Welcome to north kakalack Joe! Greensboro native here and i just watched your Z nismo video and then this pops up! Keep up the good work and awesome as always!
I had a GT 350 with the Recaro seats. I wasn’t really thrilled with them. I’m a big guy 6 foot 240 pounds and I felt squashed. I literally considered asking him if they could swap them out but I never did because right after that, I shattered my hip and couldn’t drive it anymore so I got rid of it. What a Roush Pick up truck
My question Joe 2018 GT 350 - about 10k miles for around 62k or the Dark Horse at 68k (Msrp) if it’s marked up more than 5k forget it. Anyone feel free to answer.
Tough call...I've been in a mustang since 2015 so I'd go DH just because I'm tired of looking at the same interior. If you're just getting in to one, I'd go Shelby. That VooDoo motor is just special.
@@tri3pleagent thx - yeah most likely either 2018 or 2019 GT 350. Possibly 2021 Mach one with handling package. This will depend on price - availability- features. Ideally 2019 GT but prices are still crazy.
Out of all the new 24 Stangs you have reviewed Joe ... this is the Best looking ... and Best optioned yet ... and of course Most Expensive. Things are becoming more Niche.
Yeah, Ford was saying no markups for the Darkhorse. So we went to our local Ford dealer and got on the list for when the order banks opened up. Dealership said, no markups as long as we ordered the car. Order banks opened up and salesman told everyone of us on the list that there was going to be a $20,000 markup on the car. We told him no thank you. We're not giving GT350 money for the Darkhorse
What I like best about you Joe is you tell it like it is and you’re not afraid to zonk features from a new hyped up car, like so many other gutless reviewers here that are too afraid to rock the boat, then speak the truth
I'll Always Love you Hollywood Hayden, and my Ford Motor Company A/Z purchasing plan. Kinda of a Cool car for Kirby Reed sweating Bullets from a Chiappa Rhino .357 Magnum.
Damn awesome looking car, but thats the same msrp as a new ZL1, I dont think that car could touch the Zl1 in a race straight line or track, however this car looks better in my opinion. Great review, thank you.
That's a valid argument here...I love the ZL1 1LE and it has proven to be the best of the ponies on the track, but this darkhorse has yet to prove it belongs.....I love it and would take it over a GT350....can't believe I'm saying this...😊
@@rickitysplitz7035 how so, the regular 2018 gt track pack doesnt come close to a ZL1 and this new mustang isnt far off from the s550. the older gt350 is probably faster than this car on the track. No chance it comes close to a zl1. both zl1 and the darkhorse 72k msrp ( not including the mark-ups thats going to happen since its new) . Zl1 takes it by a long shot performance wise.
As a Camaro guy, I’d love to get one of these in a few years, as it’s really grown on me. But these prices are getting insane, especially while there’s supposedly going to be a Shelby coming as a 2026 model. (Yes, I know I should get the Camaro but it’ll be harder to find one speced the way I’d like it)
I got mine! Dark Horse 10R80 in blue ember serial #605. It handles way better than the GT and the steering is so much better, the breaking power is serious as well. Planning on modifying CAI, LT Headers, E85 to start. Can't wait to see it come alive with a solid tune, word is 10-12 months to crack the tuning. So sport 4S tire swap and rear seat delete for now.
I wish I had swung by just to meet Joe and the Dark Horse would’ve been a cool bonus, though that Grabber Blue looks like it’s my speed! The coolest Mustang I ever had the opportunity to drive was a 70 Boss 429 in Grabber Blue. That one left an impression on me and that’s gotta be my favorite Mustang ever
Thanks for all the Rides over the years Joe... This one has got to be one of the best . Top 5 for sure... Keep The rides coming.. And Congrats on the 1.02 million subs...just want to throw this out there for you... any Trips to europe autobaun in Germany and to find out why they get more HP in there cars then the ones they make for us?.. Europe Trip would be COOL !! Thanks Joe
It’s still to much for a mustang with only 500 the dark horse should have more horsepower how can you go from the GT 486 HP to dark horse at 500 and the price is almost 17,000 more ..stop it ford and the mustang GTD with 805 HP is 300,000 grand Ford is Stupid
@@poohwecampbell7799 Well, if you fully option out a GT, you can actually exceed the price of a dark horse. I just saw a new GT with a $63k sticker. What you get in a dark horse is more than just extra HP. For starters, the chassis and suspension are more track focused. The cooling system is massively better, the aero is better, In the car just sticks way better in the corners. Couple that with the handling package and it's a really good track car for the money, almost ZL1 1LE good. But that exhaust note on the Dark Horse is incredible, just a little more oomph over the GT. The engine is just built stronger and more mod ready as well, and the biggest difference that makes it worth it is the Tremec 6-speed transmission, similar to the GT350. Absolute manual transmission Bliss. You cannot get this on the GT, which gives you the Getrash. To me personally, the Tremec alone is worth all the extra money. But when it's all said and done, you are only talking about a $5K difference in price from a similarly loaded GT, but with $15k worth of added stuff.
It pisses me off that we are dumping all gas cars for electric. We aren't ready for electric and they have a massive amount of issues from catastrophic failure to charging them. There's something for being able to buy a car like that and being able to modify it.
It pisses me off too! EV's are also prone to catching on fire, especially in the heat, and battery fires are next to impossible to extinguish. Further, most of the cobalt and lithium ion mines are owned by one of our enemies, with relations between us and them at their worst. The charging station infrastructure is also a joke.
The Mustang is the Chosen One. Thanks Joe! Best auto reviews, anywhere, any time. I do think all the black pieces in the nose end should match in finish though. And throughout the car imho. Think I'll stick with my Black 14' GT prem. manual. Too much fun, and, paid off.
@@JohnHoganN8 the last thing I want to do after work is hop in my Stang and look at a couple IPads. Plus the dash itself just plain out looks like a cheap Jap car. Stangs we’re built to be cheap that everyone could afford. And then you drive them into the ground while having fun. Long gone are them days. Only thing I can say is, their the last ones standing in pony market . Who haven’t bailed into the EV junk.

Greetings Joe & Lori from downunder Melbourne Australia.
Love your reviews, especially the new Ford Mustang GT & DarkHorse.
As a current owner of a 2022 Mustang GT, this review has sealed it for me to upgrade to the new DarkHorse next year. Keep going "on throttle." Looking forward to the next review.
Zonk the combo of matte grey and gloss black on the front.
I can understand where you are coming from.
Possibly the best car review EVER!! Nicely done!!!!
Add options to it and it’s in the price range of the m2 and used zl1’s and hellcats and the 350/350R
This is very true!
Thank you Joe for the eargasm!🏎️💨💨💨!!! Thank you Lori for working like a ninja 🥷!!!
Welcome to north kakalack Joe! Greensboro native here and i just watched your Z nismo video and then this pops up! Keep up the good work and awesome as always!
Thanks for sharing that! I appreciate you having my back!
JOE WE NEED YOU IN THE BLACK PANTHER ZL1 PLEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN
Stay tuned I have it coming!
Joe and Lori that was the best! On throttle super. I'm also impressed Ford builds that car. What a blast.
What a beast! Oh, and the car is good, too! 😉
Thanks for saying that!
$76k for a 5.0 never thought I'd see the day Ford is smoking crack
Are you Not a fan of Coyote engine?
What other options do you really have?
@@Platos-Den got my base 15 5.0 for $28k after rebates and 0% interest sp $380 payment lol
@RaitisRides used or brand new SS 1LE it'll beat this around any track half the price
@@RaitisRides what's your gut feeling on the new generation Charger/Challenger with a possible incline 6 turbo?
There has never been a perfect mustang but have loved every single one since 64.. 🇺🇸
Beautiful car 😍
I am glad that you think so.
It’s so cool Joe, your doing what you love 👍🏼
Love the videos
Thank you for letting me share my car passion with you Jesse!
My question Joe
2018 GT 350 - about 10k miles for around 62k or the Dark Horse at 68k (Msrp) if it’s marked up more than 5k forget it.
I would go Shelby personally
Out of all the new 24 Stangs you have reviewed Joe ... this is the Best looking ... and Best optioned yet ... and of course Most Expensive. Things are becoming more Niche.
Yeah, Ford was saying no markups for the Darkhorse. So we went to our local Ford dealer and got on the list for when the order banks opened up. Dealership said, no markups as long as we ordered the car. Order banks opened up and salesman told everyone of us on the list that there was going to be a $20,000 markup on the car. We told him no thank you. We're not giving GT350 money for the Darkhorse
That's sad. Shooting themselves in the foot. A Dark Horse does them no good if it stays sitting on their lot.
Clearly you picked the wrong dealership.
It is going to be interesting to see how it goes.
@@theshadowtalksexactly, not all will do that...most will, but not all
Loving that grabber blue color of that Dark Horse 2024 Mustang! Raiti always delivers 100%!
Joe, sounds like a good darn deal to go the dark side of the pony stable. Love the blue, amd the black breaks it up just enough.
It is a beautiful beast!
Joe , you are such a driver . And this is the perfect car for you to review! Thank you
What I like best about you Joe is you tell it like it is and you’re not afraid to zonk features from a new hyped up car, like so many other gutless reviewers here that are too afraid to rock the boat, then speak the truth
I enjoy each and every car review that you do. They are very informative.
Thank you Joe for bringing this first drive of this brand new Mustang Dark Horse 2024🙏🏽
You are so very welcome.
@@RaitisRidesJoe this dark horse looks really sharp with this blue color
Love the enthusiasm in this video.
Since there's no Camaro after 24', it's good to see a Ford Mustang: Camaro edition
Camaro ss 1le performance with Ford's pricing 😂
I see what you did there!
I'll Always Love you Hollywood Hayden, and my Ford Motor Company A/Z purchasing plan.
Kinda of a Cool car for
Kirby Reed sweating Bullets from
a Chiappa Rhino .357 Magnum.
Damn awesome looking car, but thats the same msrp as a new ZL1, I dont think that car could touch the Zl1 in a race straight line or track, however this car looks better in my opinion. Great review, thank you.
The track is debatable
😂 The ZL1 1LE is superior in every single way....except visibility.
That's a valid argument here...I love the ZL1 1LE and it has proven to be the best of the ponies on the track, but this darkhorse has yet to prove it belongs.....I love it and would take it over a GT350....can't believe I'm saying this...😊
@@ClickbaitMotorsports....that 7:15 lap at the nurburgring solidifies the ZL1 1LE as the best of the ponies on the track for sure
❤ Wow what a beautiful car.
I totally agree with you!
When he said, "I don't give a damn about the trunk," I almost peed myself! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I think the ON THROTTLE experience on the road looks better on video because the trees blur with the speed which is 😍 rather than on the track 👍
I am glad that I was able to bring both!
Thanks joe i think it was worth the wait but im going to keep my mach 1
You have a keeper!
Dark horse 🔥👍🏿
It is a beast!
This is easily the best sounding Coyote, to date. Thanks for the great video and so many "On Throttle!!!!"s haha. You're the best!
I WANT ONE!!!
I know ho you feel!
Great Review Joe&Lori!! Ooooon Thottle!!!! That V8 sounds awesome 🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎
I know doesn't it.
Mustang does its best impression of a Camaro 🤔
LOL I see what you did there!
@@RaitisRides lol
by what, getting cancelled again?
Blue Ember is THE color for this model. I'd have to go with 20 inch wheels, too. Awesome car!
Sounds good to me!
As a Camaro guy, I’d love to get one of these in a few years, as it’s really grown on me. But these prices are getting insane, especially while there’s supposedly going to be a Shelby coming as a 2026 model. (Yes, I know I should get the Camaro but it’ll be harder to find one speced the way I’d like it)
The ZL1 1Le is just perfect though.
Is there really a shelbly coming ?
@@Spiritcr1jsher according to the official ford museum, yes.
Grabber Blue on this S650 Mustang looks awesome!
It is my favorite color.
Great car. Unfortunate timing. The bottom fell out on muscle cars now with high interest rates and high inflation.
Unfortunately for some but not for me. Waiting on DH with grin.
@@theshadowtalks You are a lucky guy.
Not for everyone.
@@RaitisRides Thank you. First pony car. Was bummed out when all the American muscle cars (besides the Corvette) went Biden.
This is a Pony Car by definition. Horses all arround. In the name (twice), in the design, in the engine...
You are so very right about that!
Oh Man now that is the car just last night I said I'd rather this over the Nismo . On Throttle !
Oh heck yeah!
Thanks Joe
Sadly that $72,000 gonna end in a Dealer for a $100,000+ in the dealerships😒
Fingers crossed it does not turn out that way.
Most dealers are only trying to get $5k to $10k over. I'm getting mine at MSRP because I called around early.
Darn Joe you looked like you had a blast the car is insane I can't wait for mines I already have one on order....
I know how you feel!
@@MisterMikeTexas That is another great point Mike.
It does seem like car manufacturers are pushing EV on us, but if the public keeps buying them, they will keep making them.
Exactly 💯
The Mustang is the Chosen One. Thanks Joe! Best auto reviews, anywhere, any time. I do think all the black pieces in the nose end should match in finish though. And throughout the car imho. Think I'll stick with my Black 14' GT prem. manual. Too much fun, and, paid off.
70k for a non boosted mustang is crazy.
Who gaf about boosted, how old are you? 13?
11:28 Damn I love the sound!
That kind of money can buy a well-equipped C8. 🥴
You sure about that?
A decently optioned C8 is 80-90k, tell him Joe
Amazing review as always! Thank you Joe & Lori!
I’m sorry, the dash is hideous. Looks like a cheap import.
Agree 💯 Like a Hyundai Tuscon.
Maybe when you see it in person it will grow on you.
