
it's partly the vocal. It doesn't work without his voice and delivery.
@@transamination the whole band is firing tho
His voice was unbelievable
Don’t google him singing from 2010 on, just remember the magic that was.
Everything about this sound is brilliant but for me the bass takes the biscuit. The bassist is just so cool.
Making love to that thing
And the drummer is arguably the best at his craft to have emerged from this golden era of British music. To my mind the best era in terms of musical creativity and both sophistication and social awareness in lyrical content. Nine or ten years of what seemed like endless treasures of musically diverse output.
He was particularly commanding in this performance
This rock band was performing this song in 1984, after many years, in 1996 I was born and in 2023 I am listening to it. What a masterpiece
Well said, Goku! It's a great song.
I just doesn’t get any better than this.
Hauntingly beautiful
I think I just fell in love with his voice
Absolutely fucking perfect. I saw them in London that year (or maybe 85) and they blew my mind. I was 16. Still listen to them every day. This makes me sadhappy.
Sadhappy: a perfect way to sum up the emotions this song evokes
"Fate...Up against your will...Through the thick and thin..."
On top of their game on this one
I had no idea how good they were live! Wow
80s is one of the best decades for talented voices…we need more of this today
Every one of them killing it 🖤 this is phenomenal live. What a song!
My first gig! Not a bad start!
Video?
Hypnotic. This was one of those songs you listened to while laying on the bed and trying to figure out how you were going to successfully ask out the girl at school. I miss the 80s so much. I had this singer’s haircut, and also a list of girlfriends. Lol.
Simp
Dude, I listen to this song a lot with similar issues lol
@@fellafreedom7210 Lifeless fektard new age waste. Typical throwaway society waste you are.
I sent a girl in school a note on day. She wrote me a note back. She politely declined my offer. She went on to marry that guy. So close and yet so far away.
An ode to simpler times. Loved the 80’s.
This song reminds me of a crisp fall night driving with a with a hoodie on and a cool breeze rolling through the sunroof with a joint fired up.
Just found this . What a fantastic live version. I had no idea they were that good live
Gotta be in the top 5 best songs ever written this.
Ians vocals were made to sing that.
Outstanding.
This is the best live version ..In their PRIME please release this as a CD Album , with DVD one of Liverpools finest
BEAUTIFUL SONG.. GREETINGS FROM MEXICO
Such a GREAT SONG!! One of the ABSOLUTE BEST Songs Ever!
best song ever written
Wow, I never realized how good this band was back in the '80's. What an amazing live performance. I wish I was there.
what a masterpiece. one of the most beautiful songs ever made and Ian's voice is magical! so are his lips! 😋😍😍😍
Saw this tour in San Francisco (I was a student at Berkeley) with Let's Active opening. Earlier in the tour Billy Bragg opened I believe. 0h the 80s.....
Billy Bragg, the dopey socialist or useful idiot to borrow from Stalin.
Billy Bragg Saw him in the Peppermint lounge in 16 street 5th ave NYC
Timeless
Had to be seen to be believed. Beautiful then and now.
Just saw them doing this on Liverpool arena Saturday night - fantastic.
Best song ever written!! 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
They played in my country a couple of years back and they played this twice!!!
80s forever !!!!!
What a voice, brilliant all round. 👏👏👏👏
SUPERMOON 🌕
listening 🎧 from Philippines
Obviously this is too magical to be real.
Brilliant song, great musicians and a lead singer blessed with one of the greatest voices in pop/rock music history. Fellow Liverpudlians, The Beatles, never created anything better than you're hearing right here, or even better, the extended all night version of the same.
Excellent vocals! To me the song is a timeless masterpiece.
A great live performance of one of my favorite songs! Got to love the 80's.
Love this song
Espetacular
Can't recall these guys being all that big in North America. But I've always been fascinated by this tune and the poetic lyrics. Sounds great live!
Spectacular. So perfect.
One of my favorites...love this version...good job...as always...😍🎵🎶🐰
Killing it!
Nice voice and vocals technique. The best i ever seen.
sarap sariwain ung panahon ko,,,sarap pakinggan...
I like this better than the studio version
underated video. beautiful song and performance
The best song of all time
INICIO DE UMA GRANDE CARREIRA DO ECHO, MARAVILHOSO!!!
take me again.....wave me back in time...............
I played this at a personalized speed of 1.15, and now it sounds like an epic live presentation at Albert Hall in 1983.
My best friend and I recently share our best songs ever list. This was top of mine.
Just haunting
Cracking tune from my youth 👍❤️
Fantastic job Dex.... cheers
How good is that??!!:) wow
Is this seriously a life performance? If so, WOW. Better than the studio version.
Live , not Life !!
Yeah, it's 100% live! Bands used to actually play their own instruments and sing their own tunes, all the time, and sound like they did on their albums. What a concept uh?
Just amazing, so glad I was born in the sixties, never liked The Beatles.
This was soooooo good in the eighties.
Not a band I listen to except for this song. However, they are tight. They play live like it's a studio recording. Shows their knowledge of timing and working as a group rather than individuals. They must have minimal egos all around, I assume.
Have you heard " the cutter " ?
@@soulerflare7 No, but I'll check it out. Thanks!
@@NoirHammer "Ocean Rain" is one of the best songs ever written dude
Lead singer has a big ego. He has claimed that this is the best song ever written.
@@transamination hes not wrong though 🤭
I don't even know what to do with you if you can't recognize the merit of this one.
Awesome chorus!!!
xoxo The Clarences
Guitars with the "least" amount of "bass" that I've ever heard. "Echo" is all about "treble"! Great song! Wahi' Valleys
I always said the same thing Treble is what made the bunny men great
Thanks Amanda :-)
WTF Awesome video!
Wow wow wow 👍👍👍👍👍👍🥂🥂🥂🥂
Ian's ancient Gaelic/Scandinavian vocal affect, a common affect with singers from Northern England and Scotland.
He's got a nice voice
Wow.Great version
This is the only song to ever exist
Love this theme
Yeah man!!!
Epic
linda musica
Quem tá ouvindo em 2021?
pete de freitas... gratidão
great fucking song
Sucha cool song

1980’s at its best
O Echo conseguiu isso na versão de People are Strangers do The Doors!!!! Raríssimas bandas conseguem tal feito.
Eles tentaram cantar Turquoise Days, acho que 2018, Ian quase não conseguiu terminar a música
Great... the guitar leader is critical
❤️💜❤️
💕❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕❤️
hard to believe this is a song created by humans
Chulada
This is the theme song for my pretend dark wave podcast.
Under blue moon, I saw you
So soon you'll take me
Up in your arms, too late to beg you
Or cancel it, though I know it must be
The killing time
Unwillingly mine
Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give yourself to him
In starlit nights, I saw you
So cruelly, you kissed me
Your lips, a magic world
Your sky, all hung with jewels
The killing moon
Will come too soon
Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give yourself to him
Under blue moon, I saw you
So soon you'll take me
Up in your arms, too late to beg you
Or cancel it, though I know it must be
The killing time
Unwillingly mine
Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give yourself to him
Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give yourself to him
You give yourself to him
La
La, la, la, la
La, la, la, la
La, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la
Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give yourself to him
You give yourself to him
La, la
La, la, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la, la

Les was giving Steve Hanley a run for his money on that base. You figure it out
EATB on tour now!
The bass ( in certain parts ) p is like man of the moon from Rem , coincidence ?? The moon only knows ...
🤘🤘🤙🤙⌛️⌛️
This should have 88 mil views not 88k
I love EATB before the affectations of Ian and his coat.
