Hi!:) At this time, in response to lots of requests, I prepared Chopin’s Fantaisie-Impromptu, Op. 66. This piece was published after Chopin died. For this piece, there are two versions which are mainly played by pianists. When Chopin died, he wished that his unpublished works and sketches would be burned. But, his friend Julian Fontana did not burn them. So, the first version of Fantaisie-Impromptu was published by Julian Fontana (1855 edition). Until the edition by Rubinstein, only this version was known for Fantaisie-Impromptu. In 1960, Rubinstein obtained the "Album of the Baroness d'Este" which had been sold at auction in Paris. In this album, he found the Fantaisie-Impromptu (1835) written by Chopin’s own hands, which was dedicated to Baroness d’Este a long time ago. Based on several reasons, Rubinstein was convinced that it was the final work of the Fantaisie-Impromptu. And, he found that there are significant alterations and improvements in harmony and style in Fontana’s edition. So, Rubinstein decided that the manuscript should be published. As a result, Rubinstein's edition based on the manuscript was published in 1962. When I checked UA-cam, I found that the first version (by Fontana) has been played mainly. Personally, I like Rubinstein’s version. So, I prepared Fantaisie-Impromptu (Rubinstein Edition). I found that there is a sheet in IMSLP. But, it wasn't exactly the same as the Rubinstein’s edition. I will just attach the IMSLP version sheet in the description. I hope that you guys enjoy this performance!! Have a nice day!

You're inspiring, and definitely striving to be as good as you (one day) as i practice everyday, even with my work schedule. All the best!
Kassia! Absolutely wonderful! I can't describe the feeling of how wonderful this interpretation is! I will tell you one thing though. I can tell you have practiced this a lot. How can I tell that, you might be asking yourself. Well, it's your fluency. How can I describe it... You didn't look like you were having much trouble playing what note was supposed to be played! Now, I am not a pianist, but I know enough about the piano to say that when you first start playing a piece, people tend to tense up and get frustrated over sightreading it, or even practicing maybe the 1st or 2nd day. Now you, on the other hand, looked completely comfortable with it! And not only was it so clean, you managed to put so much emotion into it! The transition was on point! It went from being like a swarm of bees invading a picnic, to being like a dreamy picnic on the top of a hill under the sunset, with the occasional gust of wind (I use that analogy a lot). In short, amazing. Just like all of your other performances.
With this interpretation, you proved that too much speed doesn’t matter.Thank you not only for showing that you can play fast, but also playing with your feelings . I’ve been waiting Chopin Waltz op 64 no 2 for a while. I’m working on it and i really want to listen your interpretation💗

If I could define this piece in only 2 words, those would be: disturbing fantasy. The left hand in constant arpeggios creates this sensation of unsettledness… as if one is floating and cannot feel a safe ground beneath his feet. This feeling of fantasy, this sensation of being far above reality and its safe ground, floating in a realm of sensations and emotions, is created by Chopin in many of his pieces; but this is perhaps the only work of his in which this atmosphere of fantasy is pessimistic and tragic. Usually, this unsettled emotion that Chopin creates is elevated, serene, tranquil and worryless. But in this piece… this is the feeling of drowning in your own anxiety and desperation all while being in this realm far-from reality. This is an extremely heavy piece in terms of emotion and mood, but at the same time, it is utterly beautiful. While listening to it, it is so terrible to feel this sensation of transcending mere reality and entering a fantasy world of anxiety and desperation where everything feels unsettled and senseless; but at the same time, one can only stand in awe before this peculiar atmosphere. I always felt like the beginning of this piece is more grounded and real, but still, it is extremely anxious and nervous. This struggle, against perhaps an event in one’s life that gives him desperation or the terrible sensation of having nostalgia from something that is forever lost, continues on its grounded state until 0:23, where our suffering character enters a complete state of dream, hypnosis, sleep-walking, fantasy… but this ethereal place is filled only by desperation and pain. At 1:01, our character returns to the real world, but with intense anger. The middle section seems like the more traditional Chopin fantasy, but still, sadder than those; it has this feeling of nostalgia, but filled with longing and desire to be back in better times… perhaps this represents having good memories during a moment of crisis? After the repeat of the intense section, which represents an escape from that good state of remembering happy moments, the piece recalls that moment, but in a grounded and optimistic way, which is defined by the melody being on the bass. At last, the piece ends serenely, in spite of its insane and absurdly painful troubles.
Classical music is a wonderful form of art that has the ability to connect the soul with the spirit. The works of great masters like Mozart and Beethoven still possess the magical power to captivate and soothe the mind.

At last, the piece ends serenely, in spite of its insane and absurdly painful troubles.
wow lol
WOW
Classical music is a wonderful form of art that has the ability to connect the soul with the spirit. The works of great masters like Mozart and Beethoven still possess the magical power to captivate and soothe the mind.
Thanks for the piece as always Kassia : )
