  • Rock solid, time tested, pinpoint accuracy, and reliable as the sun, the best bang for buck AR15. The Smith and Wesson M&P 15 Sport 2 is all about quality, reliability, and superior performance. Basic features, specs, what you get with this gun, how it compares to the competition, will be explained. This is a better overall rifle than the Diamondback DB15, Palmetto State Armory PA-15, Anderson AM-15, Sig Sauer M400, Springfield Saint series, IWI Zion Z15, and the Ruger AR-556 IMO. This is one of the most reliable rifles you can buy at a great budget price, I paid $699 for mine but have seen them up to $100 cheaper then that. If you want a rifle with all the accessories, use this as your starting platform. Red dot sight, handguard / forend, butt stock, grip, M16 full auto bcg, muzzle break, suppressor, whatever it may be! A great choice for sporting, home / self defense, hunting, and collections. Comment with your thoughts below, enjoy!

    Indeed, one of the most underrated, and yet, one of the best built, durable, and accurate AR-15 5.56 platforms (at an affordable price for us, working middle-class Americans) is the: *S&W M&P 15 Sport 2.*
    "Gucci" rifles are expensive, but, truthfully speaking, most civilians do not need those fancy accessorized rifles.
    *Go Smith & Wesson M&P 15!!!* 💪🏼😎🇺🇲

      Mike,I was regular army too-1995-2001-got out May-2001.I own 2 M-4s-1 M-16 A2-1 M-203 with grenade launcher. I mid 2004 I went to Iraq with the Texas National Guard ( I volunteered for 4 deployments ) to Camp TQ,it was an infantry unit,we did joint ops with the marines.It was a marine fob-GO-MARINES !!! LOL. Went for the ACTION and a challenge.In Iraq at the time it was a 140 degrees,when the temp dropped to 90 degrees I was shivering. LOL. 4 months into our tour,some special forces guys came thru our ECPs( entry-control-points )with an 88 vehicle convoy,it was the Iraqee National Guard (they guard were infamously known for throwing down their weapons and running during a fire-fight ) as the last special forces gun-trucks was going thru our gates one of them remarked-Hey,we've heard about you infantry guys-KEEP-UP the GOOD work.OH,man,our heads swelled with PRIDE !!! Don't know till this day if the SF guys were bull&&&&&&& us or not,but,that compliment/comment made us go even harder at the enemy.It went a LONG way.My first tour lasted till Dec-2005,then decided to go do back-to-back tours with another unit. @@mikehascats26 I agree.But,for clearing buildings,houses and rooms the M-4 is much better,especially with the adjustable stock. M-250 may replace the 249 and the M-4 may get replaced too by the army.Was having lots of trouble with the M-4/M-16 A2 in desert terrain tho,sand gets into everything. Lot of malfunctions too,at the most inconvient times. just my thoughts.

The sights and maker (I immediately painted over the M&P billboard) were what sold me out of a number of options; I didn't have to pay even more to get a sight before shooting it). True that! Glad he’s alive and glad he got through all the nonsense. Still looking forward to him suing the media. Looking forward to picking up the 2 I just ordered. My first budget rifles. Mainly for them cause of all the great reviews and as a middle finger to the house passing HB 1808.

    everyone says that a SR15 or a DDm4 or a LMT is the gun you need for a SHTF situation, as much as those rifles are amazing you need to remember some time they wont perform properly with different types of ammo, BUT the M&P 15 II will cycle every 5.56/.223 out there as it was pointed out in the video, thats why this gun is an outstanding rifle, yeah it needs better furniture but other than that its ROCK SOLID.

    One thing I’ll say, if you want a new extended hand guard. It’s a little more than a couple minutes and easy. Couple new tools, and a bit more minutes is more like it.

    The Vietnam era and actually on to the 1980’s the 1/12 twist and 55 grain round moving out 3 times the speed of sound was devastating.looking at classified video probably unclassified by now,some enemy combatants didn’t look happy,the round was unstable by design..we moved on to the 62 grain penetrator,isreal still uses as most enemy combatants in there spere of influence don’t wear body armor,folks can still get the M193 55 grain round,but finding a 1/12 twist barrel you’d probably have to find a retro rifle or a barrel maker that supplies them,but civilians follow the military so when they went 62 grain 1/7 that was it…1/8 1/9 are optimal..military wanted to go 1/8 but 1/7 stabilized tracers better,and as they say the rest is history..

      @@bikesandbangs what can I buy so it won’t recoil too much ??

    • @bikesandbangs
      @bikesandbangs  Рік тому

      You could get a different stock, add a muzzle break, but in the grand scheme of rifle calibers, 223 and 5.56 are kinda at the bottom of the spectrum in terms of recoil. A heavier gun would help eat some of the recoil, but I would pry just work on your shooting stance and grip for recoil before trying to buy accessories

    Good point on ammo. My M&P15 spits out anything. I have a mini 14 and the firing pin broke. I called Ruger and they recommend not using cheap Russian steel cased ammo. Supposedly the primers are very hard according to them. That type of reply doesn’t inspire confidence in the mini.

  • @egmjag

    Yeah I got mine close to 7 years ago. I haven't really shot it that much, so it's still like new. Lots of things happened since I got it so that I haven't gone to the range or desert in years. I only replaced the muzzle device with a VG6 Epsilon muzzle break, which really mitigated the little recoil it had. I added a sling, light brace with light, and a red dot. It's heavier but it's not a big deal since I hardly use it. If and when I get more active, I'll build another one after I buy the necessary remaining parts.
