@@annasun213 I'm at intermediate II (Started a few months ago knowing practically nothing about playing the piano) and I can honestly say I've learned a lot, but this piece makes my head reel. I haven't even tried and I'm already confused. xD
Pianists really amaze me, how do they split their brain into two different entities in order to play completely different hand movements, time signatures, rhythm, dexterity....I can't really put into words the complexity of physicality required to play compositions like this. Incredible.
I'm nowhere near as good as this, but I do have an answer: practice. You know how you don't really think about what you're doing when you walk? It wasn't always like that; Babies have to spend a long time getting a handle on that skill. However, once you put enough time into it you stop thinking about it entirely. Some part of your brain sees a pattern in what you're doing and starts picking up the slack for you. Playing piano, or really any difficult skill, is just like this. You do the same thing over and over, and eventually your brain picks up on the patterns. It's actually a little freaky watching your own mind figure stuff out on it's own, learning to do things that feel like they should be impossible. But, it is possible. It's just how the human brain works. Do the thing a lot, then it becomes second nature. Some people think this somehow takes away from the "specialness" of attaining such high proficiency in a thing, but I disagree. If anything, it's more impressive. You need to truly love a craft to sink that kind of time into it.
Idk about everyone else but I don’t really split my brain in two at all. I have to practice each hand separately, then together. Eventually the rhythms of the two halves merge into a complete piece. I can hear the two halves fully separately in real time, but my hands move together and anticipate and thus rely on each others movements.
My favorite part is around 2:40 when you know the main riff is coming back but with this new trilly flare and you know it's about to be insane. This piece is amazing now, and I can only imagine how ridiculous it must have been when it originally debuted to the world. Lovely!
Many years ago in the 50s the girls school,I attended had an assembly every morning. There were lots of very take ted pianists in our ranks, and every morning whilst we were assembling there would be piano music before the Head in her flowing gown walked down the aisle to commence the day. As soon as the doors opened , the pianist would stop, only once did the Head wait outside the door , transfixed like the rest of us by this exquisite piece of music played by a gifted 14 year old.

I'm sorry Kassia for commenting this on your channel but I can't take this arguing. Sorry guys for being so drama on this. By the way, Kassia, excellent performance. Keep it up!
I found this comment now.:) I felt how much you like classical pieces and Rousseau. I also don't like comparing artists. Sometimes, I want to remove some comments like that. Until now, I'm not erasing it because I think that it's a free space. As you know, I'm also being insulted by some of Rousseau's fans. I hope that Rousseau and Rousseau fans will achieve their good dreams. Thank you for your kind words.:)
Yea, I can agree with the sentiment, but Rosseau lacks expression in many of his pieces. His La Campanella isn't well-expressed at all. His Baroque and Classical pieces are pretty good because he has good technique- but he lacks expression. Kassia is much more expressive in interpretations, on top of great technique. I appreciate what he does- but he still has far to go, especially when it comes to expression and improving his technique.
Rousseau is actually really smart. He saves the most difficult pieces for his specials, so that people have things to anticipate and a reason to share his channel so that they can see the videos

This is liszt’s piece in every way, it’s based on a theme by paganini on the violin. Many composers use themes from their adversaries.

It hurts when someone arguing between Rousseau and Kassia. I'm a fan of Rousseau. Now I see lots of bash about him. It really hurts. You should respect any musicians not bashing them. Yes, Rousseau is now uploading more pop music but it doesn't mean that he want more subscribers. He want us to enjoy his performance. If you're boring because Rousseau is still not uploading HR2, have patience my friend. Bro that's HR2! Who can play it perfectly in just 1 week? Or maybe months?
@@Kassiapiano Oh thank you
@PlutoJr It's ok. At least now you know
Yea, I can agree with the sentiment, but Rosseau lacks expression in many of his pieces.
